    Whoa that is so cool! Thank you for this video!
    What kind of tool box is that and how did you secure it?

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  Месяц назад

      That’s just a standard truck bed tool box. I drilled it and added mounting points to it on the sides and secured it to the L track. This worked for us for a while, but it eventually ran into issues. The tool box was not really designed for the abuse I put on this truck and it bent and warped. A pelican case or a roam case is a much better option

    Nice set up, I’m doing the bump stops and Deavers for now. Your set up is in my future though! I like the trim edging around the cut out. Nice touch! See you out there soon!

    The main difference between Fox and King when I got my HM system done was about 4 to 6 weeks to get Kings vs. 8 to 12 weeks wait for Fox.

    You had mentioned that you have to keep the stock uca due to keeping the stock bead locks. Why is that? I am also big on the stock bead locks and want to keep them also. Love this setup. Springs is a great start, and this takes it over the top.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад +2

      it has to do with clearance. The stock beadlock offset puts the tires too close to the upper control arms. If your running KO2's is not an issue. but I'm running true 35" Toyo RT's that are a little larger and wider and would end up rubbing Offroad when aired down.
      I will need wheels with a O offset in order to use upgraded Upper Control arms. Since a 0 Offset wheel is needed for the Full bolt On Long travel kit, it's on my list of upgrades before finishing the front end. Including new fenders and everything else needed. it never ends. I need to just wind the lottery to finish the truck.

    • @davejordan2337
      @davejordan2337 4 года назад +1

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I figured it was a clearance issue. And I would think that would be your weak link now. And yes you do need to hit the lottery. Me too. I was looking at doing the spring upgrade myself. Gotta start somewhere.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад +1

      David Jordan yeah, taking it little bit at a time but have to be smart about upgrades so I’m not buying something I can’t reuse later.

      Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I’ve got the rpg uca’s on the stock rim with stock bfg k02. I’m actually having a rubbing issue. I just checked and I can see tire marks on the uca’s. Now, I’m trying to figure out a solution.
      Aftermarket rims with a 0 offset? But then I worry about rubbing the fender flares at full compression.
      Not sure

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад +1

      kenny hong I’m going to upgrade to 0 offset wheels and eventually new glass because I plan on doing Lomg Travel up front. I know plenty of guys with 0 offset wheels and they have not gotten any rubbing.

    Will the IVD uppers not fit the stock rims for your year? I have the factory beadlocks on my 19 and I am running the IVD delta joint uppers.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад +2

      Ryan Nolan suspension geometry and wheel offset is the same on all Gen2s.
      RPG or Icon UCA have similar dimensions and will leave similar space. Around 1/2 a 3/4 of clearance. The challenge with is that I regularly offroad and I’m aired down and that’s just not enough clearance with 12.5 in wide tires. If you keep the stock KO2s, you will be fine. But if you go to a true 35 later or start off-roading on the regular you will start seeing some rubbing.

    Could it be you didn’t hit the bump stops while off roading because you ran out of shock up travel?
    Those Fox 3.5’s shafts look like there’s only 5 or 6 inches left before full compression while truck is sitting. Same distance as your bumps before they can hit the pad.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад

      I doubt it, big difference between bottoming out the shocks and hitting the bumps.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 года назад

      If you look back at the help us decide on suspension video I tell the whole story. Basically someone hit the passenger side of the truck and we had to take it off to repair and repaint. So the whole wrap had to come off. yeah. She looks naked without her wrap.

      No, I only ran the kit a few months before the truck for totaled, but in that time the rods not the mounting points at the axel showed any damage. They are high up enough to be safe I think.
