2011 NBA Finals Miami Heat V Dallas Mavericks Game 4

  • Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
  • Game 4 would be a tightly fought match with no team ever really looking like going on with their lead. For Miami it was all Wade (32 points ) & Bosh (24 points) doing the bulk of the offensive while Dallas got a more even spread with Dirk Nowitzki (21 points) leading the way and Jason Terry providing 17 points off of the bench. Lebron James final series would hit its lowest point as he was largely unsighted shooting 27% and 8 points and a equal team high 4 turnovers.

My favorite sports conspiracy theory is that LeBron took a dive in this game knowing that if the Heat won, Wade was going to win Finals MVP. People forget that at the time Wade was considered to be in the same class as LeBron, and no one thought the second half of his career would be ruined by injuries. Wade being considered the best player on the Heat, and therefore the best player in the league, would have arguably damaged LeBron’s case for passing Jordan more than them losing the series.

He didn't actually get outplayed by Terry though. They both averaged 18 ppg and LeBron does a lot more than scoring, while Terry is basically only scoring. LeBron did get soundly outplayed by the duo of Kidd and Marion. Terry erases what the Heat got from Bosh. Dirk erases Wade's scoring. Then it's a big advantage to Dallas with the remaining rosters.

He is right though. If the Cavs weren't injured they would had won the entire thing for sure. I don't get what Kobe did that makes him below LeBron. His clutch record is shite, he shoots like 40 shots per game and isn't even 500. Kobe was part of that early 2000 laker dynasty but he didn't carry it. Shaq did. DWade almost finished his career with 4 rings and 2 finals MVPs despite chronic Penny Hardaway and Tracy McGrady type of injuries. Put that into perspective. He almost delivered a Kobeesque championship resume with BAD KNEES. If LeBron scores 13 instead of 8 this game, they win this series in 6 and Wade’s finals MVP. If Wade could have had 4 rings and two finals MVPs WITH injuries, imagine what he could have had WITHOUT injuries. Those Shaq years. That would have been two rings instead of one. And the LeBron years, 4 instead of 2. He’d probably have 6 rings with 3 or 4 finals MVPs. And I’m not hyping. DWade was that good for it when it mattered most. He’d be second to Jordan not including centers (since they’re hard to rank). I think if people just think about this, they’d admit that he’s the closest in terms of overall ability to Jordan.

Ahmad2423 it's obvious bro, Lebron never attacked the defense, kept passing the ball, not playing defense at all, unforced turnovers. Miami had the most talented team in the league and were by far better than the Mavericks.
Lebron had torched the best defense in the world (bulls) in the conference finals and somehow doesn't attack the Mavericks defense. It was completely rigged. All of the fouls the Mavericks got.
Mark Cuban: "if people found out what happens in NBA boardrooms then fans would never look at NBA games the same. Before the 2011 finals I learned to play it the right way."

Well it was rigged, And the way Jordan dominated well that was rigged as well...It's all Bullshit IMO!

To me? This game is highlighted to claim LeBron failed his team. But he didnt affect the game scoring wise. He did affect it facilitating and assisting. Wade misses a crucial free throw how we trashed Paul George Ben Simmons for this year that lead to Dirk drive. The end was also fumbled by Miami with that play set for Wade who turns it over. They blame LeBron for that. It's ridiculous. Then the low class insult to Dirk by both after the game in the presser. If the Heat win this game they're up 3-1 and likely finish as champs back on their home floor. Mavs stayed in the moment to the final horn. Same thing I believe ruined the Spurs of '13 not blocking out that crucial final possession that gave Allen the chance to hit from the corner when they were brining out celebratory things like it was over. I'll never forget those two games as long as I live.

Passing the ball while posting up J. Kidd?? 2012-17 LeBron would have a FIELD DAY with that. He looked so tentative to put up a shot. Sometimes I wonder if when he retires he can have a full conversation with someone about whether he was even there mentally. It really is inexcusable considering that that was CB and Wade's healthiest and probably best year out of the four. Had Lebron averaged even 24 pts we would be having an easier time to make his case as one of the greatest to play the game.

It wasn’t mental; he had a bad mat up vs Shawn Marion and an efficient offense that didn’t give easy transition opportunities. That’s it. +nomooon they were up 2-1 than Lebron stops playing and they still only lose by 3 in game 4. Than he continues to play average and they still barely lose the series. I cant explain it but i think he threw the series

If Lebron doesn't stop playing they win. He had to have an 8 point game and they still only lost by 3. This shit was rigged for Dallas. Lebron was in on it, just like how it was scripted in game 5 2014 were Lebron didnt play against Indiana and he only had 8 points again.
But It would've hurt Lebrons legacy more if heat won and Wade won FMVP.

him and shaq were the stars not everybody else they were and tell me this how does a two time mvp not play defense not drive like he did in the Celtics and Philly series and pass up shots that he usually takes? cuz it was rigged if he drove it to the basket played defense and played bad that's choking not trying at all is not choking David stern told him to play like that because see how people still talk about it till this day even though he won three championships it brought ratings and made the league more money him "choking" was the biggest news that whole year it was everywhere look at the video again and tell me he was trying everybody expected them to win that's why everybody hated them so that would make them lose ratings because people already know who's gonna win but them losing was a better story than them winning see my point?

11:41 Lebron has the ball down 2 with 23 seconds left on the shot clock. Why are you passing to Wade in that situation? You can hold onto the ball and look for a good shot but you pass it all the way down court to wade who had 2 defenders close to him. Just doesn’t make sense.

DannyLlerenaTV cmon enough what? Teddy Atlas said it best. A true winner is determined by how he responds to adversity. LeBron going into 2011 didn’t know how to approach playing with D Wade & Chris Bosh. They’ve said this a million times, LeBron was being passive yes NOT because he didn’t want to shoot but because he FINALLY got his dream teammates & he didn’t know whether to take the game over or to be less aggressive because he now has help. Prior to 2011 NOBODY can ever say LeBron went out passive! WHY?! Because he knew he HAD to shoot a ton in order for those 2000s Cavs teams to even have a chance to win. This isn’t a KD situation where he all he had to do is Plug himself into a championship well oiled machine, no LeBron & the Heat had to figure it out in 1 season. Fair enough he STILL lost ok, he was PASSIVE ok, but what happened the next 3 years when Dwayne Wade literally came out & said that he told LeBron this is his team. Back 2 Back rings & a finals lost to the BEST spurs TEAM in their entire history, not the most talented but the BEST team!
Back to Teddy Atlas, he said a competitor is determined by the adversity he faced & how he responds. He LITERALLY coached Mike Tyson & says Mike Tyson should never be considered the GOAT in boxing. WHY? Because he dominated EVERYONE he came in contact with until he had to face REAL monsters like George Foreman & Holyfield. Now remember it’s not necessarily about the greatness of your opponent but more so how DIFFICULT they make it on you to win.
Sit here & show me ANYONE who has faced more stiff competition in the finals than LeBron? Nobody is even close. Show me someone who has had to deal with MULTIPLE injuries from his best teammates in the ENTIRE finals? Only a few players can relate.
Let’s not even get started with LeBrons numbers because you know for a fact there is no competition

AnkleTaker 2 I absolutely hate the warriors but here it goes.
1.MJ’s peak numbers and stats are above lebron’s.
      2. What player has lebron faced that’s as good as magic Johnson who in my opinion is #3 all time and was the runner up for mvp that season?
      3. What player has lebron faced that’s as good as a prime Larry bird who is arguably 5th all time and could’ve very well been the goat?
4.Did you know that the late 90s Jazz used to trample shaq, kobe, Tim Duncan and those guys?
      5. Did you know the bulls were considered the underdogs in the 98 finals and Jordan practically won that series alone because Rodman was useless against the mailman and Pippen went down?
      6. What meltdowns has Jordan had that were anything close to lebrons 2010, 2011 and 2018 meltdowns?
Jordan’s failures happened again as a young buck, lebron’s failures have happened in his prime and peak. I agree that it’s not just about the rings but you have to look at every scenario possible. I’m a lebron fan but point close he’s just not the goat, he has too many stains on his legacy... teammates and competition are not an excuse, and rings are NOT just a team accomplishment, this is basketball not football, 1 player can make THAT much of a difference just look at Kawhi, dirk, Hakeem and wade. I don’t knock him for losing to the warriors but at least have some integrity in game one of 2018. Yeah JR did something stupid and you have 50 points, but at least finish what you started, go down with honor and don’t quit on your team in overtime and then put a scarf on your hand after game 4 and claim you broke your hand...

DannyLlerenaTV m sorry bro but I stopped reading after I saw Larry Bird could’ve been the GOAT & when you said LeBron melted down in 2018 lmao like what basketball have you been watching? LeBrons teams have been the underdog 7 out of the 9 times they went to the finals & you wanna bring up the ONE time MJ was the underdog (which I have to fact check because there is NO WAY MJ stans would’ve had him as an underdog in ANY series). By the way I understand you can have an arguement as to magic being top 5 but bro don’t act like LeBron didn’t face Tim Duncan best PF of all time, Steph Curry top 2 PG of all time idc what anyone has to say. KD who in my opinion is a FAR better talent than Magic & Larry Bird & Dirk a top 25 player of all time.
That’s not even mentioning players like Kawhi, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Draymknd Green, Kalyan’s Thompson. Which the first 3 are in pace to becoming top 20 players of all time or HIGHER (Depending on the amount of rings they get) by the time they retire.
The competition isn’t close bro I don’t even know why it’s a conversation. Not to mention all the bums LeBron had as starters for THREEEEEE of his 9 finals & tell me if I’m wrong about that.
2007 TEam won 60+ games because LeBron was shouldering the offense & was at his Athletic PRIME
2015 he had Delly, Mozgov & JR as his 3 best players because of all the injuries
2018 his best teammates were Kevin Love, Jeff Green & Tristan Thompson
