    I couldn't help but get a little choked up seeing all those vets get rings. The five Mavs on the floor in the final minutes were Dirk, Kidd, Chandler, Terry, and Marion. Plus Peja on the bench. Six guys who came so close so often finally reaching the basketball promised land. It doesn't get any better than that.

      Haven’t they realized that recent champs are determined by greater system instead of roster, and 3pts... this mavs is always a threat even they got a deficit of 15 because they guys who can shoot 3s, spurs shoot 3s, gsw shoot 3s, kyrie and co shoot 3s.

    Dirk was one of the few superstars that stayed with his former team, went several years without a ring, remained patient and finally won one against a heavily favored opponent in this Miami Heat team, the same franchise that denied him in 2006. That's what made this series win such a great story. Dirk stayed loyal to his team and it paid off.

    One of the happiest nights of my life. It's really disappointing that from the time the buzzer sounded they immediately talked about it being a loss for the Heat and all their incompetence in the series rather than talking about all the Mavs, Dirk, and what every other veteran on the roster had been through up until that point in their careers. How they shocked everyone throughout that whole playoff run starting with SWEEPING the Lakers, who were still an elite squad at that point. Whatever, it was still one of the happiest memories of my short life. Go Mavs

I didn't even realize that they actually swept by the Mavs. How embarrassing that was. Confidence was backed up when Howard and Nash joined the team but all was left was bitter disappointment. • @bruhbroman5592
      @bruhbroman5592 9 лет назад +2

      Patrick Sarmiento He didn't have a bad game, he just didn't do much throughout the series. It's not like he goes "missing" often. He'll give up from time to time, like in 2010 against Boston and in 2014 against the Spurs, but he more or less decides to stop trying. Like Mark Jackson said, in reference to great players, "Just like death and taxes, they're gonna get you." LeBron played poorly in 2011 but dominated in 2012 and 2013. He played well both this year and last year in the finals despite his team getting rooked.

    • @arsonhakobyan
      @arsonhakobyan 9 лет назад +17

      +Collin Workman Michael Jordan never had a finals series anywhere near as bad as Lebron James' 2011.

    • @bruhbroman5592
      @bruhbroman5592 9 лет назад +2

      Arsen Akopyan Who cares? LeBron James won't ever be as good as Jordan. If you compare everyone to Jordan, then everybody sucks. Magic and Kobe have both had bad finals'. LeBron isn't like Jordan, so you shouldn't compare them. LeBron is like Magic and Bird, a great passer, rebounder but he plays much better defense then either of them and he is a better scorer then either of them.

    • @arsonhakobyan
      @arsonhakobyan 9 лет назад +4

      Collin Workman Better scorer than both of them? I'll give you Magic, but not Bird. Neither Magic nor Kobe had a Finals nearly as bad as Lebron James' 2011. I don't count Magic's 89 Finals against the Pistons, cause he ruptured his hamstring in Game 2 & was done. Lebron was healthy and at his peak physical prime in 2011 against the Mavericks when he didn't just fail to score, but didn't show up in any capacity.
      When Kobe had the 6-24 Game 7 against the Celtics, he still found other ways to help his team by getting 15 rebounds. Someone w/ the overall size of a Karl Malone w/ the athletic explosiveness of a defensive back in football should at least be able to average better than his regular season stat of 8rpg (rebounds per game) when not scoring but playing w/ a 6'9 center in Joel Anthony who had to go up against 7'1 Tyson Chandler. At least help your undersized frontline on the boards by averaging double figure rebounds per game, but Lebron averaged just 7 in that series where his team was getting killed on the glass. I don't blame him for his other 3 Finals losses, but I can't think of any great player that ever had a Finals series as bad as Lebron's 2011 while healthy & in their prime.
      He brought the Michael Jordan comparison on himself by choosing to wear #23 coming out of college, calling himself the chosen one, proclaiming himself the King & so on.

    • @bruhbroman5592
      @bruhbroman5592 9 лет назад +1

      LeBron fell apart, yes. It's a huge black mark on his legacy. Also, yes he's a better scorer than Bird. Bird was a better shooter. Just look at their numbers. LeBron averages more assists and points. LeBron thrives in a team game with dominant all around play, Kobe and Jordan dominated one on one. I don't really compare LeBron's style of play to theirs.

      We all know about 2011
      2014 he got locked down by then role player Kawhi Leonard. 51 of the 81 points LeBron scored during games 3-5 came when his team was down 15+.

      I dont know about the 2006 being an upset because then again the Heat had Shaq and Wade and more talent than the Mavs had. in 2011 the Heat had Bosh LeBron Wade and Haslem and Cole and Chalmers and the Mavs only had Dirk Kidd and Terry and Marion. The MAvericks were an aging group while the Heat was a younger talent of all stars you have to remember.

    • @allthatjeff
      @allthatjeff 9 лет назад +5

      Dante Scott Suguitan The Heat weren't favored at all to win. Every expert had Dallas winning and after Game 2 Dallas was planning their parade route. The Heat also didn't gave homecourt and Dallas had 60+ Wins and beat the defending champs.
      I think people value talent more than they do solid role players. Dallas was deeper than Miami at the Point, back up SG, SF, PF. They were all around deeper than Miami.
      Cole wasn't on Miami in 2011.
      I hate Lebron for his pathetic choke in this Finals.

    I don't think the significance of that Mahinmi shot can be overstated. That planted a seed of doubt in the Heat that carried over into the forth quarter.

      lebron gave up ...it was so different from the 4th of game 6 in 2013 ..in that series he played so weird but in games 6-7 he came alive

    Give Dirk credit he won his championship 🏆 the loyal way instead of taking the easy road and joining a bunch of superstars to win a ring

    Dirk's 2011 Playoff run>>lebron 8 finals
    Really think about it. Dirk had jason terry and some washed up old vets. He went through Roy and Aldridge, Kobe & Gasol's 2 time defending champs Lakers, 3 future MVPs KD Westbrook Harden, then the most notorious big 3 of all time.
    What are the best teams lebron beat in the east? Raptors led by demar derozan (😂😂😂), Pacers led by ROY HIBBERT and Playoff P, Al horford's Hawks, Celtics led by 5'5 Isiah thomas. These were all 1 seeds in the eastern conference AND made the conference finals, showing how trash the east was
    This is why Dirk>>LeHelp forever
