Because ik they have the money for it. What this movie shows it ultimately they lazy dont dont care abt lore because tbh godzilla should have fought the snake at least twice in the movie. Im the movie it could have cleared so many things up like for instance godzilla going back to his hollow world his real home at the end of the movie for hype for next. Godzilla vs the spider underwhelming. Only fights in the movie that i felt like it was a true battle of monsters were scar king vs kong before shimu froze his arm. And some more things I remembered how is scar king the only monkey that’s different? Where he come frm where did kong really come frm because tbh i feel like the kongs were forced there n thats not there true home. Mainly because it just looks like a prison for slaves.

Not gonna lie, one of my criticisms of the movie is how both Tiamat and Scylla were unceremoniously killed off. It felt unnecessary. Both of these Titans got hyped up for years, especially Tiamat, and in her first big screen appearance, she lasts all of 30 seconds against Godzilla in what was basically the Titan equivalent of a home invasion.
Another criticism is how it felt more like a Kong movie than a Godzilla movie, as the focus was on Kong way more than Godzilla. Godzilla felt more like a guest star.
Not to mention that Tiamat was treated as if she hadn't lived for years into one of the most energy-filled places of Earth. Godzilla got powered up while she didn't, and she used none of her main strengths vs Godzilla. This was a waste of a titan...

If Kong wasn't there or Mothra. G would have been finished very quickly. Shimo freezes and Skar axes him to death just like Mega Gojira. The only way they win is the way the movie ended up.
Now onto the next film.

Less than a minute. When I saw the scene, I was like...No, we need more fighting scenes, it was just too fast. Godzilla went there with one sole purpose, to destroy Tiamat, took its power so he could fight a bigger threat. So he already set his mind on it and he knew he could take down Tiamat. Godzilla vs Kong even took longer than that, how could he kill Tiamat so fast was just weird. We know Tiamat is stronger than Kong. The director just doesn't do Tiamat any justice.

I don't think Skar and Shimo were really big enough threats to warrant Godzilla evolving because in the exposition dump it's implied that a weakened and noobish Godzilla beat Skar and Shimo as well as all the other apes by himself about the time Shimo started the ice age.
I think he was just amping himself up for the sheer fact he was done messing around and wanted to end it quickly.

Skar king was honestly not that strong compared to Godzilla or Kong, It was Shimo. He litterally couldnt do anything without the Artifact. Alot of characters were kind of wasted.

During the fight between both all he did was chase the thing controlling shimo around and couldn’t actually do anything. His experience was “fuck I can’t beat them I need to control someone else and say I did it” his agility was him only running to get the item. Was a terrible villain. Mecha Godzilla was far more threatening.
Skar King was a mastermind style of villain. Up until now, all the Monsterverse badguys were just juggernauts who weren't very intelligent. I don't mind that Skar King isn't a great fighter. Him controlling Shimu makes up for it. I'm just sad that they killed him off when he could have been a recurring villain later, or maybe an ally in a desperate situation later.

Cool thing to note: GxK’s Novelization says that Godzilla not only absorbed the solar radiation that was present in Tiamat’s lair, but also absorbed some of her DNA. Now I just imagine Godzilla collecting the souls of these titans and becoming even more of a mutant 😭

I wish G man had tried to fight her in the film first, left after being equal and then goes to the reactor to drain radiation then come back and overpower her. Feels like a missed side story for him really. Shame because i wanted to see her abilities but she only tried to suffocate him.. I also feel like they could have just made Godzilla force her to retreat and run off, keeping her alive but wounded so she could return in a later film.

In both fights neither actually showcased his strength, they were both beaten by things he couldve already done. Scylla was just stomped on which he just relies on his weight and tiamat just was headshot, how does this show his power it was a terrible waste of two really cool kaiju. This couldve been solved if they just for one didnt have them die in such dumb ways and two extended the fights to show his durability his strength and his speed because currently the fights ended they same way they couldve back in kotm nothing changed no power up.
Also it doesnt show how strong godzilla is it puts scylla and tiamat down as just weak to new fans because there wasnt a fight at all it was just murder

I would say he needed to power up to stand a chance against Shimo, not skar king. Skar king was hella weak, any big titan could have probably wiped the floor. He even lost the first fight against kong.
I would say he definitely bested Kong in the first fight. Kong only landed 2 good slams in the end.
@shahcamranahmed9056 I would say he is very acrobatic, but he did not win. Once kong saw he got cut, he got mad and beat him. That's why skar released shimo in the first place.

The only criticism I had for the film was that they just keep killing these minor Titans. Even in the Showa era, the most minor kaiju were just beat up and sent running. Save them for another film like Destroy All Monsters where all the monsters team up to defend the world.

I like Tiamat design wise.... Even though she looks like a bio-luminescent verison of Mizutsune from Monster hunter. Wish we would have gotten more of her and made her this universe's version of Manda or the mosasaur from Godzilla the series.

Excellent video. I LOVED the movie, but feel it missed it's chance to display how powerful she was. GODZILLA FIGHTS WERE TOO SHORT I MY OPINION.
