He could if he connected with a big shot. He was an excellent closer. His style looks a bit unorthodox but he was deceptively quick with his hands & his kicks were effective enough that one could not dismiss them. I remember him from Cal Poly. Same Mohawk minus the tats.

I always said prime Chuck is one of very few fighter that can beat Jones style wise, look how Machida was countering Jones in the standup until Jones caught him in a choke. For Fedor, Chuck would've also knock him out with one clean punch, Fedor's standup was average at best, his grappling and ground skills were his main strengths, and Fedor would've to get a hold of Chuck and take him down without getting caught by Chuck's counter punches.
