I've been involved in martial arts and kickboxing for the majority of my life. This song is like a fighter's anthem. Working and training to win a fight Is it an extremely hard task. So when you achieve victory you do feel like you're mingling with mingling with the cosmos or walking with gods. I fucking love this song!
No bullshit imagine the lights coming down on you as you walk into a packed stadium and all you hear is this and the crowd, if you not ready to fight after that then this ain’t your sport lol love this track
Sad times! My teenage years were Atreyu, all damn day, then Alex left, i was unsure. Their new track "Underated" is heavy as fuck though, killer track, but this just didn't hit the mark for me. Solid review guys!! Where's the merch at?
Atreyu has been my favorite band since they came into existence, (yes, I'm old enough to say that), and I'm honestly sad that Alex left. I love Brandon's voice, but without Alex's screams, it's just not Atreyu anymore.
i saw atreyu like a hundred years ago at a warped tour. they played in one of those little side tents where the no name bands play. I got theire album whit only had like 4 songs that ended up being on the lip gloss and black album. I listened to that cd almost excusively for months. they were my favorite band up until lead sails and paper anchors.. Whatever they are now. They are not Atreyu. I used to send the lyrics to "to this flesh a tomb" to girls I liked. Its devistating to see what they've become. RIP atreyu
Gentlemen, recommendation for you. Nathan recently dropped a reference to The 1975 in a video. I’ve been giving this band called GARDEN a good thrashing lately and reckon their song Love Me to Death screams ‘75. Give her a listen. Cheers.
There's just so much dynamic heavy music coming out in recent times for it to compete with, I'm sure the song would do ok for itself if it was thrown on the Triple M workday rotation or something though.
Agree with everything you said. They've always had something different about them in a good way but this felt very lazy in a way. I liked save us but also found it a bit lacking and simple. Especially in terms of structure 🤷♂️
I agree! I’m a fan of the band... really liked Save Us, this one just didn’t stand out, didn’t get me excited... I enjoyed it but just didn’t “bop” as the cool cats say! For a recommendation though I came across this band literally yesterday called “As Everything Unfolds” a female lead rock band who has a range of clean and aggressive vocals! I checked out an album they have upcoming and there’s some good songs... they recently put up a video for one of their new tracks a week or two ago “On The Inside” I believe
First off love all your reaction. My fav reaction so far is Miley Cyrus. P.ease react to Rolling Quartz song called Blaze they are a New Korean rock group. I think you might like them.
That's a sub from me. Guys who don't blow smoke and pretend to like everything. Man I love me some Atreyu, but heavily dislike this song. Half chorus, blah, chorus, blah, chorus, back alley garbage can drum solo, chorus. 3 1/2 chorus repeat in a song under 3 minutes LOL.
Haha thanks! Look, we’ll always try to find positives in every reaction, but if it doesn’t hit us the right way then what’s the point in being fake about it right? Just for views? Nah. Music is too important to us to lie about. Glad you liked our approach.
@@johnnyneedham9831 Definitely! The best approach. I think most Atreyu fans would admit this isn't them remotely at their best. Sweet TPIY hoodie btw haha, great band. My girl really loves Landon Tewer's solo work.
The video should have had Travis drumming in it rather than the weird Fight Club vibe. Other than that look at Atreyu's track record and Travis's drum career and long list of collaborations and give credit where credit is due. Not all songs need to be analyzed and critiqued by everyone wanting to post a lame video of their long winded opinions. It sux Alex chose not to be a part of the album cuz it's just not really Atreyu if it's minus any original member cuz the magic just sadly lacks his vocals and screams that is his signature style we all know and love. The fans suffered due to his choice but gotta respect his wishes to do whatever he wants to do. "Warrior" so far is my favorite track off the new album, the other tracks will grow on me in time. Hopefully Alex realizes how much the fans missed him and decides to be a part of the next album. Cross your fingers and pray.
Sadly, Atreyu haven't done anything particularly noteworthy since 2008. And I don't mean that as a generic bands' old stuff is always better comment, it's just that their older material was somewhat interesting. To this track, a chorus is going to have to be a lot better than that if it's 80% of your song. Really lacking dynamism and variation too, bar Barker's drum fill which felt pasted onto the song, there wasn't really any flow into or out of it.
The vocalist undoubtedly has great range but I’m not a fan of his tone. The track as a whole was pretty boring imo: no complexity and a very basic structure with simple/cringey lyrics

I was in college drumline so I really dug the bridge. This song sounds like it was made for football season television.
The drum section gives me vibes from the into of their track from Congregation Of The Damned "You were the king , now you're unconscious".
Thanks for doing a live broadcast so I can see it boys! Much appreciated! 🤘🏻✌🏻

I agree, underrated is a banger! And we’re working on it dude! Keep your eyes peeled 👀
Getting our first The Breakdown with Nathan & Johnny premiere! Flashy 😅😜
Oh yes we are fancy now

You know what lad thats a shout. They remind me 75/police/cure crossover, cool mix of sounds.

First time seeing you lads, sooo Ricky Gervais face. Much love!

Thanks for the suggestion mate!
That dr feelgood tank!

Is that a Plot In You hoodie?👀👀
It sure is!
Can't you just not monetise the visa so we can watch along ? ;)
We don’t monetise any of our videos, it’s the record labels blocking it.

@@eightyeightfiveoh absolutely dude and thanks! We actually did a Tewers song a few weeks back if you scroll down the list. Good song too.
this is the worst Atreyu song. Period.

I totally agree with everything you guys said... Atreyu is a great band, but this was too bland...

the tone is off. Just like in 'the time is now'
