- In my opinion Riga is very underrated in the European tourism map. Latvian capital is not usually included in the “first tier” travel destinations, but maybe it should be?
Riga is more than 800 years old. Among many interesting attractions, it is also hotspot for Art Nouveau arhitecture. In this video I will be concentrating on the most beautiful side of Riga.

In Riga, there are around 800 Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) buildings and we are not counting all the eclecticism, and classicism from the 19th century, yes, in Barcelona it is about 2000, but in Riga, it is truly everywhere and Riga would be called the capital of that style as it deserves, especially, compared to Barcelona, in Riga you would see mostly Northern Style. I would highly recommend it to everyone, especially if you are into architecture.

For those curious how such a highly regarded restuarant such as Vincents no longer exists, sadly, the owner and celebrity head chef, Mārtiņš Rītiņš, passed away.
Yes, that’s correct!! Never get to visit Vincents, but it must have been one of a kind during its peak years.

I would say Riga is very safe in comparison :)
Why not continue developing the city in this beautiful stile. But no! They built a monstrosity next to the train station. Not to mention the national library and the new university of Latvia buildings. Such a shame.
Completely agree! These buildings are timeless. Stood for 100 years, will stand anoter 100!!
