7:45 - Joe is right, but also, cherish the time you have grandparents, because when they are gone, you will miss them so much. My grandparents died in 2005, within three months of each other, 12 years is a long time! Make the most of it now while you have your wonderful granny and grandad around.
John King very true mine are all gone now and i miss them especially my nan she died almost 10 years ago and i still miss her so much she was a top lady.
I know how it feels. I never knew my grandparents on my father's side, as both of them died before I was born, so I only had grandparents from my mother's side. Both were kind, wonderful grandparents.

That was wrong I ment have them untill I became an adult.
Yet Zoe and Joe see their grandparents about twice a year..

8:15 yeah I totally agree. For the last two Christmases (including this one) I have gone and volunteered with the elderly, so we give them their dinner and then we entertain them. I sing so that’s what I do, but it’s so sad to hear how many don’t have families Merry Christmas all 🖤

Today i found out my grandad died. My brothers didnt really understand but me and my dad were devastated. I was so heartbroken because i didnt spend enough time with him. I saw him one time a year, and sometimes i didnt even see him once during the year. Then my parents, my brothers, my mums parents and i moved to ireland, and left my grandad, we hadnt seen him in 4 years. And then he passed away. Always spend time with your family and loved ones. If you havent already today, tell your family you love them because you and them wont be here forever.
something about the whole family just sitting down, opening presents and conversing with family, including their grandparents made me so emotional...bless them all.

It’s so amazing seeing joe with his nan and granddad. Mine live in Scotland and me being from Liverpool I barley get to see them. It’s so nice seeing how much he loves them and cares about them! I just found out my granny has cancer and it’s so heartbreaking, I treasure all my moments with her ❤️

Love that you are an ambassador of Age Uk! I am an activities coordinator in a care home for dementia residents and my 13 year old son volunteers there and some never get visitors or have any family so social inclusion is so important in giving them quality of life! Well done!
