For v60+ you can only use left railing!! IMPORTANT! For Jester you don't actually need someone at the door, just another player in the complex like with coils! Once the coil/jester is stuck it will be there permanently! Even if all players leave facility!

We saw bracken get stuck there on accident, same with coil once. 2 members of our group spent like 12 hours testing in one of the challenge moons because trapping the coil could be a huge time save. They theorized the snapping happened when the enemy switched aggro. Enemies snap to the closest available surface when switching aggro. If they cant navigate on that surface, they’re trapped
For a while, jester seemed impossible, until the 3 credited in the video realized that because jumping temporarily switches jester aggro, this is possible^

The coil head needs a target to change aggro to lock on to. But if no one is in facility is has no one else to look for (it’s just something weird with its AI)
I think it's so it goes into its patrolling state rather than freezing or still trying to focus the same player. AI magic is probably the reason, so yes.
@@Renteks- I would guess that when the player slides up against the railing or jumps, they are temporarily off the navmesh, which means the coil can’t pathfinder to them/considers them to be extremely far away, so it agros any other player instead if it can
Hey, you know how enemies can only track grounded players? It turns out (for coilheads at least) that you dont need another player in the facility to trap enemies. Just jump next to the banister and the enemy will lose aggro and snap to the banister!
Something similar that i've had happen with coil-head is on the facility interior, specifically the big long room with the conveyor-belt that you can walk across. I brought a coil-head to the end of it and then dropped down and it seemed to be confused on how to get to me

I tried this with my teammate on imperium. For us only host can trap. Non-host simply doesn't work. Also shimmying against the knob doesn't work for us, but jumping while at the knob works.
If the jester accumulates speed over time to infinity, does this mean if I were to wait a few minutes would it reach a bunch of speed to break free of being stuck and most likely instantly kill you? or does it not gain speed because its standing still? (since in some games when entities go way too fast they can noclip through walls due to the speed)
I think it could hypothetically gain infinite speed, but it would happen without mods or smth because eventually the player can’t jump fast enough to keep up. There also might be a limit in place so it can’t reach ludicrously unfair speeds

I love glitches, and if you're trying to beat the game vanilla for a world record then I totally understand this strategy. Buuut at the same time this game has no other intended ways to permanently deal with these enemies, so a more realistic alternative for casual players is just to install a mod that makes the game something that you enjoy playing without needing to cheese things. 😂
Do they get unstuck once you or the others leave the facility? Since you kept repeating that there needs to be another player inside. If so, this doesn't sound worth it in 90% of cases.
Literally mentioned in the video but the player only needs to be inside for the coil to snap onto railing. After that it is stuck no matter what. There doesn’t have to be people in facility after it is stuck.

I find coil-head too broken. It makes me so frustrated that only because of this single mob spawning three times in a row, makes me consider seriously quitting this game
@@call_me_bread i just really wanna see a good crew break the game utilizing as many glitches as possible (besides maybe speed hacks) to get an insane quota before they are patched… you can also combine out of bounds glitches with the jetpack to fly to any room in the facility
If someone found for example: A method of loading maps that caused no enemies to spawn at all. Would that be a mechanic with which to fight the enemies? What if someone found a way to make every outside enemy fall off the map. The entire outside would be completely empty and safe every single day. Would you want to play that game? This "tech" is no different, it isn't real gameplay. It's essentially the same as installing a mod to remove jesters and coil heads.

Coil is super fast and easy. Depends on jetser cause it’s much more risky
