Being able to use the color scale to differentiate between data makes it much more visually pleasing
This video was super helpful when learning about the correlations matrix in SPSS, I now have a full understanding of the person R correlations matrix in SPSS,.
I am very new to SPSS , the more I watch your videos, the easier it is to use this system!
The ability to use the color function is so interesting! This feature is super helpful especially as a visual learner.
I am still new to SPSS so this video was helpful and learning how to use it.
Other resources besides Excel are so useful and you make all of them seem so easy. Thank you so much Dr!
Dr. Goodin,
Although I use excel over SPSS this video was still very informational. And if I ever need to use SPSS I know exactly where to look!
Thank youuuu soooo muchhhh. You dont know how helpless I was with this 😭.God bless you everything was so clear ❤.
Wow! The color function was super helpful! Thank you for this video.
I'm still not as familiar with SPSS but this is definitely a good fall back for when I don't have access to Sheets or Excel.
I've never used SPSS before, but watching this video makes it seem pretty simple.
SPSS has been off my radar because how how much more confusing than excel or sheets it can feel, so these videos help make me feel more comfortable using it.
I really appreciate how you show how to do everything on excel because I am always so lost on the program.
I love how correlation was demonstrated other than excel since excel can be tricky sometimes. I’m a visual learner so this really helps.
SPSS is still a new software for me, so this video was extremely helpful to grab a brief understanding of it.
I usually feel more comfortable using Excel but through this video I learned that SPSS is extremely useful and not very complicated once you get used to it
So interesting how it shows the relationships between multiple variables. It's a lot easier to identify patterns and dependencies in the data.
I have never used SPSS, this video was really helpful to understand it. I also really liked the addition of color, it helps to look at the data more efficiently.
Great video! SPSS was super intimidating at the start but these videos have really helped me get use to the program and use it effectively! Thanks
Hey Dr. Goodin thanks for showing us an excel alternative.
I like how you included application to a research project and common errors.
Doc, perfect example of what an excellent and helpful tutorial is made from. You've just help me going trough my last analysis in my master degree.
Pearson is the most frequently run correlation, thank you!
Learning how to use this program has been difficult for me but going step by step with the videos has helped. Hoping to get a better grasp on this soon!
It was cool to see how find correlations in both excel and SPSS. SPSS seems very simple to use as well!
This was definately a tough one but you explained everything in a easy and not intimidating way which was helpful because that looked like a ton at first but I feel a little better after watching!
I really liked this trick that you included in this. The color really helps to see these trends more clearly!
The color scale is awesome for more visual learners too! That’s awesome.
So cool how you are able to do a color scale. This is a really good concept for visual learners, I wish more people knew about this.
The color function is super neat! Definitely will be using that one moving forward.
The color scale was super helpful for me to distinguish between the data!!
This is a simple and user friendly program! thank you!
This information is really good to know. I hope that I will be able to use this in my future career.
really liking the layout of SPSS - Very user friendly
I like using the color scale! I think it is super helpful.
fantastic. thank you
Dr. Goodin, I have yet to use SPSS but you do make it seem less complicated than it looks with your step by step process.
Thank you!
Although i don't use this program it is a great second option for someone other then excel.
Obrigada 😃 from Brazil 🙏🏽
I definitely find that SPSS is easier than Excel for some things!
tricky... I love it
Thanks a lot
Thank u very much
Thanks for going step by step on SPSS. I am not very familiar with it.
thanks goodin :)
this video is really helpful,,, can you please help in deleting the cells diagonally??
Conducting a Pearson-r product-moment correlation analysis in SPSS allows researchers to assess the strength and direction of the linear relationship between two continuous variables, providing a correlation coefficient that ranges from -1 (perfect negative correlation) to 1 (perfect positive correlation) with 0 indicating no linear correlation.

I want to color code with asterisk signs .... Is there any way to do it ?
Is SPSS software you have to buy? From what I could find I think it was so that's why I've stuck with Excel. Unfortunately it seems super cool and helpful, especially that you can have it compute the correlation matrix so easily.
I haven't used SPSS that much because I'm still familiarizing myself with excel, but I think I'll start utilizing it more now. It seem like it can do more
how did you remove the diagonals for conditional formating??
Is SPSS better than excel or is there no difference?
