- ► Hello! I bless thee with a 49 minute vlog of a family trip to our fave holiday destination as children. The Isle of Wight! We also visited one of our fave places 'Blackgang Chine' and we were lucky enough to be shown some behind the scenes and some familiar faces pulled from the archives.

you said at the end of the vlog we don't get anything from you, but that couldn't be further from the truth! You give me smiles, laughter, insight, teaching me how things are in a different country than my own and showing me around. Your vlogs are NEVER dull. From this Canadian, thanks for the years and years of laughs, especially when you three are together. Side note: You are such a fun uncle, so we have to call you Funcle. lol

Wow that sunset was beautiful. I loved watching how excited you and Zoe were to relive memories of your childhood and make new memories with the family. I laughed so loud when Otti through the “real fosil” on the floor🤣🤣🤣
I spent many holidays as a child on the IOW as my grandparents retired there. We could see BGC when illuminated at night from their house & visited many times. Grt memories. I remember you taking Msrk & Rena to the IOW when they last visited.
Thank you so much for the trip down memory lane. The last holiday with my parents was Isle of Wight 1976. I also have a picture of me crawling out of the iconic devil’s mouth.

This video is such a throwback! We went to the Isle of Wight so much as kids, including blackgang chine, robin hill and the donkey sanctuary! Loved seeing all the old attractions, brought back all the memories!

I enjoyed that so much Joe, I’ve never been there but it still made me nostalgic for my family trips as a child, and as a mother of young children too. I remember going to a similar place in Germany when I was about 11 which had those talking bins, and that was the best thing for me too😂 we were pulling leaves off trees to put in the bins just to hear them say thank you in 3 different languages - no rubbish anywhere, just when you want some😅

I went to the IOW but never been to this place. We just went to the seaside. As my mum and dad didnt drive. Looked so much fun thanks for taking us alone.💙💙

Lovely vlog. I remember travelling to IOW on a school trip from the Lake District back in the 1980s and visiting Blackgang Chine
If you ever go on a family trip outside of the UK, you should definitely go to the Efteling in the Netherlands. They have a fairytale forest in there and i feel like the girls would love that!

Yeah it was very nice of them to bring them out from the archives for us! I told them they should have a time tunnel attraction there for the older generations so they can walk through some of their old favourites
