Jet Set Radio really has become such a valuable key when it comes to the art I'm into since the three years ago I first fell in love with it. Cel shaded low poly, street aesthetics, alternative rock, house, jungle, et cetera.
@@limpst3ak The first Jet Set Radio, or Jet "Grind" Radio I guess since I've been playing it on the Dreamcast for a few years now. Some fond memories staying up at like 3 in the morning skating around the Shibuya Terminal in the Jet Tech stages haha

I am mindblown that this music was actually in games in the 90s/00s. It's so good too, it's not just any electronic music, it's really good. I feel like I'm being pranked and all of it was made last week. So crazy. Thanks for your work in bringing the tunes to us.
go check out some 90s jungle my guy. hugely responsible for shaping a ton of current genres/scenes. this stuff was my childhood. i miss when jungle/dnb/acid jazz house-y stuff was the norm in games edit: i apologize if this reads as condescending, it isn't meant to be. it's meant to be encouraging, because i do genuinely have a deep attachment to this music like a lot of people in the comments, and like ViRiX. these games (and my cousin who used to dj in DC in the 90s/00s) are massively responsible for my love of it.
@@kuno_ichi oh trust! I looove that stuff! (Shameless plug, i make that kinda stuff on my channel) acid jazz, jazz fusion, the whole deal. Ape Escape, bomberman, Rollcage, the whole thing. I love it!
hey there, the day this mix was uploaded was the day i dropped out of college to pursue a path more personally fulfilling. since then, i’ve listened to this mix daily to work, study, and prepare for my new career path. Next week, i officially start my dream job, and i feel like i owe ya a big thanks for putting out content to help people like me stay focused :) excited for more mixes like this to come!
Such an expressive-inducing game beyond actually playing it. Got me into a few bands and a discipline when it came to art. Not saying I tag or Rollerblade but it certainly evolved me in my teens through college.
i'm obsessed with this entire mix but especially the song from unreal tournament. i need to play that as soon i can get my dreamcast running again :D thank you for making this mix, it's amazing update: i got the game and it’s a blast (no pun intended)!!!!!
Bro i I can already tell this is bouta be a great mix i was NOT expacting sonic riders to appear bro i played the shit outta this game a while back god i love old video game music bravo, you, only three tracks in and you got yourself a sub, i'll definitely be comin back for more 🤙
Not a crazy statement. I agree with that looking back. Unfortunately I missed out on the original Xbox. I was a playstation fan boy and didn't own a Xbox.
damn this is fucking great AND the fact u got the gameplay of x game along with the music this is some top class work here YOU have just got another sub.
Ah, the Dreamcast... coupled with the Sega Saturn in terms of being relatively unsuccessful consoles made by the same devs, they're both the consoles I actually wish I had the most, the PS1 and N64 coming right afterwards.
Dreamcast has an aesthetic that would still work today. Timeless modern design.
Why did we abandon aesthetics 😩😭
By " timeless modern design " I think you mean " games that are actually 60 fps " 😁
actually it was pretty clunky and oddly shaped. Not timeless whatsoever. A 1992 mazda rx-7 is timeless, not a sony dreamcast
@@johngoldsworthy7135 gatekeeping words, why?

I loved Jet Grind Radio so much growing up. This game made me love the Sega Dreamcast. Timeless nostalgia.
jet grIIND RAADIOOOO♪
you said it right man. Jet set radio was an awesome game. memories forever.
JGR/JSR is like Sega's essence distilled into a single video game. It's what every Sega fan loves about Sega.

Wow it's nice to see someone who discovered the game recently and liked it ! Did you mean Jet Set Radio 1 or Future ? You played it on Steam ?

The jazz influence within lots of Dreamcast games is something I never thought I'd enjoy. It truly was a great era for VGM.
the fact that there is a clip from every source is BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!
Any mix that kicks off with some Jet Set Radio has got it on lock 🔐
Oh yes splash canyon from Sonic Riders, I never thought I would hear it on a a mix. Such a great piece.
Totally agreed!
yes
Another great mix. I love playing all these mixes in the store I work at, everyone says how much they enjoy it!
So glad to hear it! Thanks bro ❤️

I wasn't ready for Sonic Riders in this playlist, my dude. Love that game's soundtrack.
It’s certainly a bop 🌀

Dreamcast on a sony tv man this brings back memories. The 90s were magical technology was not overkill like today
JSRF and Jet Grind Radio are masterpieces, l9ove the mix
Sega (consoles) always had the greatest music. And so timeless
Superb thought to include the gameplay in the video as well. What a touch of nostalgia it has added to this mix!
Somehow these graphics impress me more than modern consoles
