While some may not conceive a practical use for this stroke, like other combination strokes, it builds paddle dexterity with the feathering and transitions. A common occurrence is a paddle blade colliding with the boat due to an incorrect blade angle to the flow or current. As a beginner, I have an ever-growing appreciation for the value of stroke practice. I don’t see many classes or emphasis on these strokes, so thanks to EJ for doing that here.
