I'm glad you got your priorities in order, Simon and you bought a Chirstmas Tree. Good for you! Also great new that your surrogate Mom is pregnant. Too bad that Bram wasn't there with you when you found out, but I'm sure you've celebrated together . Great vlog, Simon, but I miss Bram being with you.
looks like your week is passing quickly and full of good things; Bram will love the Christmas tree. Better weather due here tomorrow - cold again but sun if we are lucky!! Congratulations also on the pregnancy 😊
❤❤GEFELICITEERD as.papa's . Heel mooi nieuws.
Congratulations on the news about your baby. I'm over the moon happy for you both. Do you or Braam have any siblings? Sometime if your parents are OK with it, it would be nice to meet them. Hugs, Barney USA
CONGRATULATIONS! I am so so pleased for you both that you are now expectant parents! A little way to go but at leats you are on the pathway to parenthood! Progress will be slower in winter sadly but you both have such committment and so accomodating, the delays you experience are not affecting your enthusiasm. Be great to see Bram again next week and the huge truck with all the stuff he is bringing down. Tho seeing simon acting like a lumberjack was fascinating! Have a great week and cant wait for the next vlog!
Ah thanks so much! Haha we need those months to prepare everything over here. We have a lot to do so no need to slow down in the winter. Can’t wait for Bram to return! And to see the truck ofcourse! Thanks.
Simon, I find it easier to replace the chain than to sharpen it. The battery powered chain saws like yours are great to have. Congratulations on becoming dads to be. Love following your videos SO much. I enjoy doing the outside work too, Simon. Looks great !
Unfortunately I lost my husband to Multiple Sclerosis, but we were planning to, until he was diagnosed. I can't bring myself to change my profile photo. Going to enjoy seeing you guys have the dream though. Thankfully you are sharing your journey.❤
It has been, like everything has been on pause since, but watching brings back the great memories. I'm also a bit of a dreamer, this year I'll hopefully be selling up and starting on a journey of my own, hopefully restoring a place of my own. I haven't decided where yet, I plan to travel through Europe looking for my dream property. Thank you for your response guys.❤
Ah so you want to come to Europe. Any idea on where you would like to end up? Have you lived in Europe for some time already? Even if it’s a tiny bit, I’m happy we can help you dream :)
You are doing a great job of clearing the roadway. Personally I would get rid of any trees close to buildings. Roots and branches are inevitably a problem. All your brick wall scraps, would they be any good for pathways in your garden or around buildings to lessen the mud? They can be compressed once laid. Just a thought. Best wishes.
We don't have many trees around the house that's why I want to keep some. And with hot summers it's great to have some big trees. Some things we might be able to re-use, sure! Thanks so much!
hi guys, congrats on the news 👶. You mentioned something about a permit to burn stuff/wood. Just want to suggest that you invest in a wood chipper, and use it to enrich your grounds. Especially if you want to start growing more vegies next year and you seem to have a lot of grass land. Of course you can only use untreated wood for your garden.
nope. on my small balcony in Amsterdam I have very little use for it. but every RUclips Homestead channel has a shortage of woodchips, and eventually buys one. the sooner you start chipping the better 😝@@vangaze
👋 Simon and Bram Congratulations 🙏 ❤ i cant wait ❤ 👼 Im not surprised with all of your good luck... You are a wonderful person / couple❤ Beautiful 🎄 See you soon 🙏✌️🫵
Perhaps if you speak to the pole replacement guys, if they are nearby, they may be happy to leave you other poles too. Your wood stack is certainly growing. Good work. Best wishes.
Congratulations to you both, you guys have the perfect life. If you are going to have a baby in around 8 month you had better get a move on with the house and prepare for the new arrival. A job well done there Simon and a lot of hard work and not a Bram in sight, he will be proud of you.
I've been addicted to "Chateau Diaries", "Escape to Rural France" etc for a long time and you're the latest to join my addiction! Lol. I'd be there myself in a heartbeat if I could but am having to settle for watching from Toronto.
I subscribed for many reasons. Firstly, you are kind and honest. You are loving with each other and your animals, very, hard working, your specialties and trades complement each other's beautifully. You are fun. There is so much to like and you are fine examples in this crazy world of what matters. Heartwarming also comes to mind. Once you can get a removal order for the plastic dumped in the forest you'll be cleared of the incredible & internecine effort you exerted in order to rid the property of old junk from the previous owner. The branch fence looks incredible. Perhaps you could ask the villagers for contributions from their spring prunings...? Luna especially is taking on project & property management roles very seriously haha. The creeping plant by the vege patch is bidy bid which gets little round sticky seeds, which are very hard to remive from the dog coats, you're probably aware already. Keep up the momentum but take care to rest too. Time is moving so, so fast. It is all looking incredible and there is so much to look forward to yet. And to close as part of your question as to why. Gratitude. For your efforts in allowing us the viewers to share in your story. Especially for simply being yourselves. ❤
Ah thanks so much for all the kind words. I am going to ask the neighbours, maybe they have any branches left but I first need the time to continue the dry hedge project haha. Thanks again and I hope to see you next Friday!
We guess that by the time you were back by yourself your parents have left too bad you could have had a nice visit with them we didn't know it was so late in the year but we do like your Christmas tree we are going back and reading comments and reading comments from older videos so that we don't ask questions that somebody else already asked. You worked really hard on cutting all that brush grandmother worries about you doing that alone but being an older video apparently you made it just fine
We wanted something else than the Netherlands, I always liked france a lot. And the weather is normally a little better here but not unbearable in the summer. So it was a lot of things. Could have been Spain or Germany too I guess
Congratulations on the baby guys! You will make great dads.
Thanks! We hope so haha. We can’t wait. Take care!
Many congratulations, fantastic news! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much. We are very excited!
That's great, it's the best thing in the world because I know I have a couple!!

Ah thanks so much! Haha it’s a bit of a deadline but I think it will be ok. It’s more important than a kitchen so we will give it some priority!

Haha yeah true but buying a new chain every week isn’t a solution either 😂.
Thanks so much. Have a great day!
👶❤️

Fantastic watching your reaction to the news, it gave me a lump in my throat. So happy for you both.❤
Thanks so much. Do you guys have kids or ever thought about it?
Unfortunately I lost my husband to Multiple Sclerosis, but we were planning to, until he was diagnosed. I can't bring myself to change my profile photo. Going to enjoy seeing you guys have the dream though. Thankfully you are sharing your journey.❤
I’m so sorry for that. That must still be very hard :( I’m grateful you are with us on this journey and we can share it with you.

Hi! thanks so much. That’s a very good idea actually. I will see what the possibilities are. Do you have one yourself?
nope. on my small balcony in Amsterdam I have very little use for it. but every RUclips Homestead channel has a shortage of woodchips, and eventually buys one. the sooner you start chipping the better 😝@@vangaze
Haha no it won’t work on a balcony. I will check it out. Thanks.
Congratulations on the achievement of having your child!! I really hope, all works out for you with the child and the farm 😘

Congratulations 🤩 great vlog again, I loved the dogs featuring heavily this week! And so much good news too, very happy for you ♥️
Haha I think I replaced Bram with the dogs. I only found that out while editing. Thanks so much!
