As someone who grew up and lives in LA, it is a not a flex to pay 7k in rent. Actually, kinda dumb because you live in DTLA, one of the worst locations in LA. But props to you for doing all this in your early 20s. Just feel like you’re burning money living in DTLA

It's not a flex to even say you live in California period. Taxes, communism, absurd homelessness, cold feeling city regarding people interacting with one other, yet the excuse is "weather" when there are PLENTY of other places on this planet that offer that MINUS all the things listed. That's the real stupidity here.
It's part of the lifestyle and being in your early 20's wanting to be close to everything (and his content in this case) - suburbs are for your late 20's/early 30's
