LUIS! THAT SIGN IS AWESOME! Thanks so much for the shout out, you're a great friend man! As far as the arms, leave them plastic not only for weight savings but its nice to have a cheap breaking point. On the engine, dont sell it. Definitely the highest quality stock engine available.. not to mention you won't make anything on it.. they're available for $299 at Daves. looking forward to part 2 man. Stay safe and we'll talk soon!
@@SmithRCStudios yeah I watch your video so gives me a idea how to change mine to a race car only problem is I can seem to find the same motor I have looked but nothing on th website plus I live in Australia so it's abit hard getting parts from America here
I just ordered a lot of parts from DDM for my 5T. Nothing crazy though. I did get a Bartolone Velocity stack, aluminum wheels were on sale ($50 off regular price) couldn't pass them up. Got a full set of red bead locks for my stock wheels. Also got a few tools like the Bartolone multi tool. I didn't order a filter kit for the velocity stack as I wasn't going to put it on until I get a new pipe.
That modified rc diff build i would love to see as i have one and a little skeptical to put it together please emphasize on the next video!!! Thanks in advance!!
Just bought one of these today. First rc since I was a kid.... 30 years... And back then I just had one that ran on 8 AA batteries. Trying to find a video of the break in (not the unboxing, I have seen plenty of those)
Is it better to have a bigger pipe for 2 strokes? how does that work cause i know they build up compression in them. I just know on cars it is terrible for power to have a wide diameter straight pipe. that "more flow more power" is a myth more flow in but not out is what you want.
Yeah so the big exhaust pipes that have the expansion chambers has been around from the dirt bike days. People have been studying these for a long time-and it is pretty much a general consensus that for 2-Stroke engines these expanded pipes help with compression and power output. That is not the same case with 4-stroke. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers
I’m definitely interested in buying a 5t but it will be my first gas Rc! I have traxxas an Arrma Rc already. I’m wondering how’s the maintenance a reliability of it , what gas do you recommend, an any starting issues I should be concerned about?
Good to hear! You will love the 5T i promise. Okay so these are not like the little nitro engines that are very finicky and stubborn-these are actual 2-stroke pump gasoline cars. So there’s no issues starting as long as you do it the CORRECT way. I have a video on specifically this. Scroll to my latest videos and you can find it there. And also, these trucks are super reliable and robust. I recommend regular pump gas 91-93 octane mixed with oil at 26:1 ratio. You can always adjust from there. There is no ONE CORRECT way honestly. Let me know if you have any more questions
Hey i appreciate the feedback. The heavy fluids will be used for the bigger engine on the other vehicle lol.. but i think I’ll run something similar to your set up. Thanks 😊 cheers
ReedCase all day long ! Just make more power . Especially a Bartolone ReedCase because out of all the ReedCase’s with Zenoah heads BR ReedCase’s produce the most volume! More volume in case with a good modified head for your application will make the most power . Facts ! The only problem is that ReedCases especially works of art like this one in this video cost the most money. But don’t get me wrong Chris Bartolone can also modify one hell of a Piston port and it will be low budget that makes great power aswell just look at my friend Luis Irizarry drag Baja . Luis couldn’t afford Bartolones ReedCase but he made him one hell of a 34 piston because it was beating up on many engines at the track including some ReedCases from other makers Facts I show this on past race videos ! Got proof if you need to see
@@BOTAJELL I’m looking at a budget of about 450, not to high, I’m thinking about either an OBR 34 reedcase long block, or a BR 32 piston port, I saw that video on your channel and that engine ripped
Definitely a Reedcase for sure. But as John mentioned below they can be a bit pricey. So i recommend a piston port engine if you don’t want to spend too much money.
@@zeeshanhb9520 hmm, do you think it revs higher than stock, I saw online in a forum that reed is for bottom end and piston port for top end, I am looking for top end
Sure. This Bartolone 34cc Reed Case is anodized Blue. Made with billet clutch housing and piston has been lightened, windowed and CNC machined to match transfer ports. Cylinder is machined on a 5-axis CNC to ensure match with Reed case. The exhaust port also gets the full CNC treatment. The transfer ports are personally hand finished by Chris for optimal flow and performance. Cheers
@@SmithRCStudios Don't get me wrong mate I also have losi 5ive and I love it I just consider it to be more of a bash than race platform and sorry if my comment sounded rude it was 3am where I live and my humor gets "sharper" when im tired.
@@SmithRCStudios Btw i saw you are into bartolone stuff. I assume you are using their pipes, if so you should try olimat me and my friend have exacly the same setup in our 5ive's 2.0 only diffrences are color and the pipe. I run bart he runs olimat and let me tell you bart has slightly beter super low range(basicly the moment you start moving) but olimat overall has a beter performance in low and mid range while top end is pretty much the same. It worth mentioning we tested both pipes with stock 32cc's (both tuned by me so there was no edge cuz of tuner's skill).

Love to see it. My 5t 2.0 is the very first and only rc car i got.

I just pre-ordered the Zelos 48g what is your oil mixture should I run 28 to 1 ? And should I go through and lock tight things first before I run
For boats we are running Redline Oil at 16:1.. so in other words 8oz of that oil to 1 gallon of gas.
I’m looking at getting into 5th scale…. I don’t see a lot of ppl doing custom bodies like in smaller scales
Yeah that’s a good point. People do though. I’ve seen very nice bodies for a lot of platforms and also paint jobs.

You are talking about the stock 32 that came in the Losi right?

Losi is tougher and more fun imo but when it comes to racing mcd is plain beter with amount of adjustment.
