My dad is a carpenter and I live in Brighton so he took me there to pick up some tools. I didn't actually know it was their house at the time, it was only until like a month after I found out it was their house. It's not actually in Brighton its in one of the surrounding areas.

Hi Joe!
Whenever I have a sore throat I always drink as much honey and lemon as possible. You basically just squeeze some fresh lemon juice and honey into boiling water and drink it like tea. It might make your throat sting while you drink it but the antibacterial properties in the honey and the lemon will make your throat heal faster! :)
I drink it everyday love honey and lemon also put it in my glass of vodka it's the best

Hi Joe. You probably wont see this but i just wanted to say that im 14 and i had a operation to get my tonsils removed last week. The reason for this is because i got sore throats and infected tonsils quite regularly. The operation takes about 40 minutes, and once you wake up from the anaesthetic, you feel totally rubbish. Everything you swallow causes pain. It got to the point where I couldn’t drink water as it would hurt too much. I also struggled to swallow my own saliva. Its horrible. You basically have to stay at home for 2 weeks and avoid being with people, as you need to let your throat heal. Its been a week since i had my operation and it hasn’t healed at all. Make sure to take paracetamol/ibuprofen as that is like holy grail! It makes it so much easier to drink and eat!! I hope i helped, all together i would only recommend having the surgery if you have had tonsillitis A LOT in the last year. Everyone’s recovery story is different but i have read that it takes 8-14 days to heal. (Roughly). Watch youtube vids on tonsillectomy recoveries. They seem to be helpful. And research online.

I had my tonsils out when I was 14 (I was the oldest person in the ward) apparently the older you have them out the worse the recovery is but it’s really not that bad. I was like you and had major scarring on my tonsils and they were constantly inflamed with all the tonsillitis I had so getting them out was a blessing. You wake up groggy and have a week or two of a sore throat but it’s not bad at all. I mean, I got an infection which closed my throat up and they did cause irreparable damage to my jaw which still causes me issues over a decade later but I’m sure you’ll be fine!!

Oh I got my tonsils removed when I was five and all I remember was eating ice cream and popsicles for three days afterwards to cool my throat and it was great tbh
And I don't really remember the operation because I was put under anesthesia
Mix 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, with 2 tablespoons of Honey heat in microwave for 1 minute then add boiling water to cup stir and drink as warm as possible without burning yourself lol hope it helps you xoxox

I'm a singer (hence the name of my channel), gargling salt water is good, but also gargling aspirin, put it in a glass of water and let it dissolve and then gargle it. Also, the bog standard honey and lemon trick helps too. Hope that helps xx

A spider crawled behind you whilst you were talking about your favourite musicals.
I had my tonsils removed when I was 4. I don't remember much about it apart from getting to have a lot of ice cream to soothe my throat after the operation XD more tonsilectomies are performed on children than adults because children's tonsils tend to overgrow when they get tonsilitis, which can then lead to them obstructing their airways. In adults, the lymphoid tissue shrinks back down, meaning it is less likely for this side effect to occur. However, if it is persistent (6-7 cases of tonsilitis in a year, or 2-3 per year for a couple of years), or other problems arise, that is when adults usually end up having to have their tonsils removed. Naturally, doctors don't want to perform a survey somewhere as delicate as the throat unless absolutely necessary.
Children are also very resilient, and the younger they are, the less likely they are to remember having had the surgery (like with me)

Had my tonsils out as an adult. It went ok. They gave me an antibacterial anaesthetic spray for my throat. Sounded sexy for all of two weeks.not. woke up after op and was banging on about my upcoming nuptials to Mr Spock!!

I had my tonsils removed when I was 15.
When I came out of the sugery room when i regained my consciousness i felt like I was falling from the sky and my head was all spinning
After the, surgery you cannot eat or drink for 1 hour after that they ask you to drink iced water but you cannot open mouth wide enough because during the surgery they unhinge the jaw and it takes sometime to again start opening mouth. So you drink water with a spoon or a straw.
You eat a lot of ice cream so that was amazing😀😀
But I got injections for 1 week and they were the worst.
But now I rarely get a sore throat.
You should get yours removed if they are infected
They can be bad as you will get repeated sore throats

I got my tonsils out when i was 11, it wasnt that bad :) I got heaps of ice blocks (ice lollies i think you call it) and i just got to lie in bed for a few days haha but it makes you feel better and it stopped me snoring 😂😂

I had my tonsels removed whan i was really young. But it was fine and i got to eat a lot of ice cream.
I had my tonsils out in October and I'm 25 years old. Joe I have to tell you it is one of the most painful surgery recoveries an adult can go through, very different to when a child or teenager has them out because we take much longer to heal inside. It is horrible having tonsilitis all the time so of course the operation is worth it in the end (if you are gonna have them out may as well do it asap) but do lots of research first. Make sure you have 3 solid weeks blocked out your diary and STAY POSITIVE as a large percentage of people feel extremely down during recovery. Take care of yourself xx
