Alfred Hitchcock birds found in Texas
Fast forward to 6:00. You're welcome.
Is this specifically for the stop start? It won’t affect anything else I’m guessing it’s connected to the battery And if we disconnected off the battery instead unclipping it then it will be a problem? Thanks
Whoever invented the Auto Stop feature should be abandoned in a forest!
Actually it didn't save anything it actually killed your starter up to 10x faster than if you wouldn't have eco stop and start system. Moreover, when that happened you've to call towing service and that you pay, it depends how far you need to tow your car. Minimum is 100$ range 5-10km. However, for Mercedes I've paid 1200$ CND only to replace starter. Not including towing and inconvenience of not having car for week. If you don't have eco Stop and start you'd have starter almost as long as you have your car. But mine First change of starter was 32k km driving. If you can disable eco/stop and go shit do it as soon as you buy your car. I wish I knew that before I bought a car I wouldn't have to spend 14 hundred dollars and stack in traffic for almost 3hr. That's how good is Eco drive. Most stupid options on any car but people don't know till they get in trouble. Disable shit as soon as you get your car. That's real experience on the road with eco stop and go shit.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Will this work on Chevy equinox ?
Not sure. You could try it and see.
I don’t have the button 2021 Chevy equinox 😩 dumb question do you drive in drive or manual
I drive in drive. No one has ever asked that before.🤨
@@VantasticPacifica I thought this was about putting the gear in manual to take the auto stop off. I wonder if what you show here will work on a 2021 equinox
@@luvvleee2000 well, I don't have a Chevy Equinox to experiment on. But if you have one, give it a try and let us know.
Is there a link to your complete build I want exactly this type of build? I have a Chrysler Pacifica 2022.
This video is all that's available online but feel free to ask all the questions you want. Happy to help!😀
The wire you disconnected is your BMS or battery management system. You shouldn't do it. Your choice.
Agree.
You may not know the answer to this, but I'm thinking of buying a 2024 pacifica and was wondering If the procedure is the same?
You're right, I don't know for sure. But I have no reason to think it would be any different.
Intro made me laugh 😂
😁
You completely skipped the single most important part of the video - how do you squeeze the light bulb into the socket? Plug it in first, or after putting it in? The connector is so short it seems impossible.
Yes, sorry about that. That part was edited out becuase I was doing too much cursing at the time. Lol! Just kidding. But to answer your question; It's pretty much impossible to plug or unplug the connector while the bulb is still in the housing. You'll want to plug that wire into the bulb before installing the bulb into the socket. Hope that helps.😊
So i tried this and my battery went to 14.7 vdc charge at all times. This will probably eventually kill your battery if you do any amount of driving. I would not recommend only for that reason. I jammed my switch in and that didn't work either. I do have a 2024 gladiator tho
Yeah, I don't recommend it either but for some people, it might be all they got.😔
So after 4 years have you seen any battery issues? The IBS monitors your battery and I wonder if it still charges as needed
I had that wire unplugged for about a year before installing Auto start/stop Eliminator. But during that year, I didn't notice any battery issues. Here's a video about it. ruclips.net/video/F7lMgQE5fC0/видео.htmlsi=5yMy8mzFVJ-bVV-n
What stop start achieves is burning out batteries and starter motors faster
Possibly.
Just hit the 5 year mark with my 2019. Been flawless!
What a coincidence! My 2019 also just hit the 5 year mark!😁
It's too dark to see you've got dark clothes on the inside of the van is real dark this video needs to be done during the day
Easy fix... Just shine a flashlight on your screen.😁Just kidding. I will keep it in mind on the next one. Thanks for the comment!
You can also outsmart the system by using two feet. One foot on the brake and one just barely mashing the gas, just enough to almost rev the rpm’s and it won’t shut off.
Oh my goodness that's a lot of coordination! If I tried that in Indiana, I would end up in a cornfield.😀
@@VantasticPacifica After watching the video I somehow discovered a button on the dash that turns off the (auto off). The one on our dash looks like a capital A in an almost full circle.
@@AmbassadorEarl I think they all look like that when available. The problem a lot of people find frustrating is that you have to push that button every time you start your car. It's better than nothing but soon cars won't have that button at all.
This is how I solved it… ruclips.net/video/OeLHe6blXf0/видео.html
Well done! And thanks for sharing your link.😀
Thank you
Welcome!😀
Don't ever think nobody is watching this video anymore!...I just viewed it and it has helped me already. I am retired and want to see the country in a mini van. Certainly looks feasible to me now! Thank you!
Well that was an awesome comment! Thank you for that!😁
The problem with start stop is that oil drains from the valve train while stopped so the more times you stop the engine the more ware there is on the valve train.
You would think they'd address that problem. I wonder if they did.
Man, thank you so much, God saves ypu !
Glad it helped!😀
Awesome. I've seen different versions, but I like this one the best.😊
Yay, thank you!😁
Not only engine is damaged on start-stop stupid feature, battery life also will decrease. But removing that connector will affect charging the battery on long term so this is not a solution.
I agree. This is a last resort type idea.
wonder if the setup is still the same. will it work on my 2025 honda crv?
Not sure but if you give it a try, let us know.
All very clever!!!
Thank you!😁
Probably done on purpose so people have to buy new cars because they no longer will last 20 years or more because the engine done.
Maybe. But I don't think they needed to invent a fancy system like this if they didn't want cars to last long. There are easier and cheeper ways. I know because I had an '88 Ford Taurus.😁
You can also disable the seatbelt chime
Ooh, how do you dissable the seatbelt chime???
With Chrysler if you leave your seatbelt off it will disable the start stop. This has zero to do with the environment.🤣
I don't think this system does much at all for the environment.
Will this work with a 2024 terrain GMC
Not sure. But if you try it, let us know what happened.😀
How has your van been doing these days any big repairs?
So far, so good. I'm just over 200k miles now. It feels like I'm doing a lot of maintenance lately but its all normal wear-n-tear stuff like tires, wipers, brakes, and oil changes. I also have a headlight out and a damaged front grill where a chunk of ice hit it last year. But engine and transmission type stuff seems just fine. Hope that helps. 😀
@@VantasticPacifica 200k miles on a '19? Good lord lol... I can't believe the transmission is original I guess they are good transmissions. I have the '18 Touring L 62k miles drives like the day it was new. Other than maintenance no issues
@@VantasticPacifica Have you heard about any head gasket issues on these?
@@seatime674 No, not yet. But I also haven't been looking.
@@VantasticPacifica At 200k miles probably nothing to worry about for you, ha.. I'm on a '17+ Pacifica only site and pretty much daily someone chimes in with a blown HG almost 1300 and counting. There's a material defect in Pacifica for sure but luckily a low % number...
13:33 😄😄😄
Now I gotta check what's happening at 13:33.😁
Golf Cart Mode!
Indeed!😁
I call it "Golf Cart Mode"!
Golf carts are cool.😎
it's so ridiculous that manufacturers force this feature down our throats
Strongly agree!
Here cuz thumbnail haha😂
Oh, you should've seen me after I took that pic... I couldn't stop giggling!🤣
Bull crap, the environment, save gas maybe. But how about wear and tare on your starter, and not to mention that motor wear and tare, everytime an engine stops the oil pump stops working and all the oil drains down to the oil pan , it has to repush the oil back up to the lifters, the cam shafts, and lubricant the springs to the valve stems.
Yep, you're not the first to mention that.
Our 2019 Hghlander will not shut down if the HVAC is set for defog.

It is called corflute in Australia and available at Bunnings.
Corflute? That's a funny word but I guess it makes sense. I'll call it corflute from now on!😁 Sadly, I don't think we have a Bunnings in the US.😥
@@VantasticPacifica no Bunnings is like .... dang mental blank hahaha. It is a big hardware chain. Home Depot! I mentioned what it is called an Bunnings in case another Australian wanted to know.
With that plug unplugged, does it go through state inspection without any flags popping up after they plug into the car with their equipment? Curious to know if that will make you fail state inspection. LMK
It passed just fine in Indiana.

@@AA-yx2tn Damn! What kind of car do you have?
My wife hates this on her 2015 Malibu LS Fleet, I don’t have a button or the added battery module. The green rubber in the connector is the “Weather Pack” seal. Place some dielectric grease if left off. It’s sold at home improvement stores in automotive. Never leave the hood partially open, but if that cancels the stop-start system, I will remove it and tape it down with a dab of weather strip adhesive on the end. It won’t unravel.
Great ideas!😁
