when you have a paragraph left of your 1500 word essay.
Liam Terry Lmfaoooo
Why do I understand *exactly* what you’re saying...
This was a priceless fucking joke lol
Liam Terry bruh this is hilarious you took the words out of my head 😂
Most accurate description.
A couple of minutes in I just tuned him out and started reading the comments section 😅
Saurabh Pradhan same
Ha same!
Honestly I'm a couple minutes in and I was thinking is it just me and then I went to the comment section 😅😂
@@yazlinv.6131 i was looking in the comments also .....for a different reason , i was thinkin there would be alot of people calling him out for doing black face but instead or paintin his face he tattooed his arms black
@@megganbeck6772 was it to see if any calling him a racist ?? I feel like hes mocking black people by doint black face but to his arms
I feel like this would make more sense if they also showed the questions he is being asked.
I feel like they asked him like 20 questions and he chose to answer all of them at the same exact time.
haha facts
😂
I feel for the guy who had to edit this.. hahaha
😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
Idk what everyone's going on about, I really got what he was saying
I feel like it’s just that it could be said more concisely
Sir Opallius
He’s trying to be vague and it’s painfully obvious
@@re8618 he has to be vague because anyone with an iPad can design what he does with any number of apps
Dont want to judge the guy, i'm sure he is cool and does great work, but he is just randomly vomiting disjointed words and ideas here lol. He's got to take a moment to get his script together
he thinks geometrically
I think it would have been good if they had intercut more shots of his work in with his words, so it could speak for itself. He didn't seem to say anything meaningful, but he doesn't need to, we just need to see what he's capable of.
Script or not, this is the best it can get while baked from acid.
he grew up in Berkeley what you expect
“Super high precision”
Dude was extremely passionate and maybe a little nervous. I really appreciate him taking the time to share his perspective.
I do this so much where I completely over explain. It stinks xD its deff anxiety.
I feel like you could hear the anxiety in his voice so clearly
Sameeee
@@tryingmybestokay i see no anxiety...
Acid
Actual tittle "So you want a computer mandala tattoo while someone explains what they found from a google search of the keywords 'sacred geometry'."
Straight out of wikipedia
Sad thing is, non acid baked people have actually studied it and know it without running into wikipedia, it does have some significance philosophically, but that guy talks about it like an enthusiastic fourth grader would explain a black whole after watching RUclips videos about it.
@@allikitos exactllly
God bless you.
He gave me anxiety I understood his train of thought and what he was saying but omg
I needed the full 5 second seltzer ad to rest my brain, regroup, and go back in. .....
I still dont know much about sacred geometry tattoos after this.
When you wing a 12 minute presentation on a topic that takes 1 minute to explain...
not to be pedantic but nature doesn't follow the golden ratio everywhere, but rather logarithmic curves in general
Be pedantic, my fellow mathematician
I hate math lol everything is a pattern that's not special true not everything follows the golden ratio in fact most things don't follow the golden ratio not that I know too much about the golden ratio but
Cyborg Octopus: ow, my brain hurts now...😖
😂😂
When you ask a pastor a simple "Good evening, how are you?" and he takes out the Bible
Yup never talk to your pastor especially if you're at church against your will as a child
All I got from this is that he named his son circle
....what?
Exactly
I thought he was actually pretty articulate and I found what he said really interesting. Yes, maybe there were some off-topic points but at the end of the day I finished the video more educated about the history of sacred geometry as an artistic style, the social connotations behind it, the mathematical background and the reasoning behind why he does what he does. Not exactly sure what people were expecting from this. I learned some stuff that I didn't necessarily anticipate learning. How is that a bad thing? That's just my 2 cents.
Made it a few minutes in. Have no idea what he is saying.
He's too wise for the common folk
@@DavidAlberti He's too baked from acid for the common folk.
Not that the common folk is not baked, but that guy gave "toasted brain cells soup" a whole new meaning
I don't think he does either
dude said he worships rectangle jesus
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Acid 👌
Everyone in the comments is giving this guy shit for over-explaining or talking nonsense, whilst using elaborate vocabulary...as if he has no real intelligence in what he is saying. I have to disagree entirely, I was really impressed with all he had to say. There wasn't one part I didn't understand, he is very clear in my opinion, very perceptive and artistic. I hope whoever reads this, opens their mind and gives what he has to say a chance, before scrolling and reading anymore negative comments. He has obviously evolved his style of tattooing, since he himself was tattooed, and is well-informed of both the craft itself and the concepts of scared geometry/symbolic tattooing in general. One particular aspect of his approach, I was really impressed with, was his dedication to connecting with the piece/s he tattoos on his clients. He understands that his intentions and theirs need to find understanding in order for the art to convey it's purpose/true symbolism, as well as look it's best. We need more artists like this, the body is scared and should be honoured, valued and adorned if one wishes. What a cool, dude.
i love him omg. everything he explained about sacred geometry makes total sense. its a tough concept to put words too, but he explained everything spot on. such a cool vibe. i am beyond inspired. what a great role model . i hope to do spiritual tattoos one day.
“Growing up in Berkeley, and all these books” pretty much explains it all 😭 real bay shit
Bruh I just watched this at 2x speed, my brain is fried
Rohit Ballagan 😂😂😂
dude named his son circle
Regardless of him speaking rather confusing... His work is gorgeous.
He speaks through his work. Sometimes my mind is absolutely overflooded that when I try to explain my thoughts it seems completely boring and pointless. He has no idea where to start when speaking his thoughts. I truly can understand.
I'm a simple man, I see Nicholas cage and I click the video.
does anyone know which app he is working with? it looks like amaziograph but it's something else.
Love Dillon's style, great that you got him for this topic.
I actaully really enjoyed hearing him talk, i'd love to hear him on a podcast
Yo inked what happened 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I only understood that he started tattooing at 18. That's it.
He also got an apprenticeship and he's from Berkeley. But otherwise... 🤔

Dillon is amazing...been following him for years...dunno why everyone is hating in the comments 😅 I followed everything he said perfectly 👽
@Inked This style reminds me of the Thai sacred tattoos. It's traditional and can be dated back for thousands of years. This kind of tattoos is believed to give magical abilities to the person, e.g. protection against sharp objects or bad luck. I think it's really interesting... Maybe you should check it out a bit.
I totally understood and resonated with everything he said. It’s some peoples way of expressing , he has a different kind of mind. Amazing work !!!

I guess I'm the only one who understood what this guy was saying? I'm not saying he has fluent speech, but I understood all the concepts coming out of his mouth. Perhaps if you know nothing about sacred geometry this could be confusing, but I imagine most people watching this video are interested. Maybe not?
Bingo!
Am I the only one who got what he was trying to say? Or am I as crazy as him? :D
If you guys are interested in sacred geometry look up Randall Carlson and his lectures in sacred geometry.
Yeah if you want to spout endless new-age nonsense like this guy.
Nitin Anand exactly
I would've liked to see more of his work
Would love to get a geometric tattoo from this guy.
As would I-- as long as he doesn't say anything whilst I'm getting it >
@@theangriestcatintheworld just find any artist with an iPad... download a mandala making app and boom there you have it

That's awesome!!! Love sacred geometry circuit. I have one. Makes me smile each time I look at it. 🙏
Pretty much fits the stereo type of someone I would think of being a sacred geometry expert
I have a whole leg sleeve of sacred geometry so I was hyped for this video🙌🏻

I zone out, and than I start to hear him say something smart so I tune back in and than he rambles all over again... makes no sense
It’s like in nature and umm the golden ratio and yer like im pretty sure it’s why I listen to Tool and take psychedelics but you know it’s just like really aesthetic cos it basically reflects us. You know what I mean..... the pyramids right, Leonardo Di Vinci and the Vitruvian man. Dude, it’s all connected and sooo deep man *starts shoe gazing
ROFL
Exactly
Even though he's just speaking vaguely because he didn't even actually give the golden ratio his tattoos are still amazing
I thought he made perfect sense :-/ Reading the comments, I feel like I’m doing something wrong!
Nothing wrong. The questions were edited out so we only get the responses. It's just blowing some people's minds.
Much of what he said applies to all tattoos and not about geo.
This guy was the real deal in his past life he probably knew he'd tattoo and be cooler in this life :]
What app is he using to make these patterns
When you have a 1000 word essay so you use thesaurus.com for synonyms to add more words.
of course he's from berkeley 😄
That’s crazy man, have you ever done DMT? 😉
Ok Joe Rogan👌😂😂lol
I'm confused
I once had a teacher who told me, if you are struggeling with long elaborate explanations, its probably because you dont really understand the topic.
Nailed it 👏🏻👏🏻
Was really looking forward to Inked putting out a So you want a Sacred Geometry video, but this was pretty disappointing. Didn't gain any real information.
there is nothing to say you can make everything this dudes ever done with a simple iPad app
Ummm I'm tattd from the throat to my ankles but wtf is up with those arms? To each their own...I guess?....
Its called a piercer's arm i personally don't like them but they are usually cover ups i believe

@@slypolar6137 same here I'd prefer to get colors on my tattoos but as you said to each their own
@@trashypunkman7559 yea I'm full of color...looks less like an inmate or just a weird green haha
I didn’t even care that he talked a lot I learned some. DOPE
Sacred geometry is the universal explanation of all forms of life.
Much simplier than actual science.
Is there a difference between sacred geometry and geometry tattoos?
It's just a tattoo dude. Calm down. Not once does he mention Fibonacci. He's just making this shit up.
It's also a common misconception that the golden mean/ratio exactly fits the proportions of our bodies and most items in nature.
Loved the story of naming his son Enzo
This could have been fixed by adding the questions he was asked or making up questions to make the answers make sense so it doesn’t seem like he’s rambling like I am now
The background music doesn't help with the chaotic energy in this video lmfao
First "Tattoo Style" interview I didn't watch to the end.
I feel like he really has a lot to say but he has an issue of saying his ideas and opinions cohesively.
Amazing !What kind of software did he use to design it
Wish we had artists like him in SLC
I think what he’s saying makes complete sense, he just has a case of verbal diarrhoea, like his speech is quite convoluted. He needs an editor for speaking. But I love him, he rocks, I’d go and get a tattoo from him for sure.
Came to the comments…and I’m glad we’re all in the same page here 😅
Best comment section ever, Im crying 😂
“Aliens” 👐🏻
What are those black work, feminine, like line work that follows th contours of the body called? Sometimes incorporating sacred geometry?
Aka the new age tribal tattoo fad...seen so many of these. Love how original people are all getting the same thing!
Something as deep as this is not a fad. It's literally how basically everything in the universe is designed
@@lleae the meaning isnt lost to me I'm a hippy myself it's the overall oversaturation this style of tattoo has become. Like I said new age tribals that are "so deep bro you couldnt even comprehend how connected we all are!"
@@lleae I dont know if your joking or not but😐😂😂😂
Ah. I think it's a good thing people are waking up and supporting something good.
@@dogsconkers tribal tattoos which were meant to seem badass and edgy don't really translate to the representation of sacred geometry, which is more about complete oneness passed' the physical limitations of the human body.
If it looks repetitive, it's because it displays the innermost basic signs, symbolizing the underlying geometric patterns found throughout our universe. Everything in life is made out of patterns, even our brains are machines designed to recognize paterns. There's some basic patterns that morph into every other thing that exists; That's the point of sacred geometry, like the flower of life or metatrons cube for e.g. Everything is patterns, everything is one.
To me, that's the beautiful thing about sacred geometry. From there, to actually executing the tattoo right is a different story.
Okay I fuck with this dude. Didn't expect to hear about Göbelki Tépe or the great pyramids, but hey I ain't complaining
"Predominantly"
My dad is an astrologer
Yeah...I was just thinking the EXACT same thing myself!👌😂😂😅
That boy Dylan lit af
It's a common misconception that our bodily proportions and loads of things found in nature conform to the golden mean/ratio, the fact he hasn't even bothered to research that just tells you he's talking rubbish.
You can litterally find a pattern in anything that doesn't mean anything also you're correct
tell me more please because am trying to convince a crazy friend
i feel like he’s the type of dude who pulls an acoustic guitar out at a party and starts playing wonder wall

Does he have his hairline tattooed or is there a full tattoo under his hair?
I want to know the name of the software he uses
Thanks 🙆🙆
i at least wanted to see more tattoos to get my mind off his ramblings

Cool I'm glad someone is bring this to the tattoo public I have never had a tattoo do to not liking it later but I do want to get my head Done .
Everybody acting like he's supposed to be the spokesperson for sacred geometry/ that whole culture. If this is ur first time hearing abt this stuff and the culture behind it then maybe u should take some time to realize ur listening to a tattoo artist not a historian/philosopher. He's interested in that stuff on the side, not as his primary focus and therefore wont be able to articulate it as easily, especially this topic considering its one of the most complicated ideas available to man (the literal nature of the observable and unobservable universe ). So instead of making a smartass comment making fun of how illogical or crazy it sounds, maybe u should make a better effort to try and understand it before making a judgment. I mean if u think this is enough information to make a judgment on a entire topic (let alone one as dense as this) then I think its safe to say you're coming from a place of arrogance. Its just funny to see ppl dismiss things/ideas they haven't even tried to understand, too many people think they know everything and honestly they're usually the ones who know the least
Wait. . . what?
Does anyone know the name of the art program he’s using at the beginning of the video?
I am planing on getting a rose dagger traditional tattoo in a month should i do it ?
Yes, that will age well ;). Don't put a mandala anywhere near it haha

Dillon is a crazy good/humble tattooist!! All these haters are sleeping on him!!! I would be honored to even just sit and chat with him, let alone wear one of his creations.
Dude is just rambling about shapes and has no coherent point. The style itself is also bland for the most part, adding bright colors or contrasts in general would make it look better in my opinion
bigzcuz it totally does, sacred geometry with colour gradients looks amazing
I have no idea what I just heard but I’m in
