2014 Kia Forte Engine build part 2 & conclusion with first start..

I have a kia cerato 2009 it did over heating, after surfacing the cylinder head it started burning oil. My mechanic think it's best I get a new engine. Please what can I do as the engine runs fine but burns 1 litre under 300km.
