Yes very nice work on those from the archives, it's amazing isn't it how looking back at old images makes you think differently, you originally passed on those shots and now you've bought them to life , I do similar myself from time to time. Looking forward to more from the archives😊. I know Williams work well , and what makes it a bit extra for me is that both of you are from NZ, where I grew up , it's very nostalgic for me watching your video's.

Yes indeed, those two shots were well-worth revisiting.

It's a great point you make here Paul. I delete the really bad shots (out of focus, subject cut off etc) before processing anything but leave the rest. It's funny also how some shots that I loved originally, I look at the processing now and hate it, so re-do it. Like you say, it's part of the ongoing learing process.

Re visiting my older photos, as you found can yield some overlooked gems. This prompted me to organize my back catalog and in doing so I found images that I had completely forgotten about.
I've been with you since your early days Paul, and I remember you producing some outstanding images. I'd love to have a rummage around in your catalogue 😁

Hi Paul. Thanks very much for these and others. You've been a constant inspiration due to the simplicity and soulfulness of your images. That is why I've been able to revisit your old postings time and again. Cheers and take care

The one major thing I've learned from a life time in photography is the more I learn the more I realise I know bugger all. Nice vid mate I'll checkout Williams chan. cheers

RAW files are great - as software improves you can use that original data more effectively. Some useful thoughts for reviewing and re-evaluating.

I usually go back and look at my old stuff. more often than not, I find that I actually like them. Ansel Adams used to reinterpret his nagatives a few yeats apart, and its fascinating how he saw the final print diffetently from his earlier visions. Something to t hink about.

5.20, fabulous image, great detail throughout! any photographer would be proud to have taken this one, 7:45, I don't think kiwi's do woodlands, it's not that we don't have woodlands, i think we are spoiled for choice, i would almost never choose pinus radiata as a woodland. my problem not anyone else's, thanks for sharing, I was the second viewer to the channel and 20 have viewed it since, thanks for sharing

Yeap, don't chuck you old stuff. You never know when you take an image today that suddenly makes sense of a shot you've got in a dark and dusty part of your hard drive; suddenly you've got another plan for a project.

    You are spot on!
I have nearly every picture I’ve ever taken. Been shooting since 1991 and my catalog is dense with hidden gems that I once overlooked.
