In 1987 I was in a shelter with my baby from three months old, during 8 months, when I bought this cassette tape (Holland).
I played it, every day, over and over again.
I'm over the moon that I found it again.....at lást!!!!! :)

Enfin cette fantastique version en stéréo ! Introuvable depuis 1995... Disponible en France en 1988 dans une version tronçonnée de deux minutes !

Thank you so much for posting this. This was my childhood!! I didn't even know it was originally a secular song until much much later in life.

+Sandye Whitfield Vocals You're welcome. Great song. Even the lyrics to the secular songs in the 70's and 80's were much more substantive.

Have been desperately looking for this all over the place so I can download it and couldn't find it anywhere not, let alone a good quality copy... even you tube, except for a live TV Version, But I remember when My parents used to play this in the crib when we were kids back in the 80's, and my father would play this before teaching a bible class. I grew up on Gospel music.... Always loved this song.

Secular lyrics that easily adapt to a gospel meaning - everything I do, i do it for you, by Bryan Adams is another example that comes to mind

Simple pop songs can take on a whole new meaning when applied to new situations and this this is a brilliant adaptation to religious Christianity

So basically... after "I Want to Know What Love Is" became a pop music success , NJMC went ahead and recorded an entire album of gospel versions of hit secular songs at the time. That seems to sum it up

You do know they were the back up singers of the original songs correct. So why not
