The work you have put in here is just monumental. This is up there with Trap Lore Ross's King Von video. I remember I spent 2002 downloading the Mixtapes off limewire risking my Dad's PC just to hear 50 and G-Unit.

Thank you so much for dropping the documentary! It completely destroys the narrative that if was just Em and Dre. Most people who dont understand music has this narrative. There were plenty of other people who put their blood sweat and tears into making this MASTERPIECE of an album. Thank your for highlighting that. Obsolutely incredible!!
Only one thing I can say Quake, wow... I can see why you got emotional watching this back.. The Massacre got the 'the making of' video, Curtis and Before I Self Destruct were mentioned in others but of all the albums 50 made, this was absolutely the one that deserved this type of documentary. I said it on twitter and this has just convinced me of it even more, The Massacre might have sold more than GRODT first week, but it is, was and always will be THE biggest and best album in 50's discography. The sheer impact that it had on so many people, yourself included, along with the culture itself has meant that even 20 years later it is still getting talked about and recognised like it first came out, and documentaries like this done on it. For your efforts on this Quake, thank you. I said on Twitter that like all your other content, I am not expecting you to disappoint and you most certainly did not. If Netflix were going to put anything of yours on their platform, this should be it. You have absolutely done justice to the legacy of this masterpiece of an album, and I actually hope this reaches 50's radar and he does an interview with you from it. I certainly hope he doesn't have a problem with it or anything, because this needs to stay up and reach a lot of people. Bravo my friend, bravo.
I remember being 12 years old and going to buy this CD. I got home and put it in my little crappy CD player and listened to to whole album front to back. The album was so good I sat and listened to the whole album 3 times front to back.
This was a tremendously well done documentary. I’ve been a fan of 50 since 99 since I heard Rowdy Rowdy on the radio during a DJ’s mix show, ironically I also heard JA Rule’s Holla Holla during the same mix show. From the mixtapes to now I’ve followed 50’s career very closely and his music was the soundtrack to so much of my late teens to early twenties. During the good, bad and ugly experiences of those times. Get Rich Or Die Trying was more than an album it was 50’s crowning achievement as a new artist and those of us who followed and supported know him know how much this meant and still means. So many people played so pivotal roles in that album and to see them highlighted is tremendous as well. Much love and respect to Quake for this awesome documentary and continue to keep up the good work my brother.
Congratulations Quake. Wow! What a beautiful body of work. Worthy of getting extensive coverage from the Netflix & Paramount of this world. As a creative myself who comes from South Africa, I am so inspired on how you incorporated Hip Hop at navigating the business world. Thank you bro. It's content like this that I still remain a staunch subscriber of your work. Hats off to you.

I love this documentary family! I was in middle school when this album dropped and the hype was real! Especially in NY where I grew up. You’re definitely a fif fan and did your homework. Please keep making more award winning content and viewers like me will stay dedicated and support you bro☮️🙌🏾🎉🎊

Bruh this should have millions of views. This is an amazing documentary with lots of stories that I hadn't heard before. Admittedly I'm not Fifth's biggest fan, but when that album dropped it was a moment you couldn't deny. That shit spread all way out to UK even before GRODT dropped. If you had Limewire, you know what I'm talking about. Monumental.

That album didn’t leave my CD player for 6 months. Every track had something about it that I enjoyed. Unreal album, the In Da Club video when he was on the ceiling was just so creative. With Dre. And ‘Em in the lab coats, just dope!!

I got a challenge for everyone…get GRODT up alongside watching this documentary. When the individual tracks are being spoken about, play the track being referred! You feel it on a whole other level!! Amazing documentary!! 👏🏿👏🏿
This was brilliant, such a well put together piece of documentary. What's clear is that 50 thrived off being surrounded by a group of talented, hungry, and grateful people. Sha seems like a genuinely brilliant guy who is nothing else, is just happy and fully self aware of the amazing era he was apart of. Dude just radiates positive vibes.

I was 12-13 during the Tupac and Biggie era of Hip Hop and remember how polarizing that period was, even though I was still a bit too young to FULLY understand. But I was 18 starting my 1st year of college during the 50 Cent/G-Unit era of Hip Hop and remember THIS TIME, being 1 of the best in my generation. The Jay Z and Nas era was coo too, but it’s something about this one; something about 50, that gives me chills and memories of times that will never be forgotten or replaced.
Really enjoyed this documentary it really shows how he came up and what steps he had to take to debut this album like I said on Twitter Goated documentary🔥🔥🔥
Words can't even express how dope this album was hearing at the tender age of 7 when it came out. My first exposures to hip hop was Jay-Z DMX and Busta Rhymes at the age of 2. But 50 Cent was like the first rapper i was a mega fan of, kinda similar to how my sister was to the boy bands back in day. Looking back at how long it took 50 to blow up like he did and how he perfected his craft and got better makes me appreciate artists like 50 even more and i don't think we'll ever see a buzz or a run this big ever again. You'll never see an album sustain a big buzz for a whole year again. Because I remember listening to the wholw album with my pops in the car all until the sunset 🌇 I will always remember going to a birthday party the year this album came out and they played this whole album. Maaann you just had to be there
Thank you for this documentary bro!! This is Epic. 50 Cent sparked my interest in music, I grew up listening to him, and he has always been my favorite rapper and celebrity. That's how it will be forever!!!! 💯
An exceptional piece of work you put together! and big respect for shining a light on the OG producers that don't normally get credit as they should. Hope you can continue making more like this, positive side of hiphop
I remember in 2003 when I bought GRODT.. I played it non stop in my Walkman, every day and every second I would play this album.. I was 15 at that time. I remember when I accidentally dropped my walkman and my CD broke I freaked out and walked an hour and a half to Target in my city just to buy another copy
I was literally a 12 year old white boy from a small town in Kentucky before the internet and social media was prevalent at all, MySpace wasn’t even poppin quite yet, and I was aware of 50 cent’s arrival and the complete backstory, and was greatly anticipating GRODT. That should tell you how huge this was. There has never been a single album as big as this release since it came out. When he signed with Shady/ Aftermath the buzz went nuclear. It was insane.
I aint never really took the time to actually listen to the album so fot each song they about to talk about i pause and go listen to the song and come back and each song just hits even harder i hope 50 sees this

As a 50 fan AND a Diverse Mentality fan on top of that, I just want to thank you, the effort and detail and in depth info surrounding this is amazing!!!
You are a voice for all the 50 fans around the world and I pray that 50 somehow recognises you in some way and you get to meet him, in that way as fans we’ll meet him too THROUGH you.
All flowers to you bro and much love to the DMP family, can’t wait for you to get back. All love from SA 👊🏾
yes
Dude, this documentary is at another level!!!!!!
The work put in to get the producers nad those who helped produce this album is great. Amazing work Diverse Mentality. Appreciate this!
Thank Dr. Dre too
The work you have put in here is just monumental. This is up there with Trap Lore Ross's King Von video. As for 50 I was 12 when Get Rich or Die Tryin came out and the hype was real and the album lived up to it. I remember I spent 2002 downloading the Mixtapes off limewire risking my Dad's PC just to hear 50 and G-Unit.
I was 13 in 2003
Living in New York City when “Get Rich Or Die Trying Came Out and 50 Already had a Buzz in New York in 2002 from appearing in Eminem 8-Mile Soundtrack and also the mixtapes and all street activity in the mid to late 90’s early 00’s so when this hit the streets in 2003 overnight everyone was wearing G-Unit Sneakers 👟 , T-Shirts , Hats , I remember my dad stopping at the light we was playing “In Da Club” and the car behind had Wanksta , the car in front 21 questions and the car next many man and I swear on my kids life I wouldn’t lie or cap for likes you had to be there to truly understand the impact this album I was living in the heart of New York in Manhattan Baruch Projects close to where True Life were from which was Smith Projects near China town and seaport,
I got Chills when this man said this album change his life because that’s exactly how I feel about this album I just remember walking around with my radio and big huge batteries 🔋 it needed having 50 Cent GRODT playing from beginning to end without the need to skip a song because u couldn’t Skip a single track I’m so happy I got to see this happen if u didn’t and think us old heads in our 30’s now are exaggerating
Trust we are NOT
This man ran hip hop from 2003-2007 50 was a menace
this is way better than trap lore video that shit was negative ash don’t compare them
@@ChillTurb0
Sin is negative Jesus is positive yet i know many don't want him instead they want Jesus and Satan but you can only have 1 that's how God is. I know there's many unfortunate things happening to people each with their specific situation and some situations worse than others. it's sad and I'm scared for the many because of the fire but, there's nothing i can do but live for Jesus and do good for my fellow man.
Here was the first place I saw the real story of 50 and Ja beef and all that and now you deliver this... man, this is priceless. Thank you.
Get Rich Or Die Trying, Power Of The Dollar, Guess Who's Back, Automatic Gunfire, 50 Cent Is The Future, God's Plan, G Unit Radio Volumes One Through Eight, And The Get Rich Or Die Trying Soundtrack are all Master golders.
Automatic Gunfire tape is timeless
Cap,cap,cap,cap,cap,cap!!
Well said and great comment.
I never get tired of watching another 50 doc/story.. Learned a lot from that man growing up ✊🏽
🔥 This documentary is elite level work! Congratulations on premiering this work to the public.
I’m a huge 50 cent fan and this doc is amazing! You really captured my exact feelings! 50 cent is the greatest.
I remember being 12 years old and going to buy this CD. I got home and put it in my little crappy CD player and listened to to whole album front to back. The album was so good I sat and listened to the whole album 3 times front to back.
Yea thank Dr,Dre!!!!!
Rowdy Rowdy was 🔥🔥🔥 That was the first Fifty song I heard. Most people know Fifty from Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
Your love for hip hop really shows with everything you put out
You went above AND BEYOND for this one quake. I was not expecting this much work with interviews and all. Props once again bro.
This definitely deserves to be the 1st of many documentaries of classic albums. U did ya MF thing cuzzo!!! S/O to u. Good work!
I had to share this on Twitter...
This doc deserves waaayyy more views...
This was PERFECTION, sir...
💯
This documentary was wicked! And the people behind the whole process of making this classic album seem all so humble! I don’t care what anybody says GRODT is one of the greatest rap albums of all time if not the greatest! 🔥🔥🔥
Outstanding effort. Excellently put together. This must taken months to put complete. Keep up the great content and greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
I love this documentary family! I was in middle school when this album dropped and the hype was real! Especially in NY where I grew up. You’re definitely a fif fan and did your homework. As a documentary this is super official to the point it’s better than those Netflix ones. Please keep making more award winning content and viewers like me will stay dedicated and support you bro☮️🙌🏾🎉🎊
My respects to those who worked so hard on making this album this album was a classic
Dr.Dre
Bro that’s a 10000/10 documentary!!!! 50 and G-Unit changed our lives literally for ever !
Maybe sometime you can make something similar for the other G-Unit members or for G-Unit as crew 💯
Well worth the wait diverse mentality never disappoints this is best get rich or die tryin documentary ever made
Bruh this should have millions of views. Monumental.
Quake this is a movie bro. Must have been both fun and a lot of hard work to put together. Brilliant documentary...respect to you and your team for delivering a classic
That album didn’t leave my CD player for 6 months. Every track had something about it that I enjoyed. Unreal album, the In Da Club video when he was on the ceiling was just so creative. With Dre. And ‘Em in the lab coats, just dope!!
Congratulations on completing this! The effort that was put into this 🔥🔥
This doc is fire! Honestly it's inspiring how you keep producing quality content. Looking forward to see more.
Glad to hear Banks get the recognition for writing In Da Club hook. Amazing documentary
Didn't write it. 50 took it
@@royaltypoetry1533😂😂
When this album did 870k that first week and then did ANOTHER 800k that second week- MAN! That shit was crazy. And the album had everything u needed. They all knocked it out of the park.
Thank you for covering from beginning to the end of one of my top 5 Albums of all time for me. Came out when i was in the 4th grade. Know i was too young to listen, but still didn't care thanks to my uncle buy the album bump it in his car driving around and was amazed from the jump. Specially the Songs If I Can't, Many Man, 21 Questions, Patiently Waiting, Don't Push Me repeat all day. No skip songs on this album. And thank for everyone who contributed this once in lifetime Classic. And specially Thank You 50 Cent. Specially for get through hard times, motivations, gym workouts as well. overcome adversity to now successful overcome the odds. Once again Thank You.
I got a challenge for everyone…get GRODT up alongside watching this documentary.
When the individual tracks are being spoken about, play the track being referred!
You feel it on a whole other level!!
Amazing documentary!! 👏🏿👏🏿
Love your dedication, Happy 20th Anniversary of “Get Rich or Die Tryin” Masterpiece
We as fans need the official GRODT instrumentals. I've been waiting since 2003 for this to drop.
This is big!
Congratulations on being able to put this together.
Get Rich or Die Tryin' is easily one of the greatest albums ever created.
Cant wait to see 50 again in concert this year! 🔥
This is probably your best documentary yet! A lot of heart went into it and it shows 🙏50 is such an interesting artist
46:39 man props to you!! I still remember where I was when THIS DROPPED!!! I was driving there Austin TEXAS on 6th street and ON GAWD!!! EVERY CAR was playing the album. On the freeway. JAMMED PACKED! And everyone was outside yelling and singing. I NEVER seen anything like it! I’m a OLD head lol. Born in ‘79, so I REALLY WAS IN MY MATURATIONAL stage! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK ON THIS 🙌🏾💪🏾✊🏾
Thanks alot for the documentary & hard work behind it putting this together🙌🏿
It brought back alot memories as a kid.
He most def influenced me growing up in Africa just like those kids in brazil i was wearing clothes just like him...hat,walk,talk,laugh & all🔥
I was 12-13 during the Tupac and Biggie era of Hip Hop and remember how polarizing that period was, even though I was still a bit too young to FULLY understand.
This documentary was definitely worth the wait! Loved it!💯
Refreshing to see and hear stories being told by the unheard. Great job Quake!! 🔥🔥🔥
This was a GREAT DOCUMENTARY
Get rich, or Die tryin is the best hip hop Album ever dropped since 2003. Nobody does it better than 50
College dropout and the documentary is also right up there
@@Andy-bf8oshell no.
POP SMOKE will replace 50
Knowing the way 50 is i bet he gonna give you some interview or send Yayo for this channel to give yall some love.... mad respect to yall
!!!!
Maaann you just had to be there
Great documentary man ive been patiently waiting for this. Job well done
This documentary is soooo incredible thank you so much for all the work and energy you put into this 🙏🏾
I remember in 2003 when I bought GRODT..
50 Cent and G Unit mixtapes were better than most artists studio album.
this is sooo good dude! I love that you got perspectives from the relatively “unknown” parties who were involved. All time great work!
5 Star Documentary. Well done, man. 💯🔥
I aint never really took the time to actually listen to the album so fot each song they about to talk about i pause and go listen to the song and come back and each song just hits even harder i hope 50 sees this
I saw this coming from a mile away; I want to say that I am proud that you done an documentary like this, I hope to see more, first video I saw was the Ja Rule Beef, subbed ever since, and have a great day 🤗😇🥰😇🤗
50 is a legend in the streets and in the rap game. I still bump Get Rich Or Die Tryin, shits a classic. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was so amazing to watch! Y’all put in a lot of hard work and dedication towards this video and we can see it!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I loved this doc and love how you connected with everyone who worked on this classic album. I appreciate the drive and passion you put in to make this great doc. Thank you 🔥🔥🔥💯 #getrichordietrying20 🎉🎉🎉

I grew up on this album and this documentary is PERFECT….Shoutout Quake for the Diverse Mentality channel.
SHADY/AFTERMATH ‘03 til infinity!💿💿💿
For an unofficial doc, this is amazing. This is quality work. Very informative. Big up 50.
Been watching you from the start of ur career, i noticed ur respect of 50 but i never knew this. 2003 was a magical time and that G-Unit run from 2001-2007 was LEGENDARY! Going to subscribe to your patron, DOPE documentary. Hope Curtis sees this shit 👊🏾
You’ve out done yourself with this one! As a huge 50 fan and someone who’s life also was impacted, I appreciate you bringing this to life
Brilliant Documentary! The internet needed this .
50 was and still is the greatest villain in the history of hip-hop.
Not a villain, he’s a mentor to alota young people willing to listen n looking for that path. Wether he knows it or not.
No suge knight is the biggest villain in the history of hip hop.
This documentation was executed perfectly. A pleasure to watch.
This documentary is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 AF, I shared it with my people & on social media! 💯💯💯💯💯
Bro, been with you from the jump. Congrats and as always you crushed it!! Love this man, keep killing it.
I will never forget the feeling of hearing In Da Club for the 1st time on tv, i was like what is this sound?? Then 50 appeared hanging in the gym with go go go it was over... 50 looked like a terminator, i didn't blink once watching the video it was too dope, everything was perfect, once in a lifetime music experience
Great doc my friend. Keep doing it. Share your appreciation for 50. This doc is timeless

Amazing work on this Documentary. I’m grateful to have been DJing professionally during the time this record came out. Til this day I haven’t felt a crowd response like I did whenever I would play ‘In Da Club.’ I’d have to rewind it every single time. What a special time!
This was a great Documentary on one of the Greatest Rap Albums of All-time "Get Rich Or Die Trying"
i was evolutionized when i just now found this channel here, this channel here diverse mentality makes you deeply think, in a way that solidifies your truth inside of the riches of cultural entities first and then entertainment today as a whole, love it, getting my membership Today

Great documentary I appreciate the time and effort putting faces to the geniuses behind the beats and production get rich or die trying inspired a whole generation to go after you dreams and aspirations
Just watched this. Amazing insight. You've smashed it lad. Please do more of these deep dives into these classic albums. One of the most enjoyable and nostalgic docs I've watched.
It got touched on in this doc, but I think a Dipset doc would be great material.
Awesome documentary man you definitely put a lot of effort into this and it shows! Always been a fan of 50 since I was a kid. Always had mad respect for him, as a rapper and as a businessman.
