Ep3 is the corruption of power in religion, Ep4 is the corruption of power in science - really love to see the parallels in back-to-back episodes & it becomes a really nice foundation for the rest of the series
Fun fact: in the manga, when a character dies there is an end panel of their soul going upwards except tucker he is the ONLY one considered evil enough for his soul to go downwards
Believe it or not, the 2003 version of this is even more traumatic for Edward... There he was 12, he had spent more time with Nina (some months/2 episodes in 2003), and... Watch ep 7 to find out.
@@darkscoutergamer6168 Yes, in 2003 version they changed various aspects of the plot, and also changed the timeline a bit (e.g. watching 2003 ep 7 you can notice a younger Scar... The train adventure and the mining town (omitted in Brotherhood) were in the manga, but probably Edward was older on paper, etc.)
@@LegnaiaUnderground wasn’t the original show canon/like the manga up until a certain point where they branched off into filler territory? If I remember correctly cause I mostly remember brotherhood more myself haha💙 were the ages said in the show or like outside source for 2003? Btw thanks for replying 🙏🏻
@@darkscoutergamer6168 Ed and Al age was sometimes shown on screen and sometimes mentioned by characters. In 2003 there is a long flashback which starts around episode 3 and ends episode 9, giving some idea about how the brothers spent the years between the failed human transmutation and the trip to Leore. You see Edward being younger/shorter during those flashback episodes.
@@darkscoutergamer6168 While the 2003 series totally diverged from the manga halfway, it had planned differences since the beginning (e.g. what homunculi are, the look of the Gate...)
It's nice to see reactors who don't get angry at scar for killing nina/Alexander. My perspective is that it was a mercy killing. Nina would have had zero quality of life.
11:37 - Manga has "in memoriam" drawings in the end of chapters, showing everyone who died rising in heaven as angels, no matter how good, bad, major, or minor they were... However, one showing little girl and dog angel, showed eyeglass wearing figure in what was captioned as "hell"... this was only time hell was shown. This is one of the things I don't like English dub about; Japanese dub, and manga has the guy stating "two souls" being send to god, not "human souls".
Oh yeah I remember that,it was cool the manga did that💙although I forgot about the eyeglass stuff, also yeah the dub is great but definitely does have some changes here or there but Tbf that one sorta makes sense as to what they were referring I think yeah?
@@smith22041 yeah I assumed 2 souls ofc are them, they probably changed it in the dub to refer to the dad as well but the manga and Japanese version I think definitely is better with that comment, did scar know about the dad beforehand?
Welcome into reality sweet summer childs...probably top 5 darkest and disturbing moments in all of anime no question...At least at the end, the author show them with wings to remove some of the trauma...but not for Tucker...

The horse say "Neigh".
The dog says "Ed...ward".

Wait fr? Ngl the age stuff definitely is confusing a bit with both shows for me atm🤣 however a rewatch would definitely help for sure later.

Oh yeah, I felt that even when I saw the original series for the first time.
They have the best shirt of Nina and her dog doing the fusion dance from DBZ
That’s fucked up 🤣
@@ProjectSenpai oh it is but I hate that's it's such a good looking design.
To this day, Shou Tucker is still one of the most hated anime characters of all time
He's my 7 of my top 30 list of hatred anime characters.😤

@darkscoutergamer6168 the two souls could have been her and the dog, leaving the father to hell. If it doesn'tspecify human.

If you get time, you should definitely check out the 2003 version of Nina 😊
Yes, I think even a comparison video may be nice!
yall doing Korra & FMAB at once is all I could dream 🫡🔥🍻 my 2 favorite animated series
Nightmare fuel if I ever saw it
Yep, this episode still hurts, no matter how many times I watch it 😭
