This is so helpful but in future videos it would be even better if your right and wrong sides were a little more contrasting so we could see more easily! Also very much appreciate you showing us how to shorten the zip as it's far more realistic to have the wrong size zip!! Thanks so much

I made this in a black textured scuba and it turned out great. I have to reiterate that you really need to check the mirroring of your front pieces before cutting them out. Lay out your paper pattern pieces first so you can visualize how they come together. I was super careful (or so I thought) and still ended up needing to cut a new under bust part B. I didn’t have enough fabric so that piece is at a different orientation than the others but I’m hoping no one notices.

I like that you cut out your darts on your pattern pieces and mark each piece using the pattern as you sew it. My marks tend to get lost by the time I get to that portion. The jacket is beautiful

What about the grain line? Looks like you just placed it down without checking the grain line.
How do you get the pattern
Have you every used transfer paper and a wheel? It makes a light, but contrasting dotted line - I think it's wax or chalk and wax or something, washes right out. Very handy. I've had my pack for many years, so I don't know where to buy more, but it lasts forever!

gosh , that white fabric of yours, is impossible to see what you are doing. Please try to do another one with a good contrasting back and front colour. Great tutorial, I'm just battling with that white.
