We have finally arrived at the Amalfi Coast! This has been on the bucket list for quite some time now, and it's finally happening! Today we'll give you our first impressions of the Amalfi Coast, and take you with us as we explore the mountain roads by scooter, and the beautiful coastline by boat! It wasn't exactly easy getting here. We left Monopoli on Italy's east coast, drove 3 hours west to Salerno, hopped on a Ferry to Amalfi, then caught a bus to Conca dei Marini where we are staying! We decided we wanted some freedom so we rented a scooter from Salvatore down at Amalfi Rent-A-Scooter and set off on the most epic roads we've ever ridden! Our boat captain Vincenzo was incredible and showed us all the hot spots along the coast, including the infamous Positano. We still can't believe we're here!

YOU GUYS NEED TO GO TO ISCHIA!!!!! It’s an island that is extremely close to Amalfi that was recently just voted as the most famous island in the world. Please if you go there you need to go to Maronti Beach. It’s heaven on earth!!!! Also, if you have time go to the Blue Grotto on Capri. It’s an amazing experience and the water in the grotto is more blue than the sky

While in Positano you need to meet Nicki from Nicki Positano a RUclips channel, Nikki and Carlo live half way up one of the mountains in Positano. She is from England and Carlo is from Positano. Nikki’s best friend Elisabeth runs Blue Star Cruise down at the beach in Positano and she could help you reach Nicki. Make sure you go over to Capri and see the Blue Grotto there.

Not for sure if you have seen The Positano Diaries, but Nikki lives there and has her own youtube channel on Positano and shows a lot of the back scenes of it.
A manual is fun for town trips, distance, passing, stop and go traffic not so much.

Was there in September 2018. Took the ferry also and without a doubt the best way to arrive. We were lucky to have stayed right on the beach in Positano next to Bacca. My favorite place I’ve ever been. Enjoy!
Amazing adventures that you guys are having - it inspires me to make it to these locations someday!! Dan you are doing great with the manual transmission - just a hint when you have a car that isn't as powerful going uphill - you need to downshift to maintain your speed!! I hope this helps!! 🤗❤️

If you like Positano, you should watch the Positano Diaries on You Tube. You will love it.
If I could visit any country in the world it would be Italy for many reasons but the food might be number one. Most of my family comes from Sicily

That's the good thing about driving a manual transmission. You can drop it down and climb darn near anything in 2nd gear. Even better when you need to slow the engine without using the breaks.

We'll be in Polignano a Mare in August, we'll be staying at Hotel Grotta Palazzese for the week, but we're also staying in Hotel Maricanto Positano for one night. So we're driving across from Polignano a Mare (Puglia) to Positano (Amalfi Coast). I see you guys stopped at Salerno and took a Ferry to Positano then a bus. Can I drive straight to Positano (Amalfi Coast) with the rental car? Or do we have to stop at Salerno and take the ferry to Positano (Amalfi Coast) then a bus to our hotel? Thanks...keep the videos coming!!!

That’s when we were there and it was amazing! Still some crowds for sure but probably far less we’re thinking.

How’d did you find all these private little boat tours? Did you just google it when you know where you’re staying?
You should have meetup with Nicki there in Positano. Your probably gone from there by now. But she has a You Tube channel and lives there in Positano. Way, way up the mountain. 500 steps I think she says. One way! Her channels name is Nicki Positano. Her husband is Italian and she is British. Check her out!!
