    Thank you! It’s so helpful. How to ask for a latte without lactose, or say a latte with oat milk or almond milk? I ran into difficulties to ask for a latte with alternative milk.

    I have only just discovered your channel through some of your older videos, which I prefer when you show your face, even if just for a little bit - it makes you feel like my own personal tutor! Haha :)

    When ordering for someone else at the table, like my wife and daughter can I say, "Prenda un pizza con....or Lei Prenda...... There seem to be so many possible variations.

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  9 месяцев назад +2

      You need to conjugate the verb "prendere" accordingly to the subject. "Prenda" is subjunctive. "Prende" (present tense) is the correct one in this instance

  • @denasutera

    Confused. Do not use avere when asking for food, but ok if you ask for grated cheese?

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  Год назад +1

      Ottima domanda! We do not use "avere" for food when ordering/saying what you are going to have for drinking/eating (eg. "I'll have a pizza tonight", we will say either "Prendo una pizza stasera" or "Mangio una pizza stasera").
      But when you ask someone to get something (as in "May I have another glass, please?") we can use avere. So "Posso avere un altro bicchiere, per favore?" is correct. So the key here is that you are asking + using "potere" = "may". Hope this helps!
