I worked in Marketing at CBS/Fox Video and was responsible for the Coffin shaped box for Fright Night 2. But we weren’t the first - another company released a coffin shaped box for one of their releases ( can’t recall what title) so we just copied the idea. Harder to find these days without faded print for the title on the front. We used flouro ink which fades over time in daylight. Also - Alligator is a fun flick - although very dated. An official game was released at the time by Ideal Toys which was similar in concept to the JAWS game they released a few years earlier.
Hey the other coffin is Mortuary Academy, it's way more rarer, ive only seen 2 copies. I have both copies. I've seen Fright Night 2 perfect condition go for $800. $300 is bang on now though.
I spent nearly 4 decades playing in arcade come video stores and still have many memories of certain dust jackets on certain vhs tapes, Fright night with the face above the house, Goulies toilet seat, Rolling Thunder, Cherry 2000, Annialators, the Fly, Ripper with leather mask cover? American Sunshine not on vhs but from memory as a boy, Cobra, wwf and many more, cheers for the contribution 👑🇳🇿👉🍺
Love The Ferals! I've got a copy I've been meaning to sell myself. About the one you showed, looks like that seller currently still has it listed, and if you look at history it was sold twice within a few days of each other. What's going on there?
Hey Matt that wiggles video was my listing haha i paid $2 a piece for about 15 wiggles VHS (Normally i won't Pay that for a vhs) i also just sold captain feathersword for $45
I've personally never done grading's of VHS before so I'm not too sure here. Hopefully someone in the comments can jump in and help out here :) thanks for watching!
@TheAussieFlipper hahaha not any more mate just a few odd 80s horror movies, I almost died when the no1 on your top vhs list was that video, I had a stuffed dust jacket on it tho and threw it out ffs, kept the vid and original case luckily. I do however have a 20ft container of streetwear, Rugby/Leauge sports gear which fetches massive prices here atmo (any provincial team jersey from the 80s up in good nick $250-1400 Deadstock tagged mint $650-$2400 all day including aussie teams) books ,collectibles etc mostly mens gear, your channel and journey is giving me awesome tips on how to go about sourcing and selling etc and from watching im going to look into consoles and games as nz has lots of good stuff still out there, I work full time but am going to hopefully side hustle my way to financial independence, Cheers mate good luck out there to you and Courtney, love the channel and stoked it's aussie content more than American as finding the old billabong gear etc is way more relatable, Onya👉🍺🫡🇭🇲🇳🇿🏝
My rarest I feel is a documentary series called Chicano! ( 4 tape set) It became a college text book, I'm guessing the text book industry stopped producing it immediately.. they are incredibly greedy. 😮
@@TheAussieFlipper I also try to keep All Legends & in original package I am 73 and I have an exceptional Album collection. I have a 45 by Lightnin' Hopkins
I have a bunch..cds too.. idk what to do with them! Lots of kifs stuff, 90s, 2000's.. CD from 90s , etc.Im in the states,Miami. Lots of Wiggles! Actually went to 2 concerts😂
I still have the OG Star Wars 20th Century Fox 1977 / 1982 VHS Rental Copy "Any one in the Know , Knows how rare this one is , My long Gone Fathers mate Had a Mum and Pops store , we used to get all the Good stuff Way back in the Day and he Gave me this as a present and it sits with all my Collectables , Need to Watch again as i hate what George did 🤮 Like these Vids , Great stuff Cheers 🍻
What? How could your 10 year old granddaughter born in 2014 not know what a VHS is????? VHS are incredibly common and often seen in our current era, especially for someone who's 10 years old!!!!!
Have you sold any VHS tapes? What’s been your best sale?

With VHS you have to make sure there is no mold on the tape. If they've been stored in a moist area for many years it can be an issue.
Great point
I sold a vhs tape from 1979 called Zombie Flesh Eaters for $216.00, it cost me $3 from Salvos. That’s a win!!!
That’s a massive win! Congrats man!
