Infectious Grooves was/ is a side project of Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies and featured the current bassist of Metallica Robert Trujillo. The band first formed with Dean Pleasants, Adam Siegel of Excel and Josh Freese (The Vandals/Xtra Large). Mike Muir was getting into funk and Suicidal was getting more heavy sounding which both influenced the sound of the early Infectious records. Their Bowie and Led Zeppelin covers are their most notable songs. They were pretty good live but got kinda uninteresting after the gimmick wears off.

Tarot Sport is one to keep! The opening track was played during the opening ceremonies of the 2012* London Olympics. Love that album!

Lol, I was so shocked to see that you had the record that I got my years wrong. Should have said 2012 London Olympics, not 2008. It's a short clip of Surf Solar, but it's at the beginning of the video montage when they are travelling up the Thames.

My wife and I also discovered Silverstein late. We just started listening to them within the last couple years. Being such a huge Thrice fan, and they always had that comparison. I wish I would've started sooner, they are really good. I haven't heard a song by them I don't like.

I just discovered Steve Davis debut album Music. George Clinton is credited on the tracks but not as part of the band or on discogs. The songs do have a groove but not pfunk. I am dying to know if it’s the same George Clinton. Just one of those things you don’t discover until you have the actual record in hand. Your funkadelic story with the pfunk connection triggered that. Thanks for recommendations. Cheers!

Amazing Funkadelic find. These videos are a blast but also you are a lucky man my friend. I thought you took home a copy of Standing On The Verge a while back. You got it in the store ages ago and I recommended you take it home and I’m pretty sure you did and showed it in your collection. Am I wrong?
I just got a nice copy of Cosmic Slop coming finally. I need to badly upgrade my copy of Standing On The Verge. Whatever party it went to in the 70’s must of been a banger.

Listened both to Telefon Tel Aviv and Tarot Sport after your suggestion, being electronic music fan for the last 25 years... and sorry I fail to relate to such music... it sounds like a version of electronic music for people that are not into electronic music :) love your videos anyway! thank you!
