seeing a bunch of respected veterans trying to get their first ring and finally getting it is great
It was the greatest Championship I remember. The history with Dirk and The Jet and then the other veterans Kidd and The Matrix, it was really cool to see. They were big time underdogs but they went out and took it.
Couldn't agree more! All these guys deserved it soooo much! It was one of my favorite championships due to that fact!

As a die hard Lakers fan...I was glad to see Dirk get his ring. The man deserves it, one of the greatest to ever play the game. Dallas had a crazy amazing run, and it was so sweet to see them get revenge on the Heat from 2006.

Seeing Shawn Marion's Mom @ 4:50 "we did it!" I lost it. Seeing your kid go through their entire youth into Man-hood and climbing that mountain to become the Champ has to be an unbelievable feeling to see first-hand. Dallas Mavericks 2011 really showed what the definition of "TEAM" is. No hype, no "Big 3" B.S., just a Team with a lot of heart.

People forget his mom went 6-8 from the field with 7 rebounds
That championship was outstanding because each player fought for the next one. Teamwork, humbleness, focus and hard work makes this team a worthy champ and an example to follow. I am afraid there will never be a team so passionate than the Dallas Mavericks 2011.

As a blazer fan, which the mavs played against portland in round 1, I was glad Dallas won it all. I was rooting for them since they played against the Lakers.
The worst year for lebron... he was hated because he left the cavs, he was dethroned by drose as league mvp, he and the heat have so much expectations because of the big 3. but still got beaten by the mavs.. and they got eliminated in their homefloor...

It’s May 10th 2020 and I’m still watching highlights from this finals matchup. It has to be one of the greatest nba finals I have ever seen.
October of 2022 I still visit this video from time to time. Loved this run by the Mavs and I'm not even a Mavs fan at all, just love seeing a team of veterans like Dirk and Kidd finally earn the pinnacle after years of frustration. By far my favorite NBA championship

Watching again after Dirk‘s jersey retirement. I‘m a Mavs fan since 2000 and am so happy for Dirk to win it all during his storied career. That was long 11 years of waiting and seeing Kobe and Duncan winning the chip.
As a kids watching the 2000s NBA it was really satisfying watching your childhood heroes getting that chip... Dirk, Kidd, Peja, Marion all got their 1 ring

as a basketball and especially nba fan from germany...this was the best basketball moment of my life ! i spent the night at my girlfriends but stayed up all night (time zones, you know) and streamed the game...when bron started red hot, when the mavs lost a 12 point advantage and built up again...incredible ! could not sleep that night ! it took dirk all those years and against the strongest team out there, he and his veterans get it done in style...i could rewatch this every day !!

I remember as a kid going to Mavs games in Reunion arena. Those were the days when they win barely 20 games in season. To see my boys in 2011 win that title was soooooo sweet!!
Ya'll forgetting Erick Dampier spent 6 years in Dallas Mavericks just to watch his former team defeat his team in Miami. Still sad everytime I remember this series.

just looking at this feel so passionate after all the hard times they gone through they got beaten a few times in the semi finals and lost in 2006 finals now its finally good to see a happy ending for the mavericks but i do miss barea and chandler in the team they done so much to win this championship
I’ll never forget them landing at Love Field, seeing all the gathered fans, and going out of there way to walk over to the fans and celebrate. It was a moment I’ll never forget for the rest of my life. MFFL
I would have liked the Dallas Mavericks more if it weren't for Mark "Loudmouth" Cuban. That being said I was happy for Dirk for finally winning a title that year.

Felt really happy for Dirk when I saw this. Changed his legacy completely by taking him out of the Barkley/Malone/Nash category of greats who never won it all. And no one could accuse him of taking the easy way to a title either.
Also felt happy for Kidd. Was past his prime at this point, but can say he was an important contributor to a championship team.
Im not a big Mavs fan but this was one hell of a playoff run. Dirk really became a true legendary player. They were always a very good regular season team that could never get over the hump. Boy did they ever shock the world! Im happy to have experienced watching them soar and for Dirk,kidd and Cuban to finally get that elusive ring.
