      This method was in the syllabus of class 8th. Hope you had not studied that time. If you want to learn this method then just go and read the square root chapter of class 8 and learn and enjoy of learning

      As Retro said, it is a rule. There is no apparent explanation that would satisfactorily dispel any confusion. Just trust that it is necessary.

      Hers is a method by rote and rule.
      Here is a method is far simpler and easier to remember:
      In each iteration simply multiply your current root by 20. Thus: 2 x20 is 40. 40 into 361 is 9. Add that to the 40 and multiply by the 9. 441. which is way bigger than 361. 8 wont work either. Too big. But 47 x 7 is 329 which is less than 361
      "Multiply the current root by 20, add the next digit, and multiply again" is a LOT easier to remember than what she is teaching. You will remember that forever, but will not remember her method

    Up until this video I've hated math!! Started watching this so I could learn how to help a girl I fancy with a algebra test she's freakin' over, but I'm learning this pretty darn well and wish my teachers tought it to me this easy!!       Actually it does not cover really any square root problems you will meet up with in real life. The odds of you ever encountering perfect squares in real life is basically nil. This method relies on the number being that. It will not help in any way to find the square roots of numbers you meet up with real day to day calculations.
