a strong folk/pagan flavor for mayday from psykheart for this challenge, first thing I thought was again midsommer, the film, but I had already done this lol.. so I immediately thought this song that had stuk with me, but hadnt really read its lyrics. Leslie Fish is an awesome lyricist and storyteller but is this Isaac Bonewits lyrics.
so a cover of this anarcho-pan-paganist song of the late leslie fish/ Isaac Bonewits, from her 2012 pagan themed album. this is the 3rd cover I do from this one of a kind folk and filk/space shantie musician and anarchist
This is propably the best pan-paganist song ever written , and I have to note it was written by Isaac Bonewits, founder of the Neopagan organizations Ár nDraíocht Féin , in response to the original christian hymn "babylon has fallen" , melody too.. I always love it when I discover gospel/christian songs I like. there are tons of different version of the original

Actually, the lyrics are by Isaac Bonewits. I just did the tune, harmony, and first recording.

Honoured to see you comment. Well, the sound mixing is quite wrong but I kept (the first take) mostly for the funny dance moves and improv solo, as this is for a weekly jam/improv challenge. I will propably make a more 'proper' multitrack version.
