Marc is not going to give up until he finds the entrance to the tunnel. Amy, you might find holes all over the place!! I love your channel so much. To everyone watching please subscribe to help them through all their hard work. xx
Marc, if your University has a geology or mining engineering department they might have a ground penetrating radar. The Uni I went to had one and it was mostly unused.
I do hope that is the case! But I think that the granite bedrock will cause problems😢! Hopefully there is more ground between the surface & granite in the area of excavation❤!
I love your nonchalant way of raising your children and including them in your everyday lives. You both seem like natural parents and it’s obvious you delight in your children. I hope you found what you were digging for.😊
@@Chroniclesofrosieresmany parents want to get through something, without the “help” of their children. What they, unlike you don’t understand is these are the wonderful experiences that as adults, they will remember. Not to mention, it is an amazing way to build their confidence, after all they got to help with amazing projects, just like their parents. You are both amazing parents, it shows the love and devotion you have for one another and for your beautiful children ❤️ It is one of the best things I’ve seen as far as a couple and parents of small children ❤️
Everyone is curious 🧐 Clement is sure a sweet spirited young man. I love how you just let Clement explore and help without constantly telling him no. Gentle parenting. ❤❤❤❤
What do you get when a horticulturist marries an archaeologist? Amy comes in with a broom, a brush & a dustpan. Marc says wait, I have a better idea! He goes to get his digger😂!!! ❤❤❤
Amy, your videos are great. I love how you combine your property work & your family work. I’m also so impressed by the fact that you read the comments & respond. I don’t know how you find the time, but I appreciate what you do. Thanks😘🤗🇨🇦
Thank you very much! I don't manage to respond to everyone but I do my best to reply to as many as I can because people are kind to take the time to write!
Finish the coach house or find the cellar? That’s an easy choice for Marc! So glad you finally got him to focus on the Coach House and you moved in … at least I think you have moved in 😊❤
This episode was hilarious. Everyone digging, slavemaster ants, the toilet drain as opposed to a cellar entrance, Margo throwing dirt for Amy to shovel again, and chickens surrounding Marc's digger. They are so well trained😅. Patricia
There is definitely some technology that can help you find underground structures. Have seen them on other shows on TV. I think you should investigate it as it might save you a lot of time and effort. It is like sonar you’ve been the water.
I wonder if any of Amy's archaeological friends/colleagues have or have access to a ground penetrating x-ray machine and might want to Donate their time & the equipment❤??? No photos from when the previous owners were there? Maybe place an advert for anyone with historic pictures or even memories of the past life of the Chateau? I'd be willing to bet that if you end up having to rent the equipment, the bedrock will cause problems😢!!! It's Always Something! If it ain't one thing, it's five or six others😥!!!
Another fascinating yet hilarious post. Amy with her shovel and brush and Mark with the digger. Clement and Juliette are having a magical childhood with parents who include them in everything. ❤
Such a fascinating situation you have on your hands. Can’t wait to see if you finally find the hidden cellar. Love watching Clement “helping” along with the chickens. Your chickens have some great names 😂😂😂😂😂
hi guys. how are you. maybe you had four towers. see if the window that is walled up on the right side (3f) on your facade is somehow similar to some opening in the tower. and on the upper left (3f) a window in the same way, possibly something similar. it seems that they were made later. happy hunting.
Chateau de Montmagner apparently had four towers until a king ordered three of them demolished (he wanted his own castle to be the best or something...), so perhaps there were four at Rosieres
Bonjour Amy and Marc, this is exciting, I was hoping you would have found the cellars. Oh well a cliffhanger for another time. Thank God for the digger. Thanks Margot and company. Love from N.Y.
Sorry that you’re not feeling so well Amy. Just wondering if you might be suffering from Labyrinthitis or Vestibular Neuronitis? I suffer from it in and off and it’s so debilitating. Usually worse when you’re tired or stressed. Take care ❤
When my ex husband was a small boy, his farmer neighbour took him on his tractor. As he got older, an equipment operator friend let him practice on his backhoe. It made such a huge impression on him, he went on to become a heavy equipment operator at one of the largest open pit Lead/Zinc mines in N. America (in the Yukon where I live) and then an equipment/haulage truck trainer on other mine sites. Those tiny seeds planted in his mind sparked big dreams that came true for him, and a very successful career to this day. He never complains about going to work, he LOVES it. Something I think about as I watch your son help his Dad. 💞
So bought into what your searching for as well as other buildings that were onsite that I was looking online for cost analysis of the different machines. Interesting episodes ahead
The Cellar would be close to the Road, where deliveries of food could be taken from the transport and moved to the Cellar in the least amount of steps. Where was the old road running close to the house?
Hi Amy. If your dizziness has come about unexpectedly or without another physical issue, there is an awesome exercise online that you can do which helped my husband. I wish I could link it to you but look for neck related dizziness. It should show a person lying on their back, Their head on a pillow and how to properly turn your neck to the right and left. Good luck! Hope this helps. Love watching you, Marc and the children.
Oh my gosh, I’m going to try this thank you so much. I have vertigo right now and it’s horrible. I hate anything that spins including me. I also have low blood pressure , but because my heartbeat is so fast they put me on blood pressure medication to allow the heart to pump more efficiently. So getting up or even bending over then standing can cause me to see red and the just become dizzy. Thank you.
The picture you showed us that where you found that big square opening that you took a break off did you guys go in and investigate it to see where it led to I'm just curious I hope you find a way to the tunnels
It doesn't go anywhere significant unfortunately. It just leads to another room. We can tell by the depth of the walls. But we will be doing so much more investigation of that whole area soon!
This is better than a treasure Hunt.! 🤑 I really think your Is fortress is was bigger than it is now. You're in a very very old building. And I believe you have hidden Caves. That was under the fortress. There's a shame we have not found any old pictures or diagrams. Or anyone tell me stories of your home from many 100's years ago?
If you had epidurals for any procedures you may be having low pressure symptoms from a spinal fluid leak. A simple blood patch will fix it. Neurology treatment from Vanderbilt hospital.
Thank you! I had no idea about that. Luckily I haven't had any more episodes like that over the last year (this was a video from last summer). But it was very strange at the time and I did have epidurals!

Wouldn't it be great if you found enough gold to be able to finish all of the work you want to do? Then you could spend your time teaching all of the things....
I would take those eggs far into the forest a few miles from your property. It probably was just a turret there like the other one you have. Would you make a family pool enclosed for the family you have the space :) I am guessing you are reinstating the turret then :) as I think that is what you are finding the stones for it. You guys have such a plethora of knowledge. I really enjoyed hearing Mark explain about the ants. Fascinating.😮
I hesitated to keep that in the video but then I thought how much we all enjoyed hearing about it so others probably would do too!
How many people does take to dig a hole? Three men , three women, one boy, one dog and three chickens! Lol
At least!
