This is one of the most meaningful videos I've watched on RUclips. It's three years later and I could not quite find anything this meaningful for my situation. Shadé, you're such a remarkable person.
When it's my turn to speak I get lost for words, stammers pop in, I feel awkward and heart pumps faster. These clues are really helpful. Thanks a bunch Shade
I don't often get anxiety in meetings but I do keep my mouth shut because some members of the team give me that jealous "damn he's so perfect" vibe, which genuinely and seriously distresses me, because I'm unfortunately an agreeable person. I may come across as perfect partly because I used to have anxiety and so I would think very carefully before I spoke and have refind my ability to formulate thoughts over the years due to that.
Hey shade, your videos are so amazing that since I started watching you recently, can not stop watching your insightful videos, they are very helpful for personal and internal growth .
Third point I really like and very important . the Way your talking is so attractive and faccinative to learn English and other skills . Thanks and keep it up
Hi Shade' i just discovered your channel video! I like your friendly calm energy! I love your intro montage! I just like clicked and subscribed! I live with social anxiety, and i have learned to disguise it when im out in the world sometimes. But when in a group setting like a class , i get sick feeling in my stomache and panic. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Introvert mom of 4 sons (2 autistic) enjoying connecting with the youtube community, learning from others, while trying to grow my small channel (dog therapy music to save pups/humans lives) God Bless!
These are very awesome strategies that we need to capitalize in our workplace. I have also experienced the same thing while in branch meeting. Slowly, I have been able to manage and overcome by conducting more meetings like twice a week i/o only one meeting in a week. So, more you chamber the meeting then you will definitely get more confidence. This is just my experience and shall not be applied in everyone's career but it will help to some extent.
I love all her advices, it help me a lot. Is really hard to feel fear to speack up, it is something that costing me a lot to overcome but I know that with this advices I will achieve. Sorry for my gramatical errors it is because it is is my thirdth lenguage that I'm learning.
Hi Rajesh, happy to hear it resonated! It's definitely something many are challenged by, which is such a shame because it does impact how you're perceived at work and can hold you back from progression (and also does impact in social environment too!). I hope it's helpful for you! 🙂
@@ShadeZahrai yes *Shade* , helpful. Good part here is... You explaining all this, because I hate Watching and listening to motivational speeches. My perspective was, learning something from my mistakes by analyzing. But after I came across your videos... I can't take my eyes and ears off.... because, it's pleasure for me to watch and listen to YOU. These days realising that, learning from your videos helping me to find best way in improving my soft skills. I already started using complication, modify, fantastic/brilliant, eloborate in my speech and emails.👍 Thanks *Shade* for being here...😍 Lot's of love and best wishes from me to YOU 💝
This is absolutely me ! Thank you for sharing shadé , watching over find out myself how exactly me 🤔🤔🤔 . Wowww💖 this is perfect tips 🤩 Very interesting to learn from you , adopting this absolutely will help me on my next journey 💖 Thank you once again and I love everything shadé 🥰😘
wonderful session. But I would like to add one thing. Instead of questioning the correctness of the thought I find it much helpful to ask whether it is helpful? Whether it is helping me to move in the direction I want to go in life?
I so appreciate this video! My biggest fear when speaking is my accent. I have worked so hard on English pronunciation and do my best to speak slow and clear. Yet, after 23 years of living in the States, I still have an accent. I start to panic when I see people's faces and they seem not to understand.
Hi Diana, America is a melting pot of diverse cultures and the variety of accents is beautiful. If you objectively believe that your accent is difficult to be understood then you might want to get the help of a speech therapist (if you haven't already done so). They can identify and help you remedy exactly where you're struggling so that you can be better understood.
@@ShadeZahrai Dr. Zahrai - Thank you very much for your kind response. I am grateful that you took the time to read and reply to my comment. Indeed, this is a melting pot, and where I live now, most people tend to take the time to listen to people with an accent. It is such a relief when people are welcoming! I took a class on accent reduction. My instructor explained that our accent would never go away since the muscles around our mouths are used to execute phonetic sounds differently. She also said that we will always find people who naturally do not have an ear for accents. I appreciate the breathing technique you recommended while counting to three. I will apply this when I come across these people. :)
Jai jinendra.. superbly explained..shall definitely do these 5exercises my 6th one shall be doing a breathing exercise to calm my anxiety before the meeting.. thanks.❤
Hi Shade. Your guest is even better than me. I am almost losing my mind because of fear, anxiety and worry. I have a condition that makes my head tremble...it makes me over-worry. I leave our meetings embarrassed and sad each time. Pls somebody should kindly advice me.
OVERCOMMING THE FEAR OF SPEAKING UP - 1. Pay attention to your thoughts 2.Question your thoughts 3. Be present and focus what being said 4.Use power of Breath 5.Take actions
"I am competent, I am capable, I have a strong track record of being able to add value. I believe in myself"..... it's really working for me. Thanks Shade 🙏
Yes I really loved the way you put out the tips to overcome fear. Would you do a video on how we must react to people who are really aggressive at times, infront of other people??
0:11 There is a magic pill that makes you feel confident but has a side-affects like Dry mouth, Loss of appetite, nausea Fatigue, moodiness, hair loss and stupidity!🤪 But I like your way better😆
It was something we wanted to do for a while! I had so many amazing questions come through Instagram and Facebook - I only wish I could record responses to all of them! It’s great being able to connect directly with some of those who follow me though - I really enjoyed that. 🙏🙂
facing this kind of issue is very common with every person who tries to develop him. but it's not a very difficult job to do it. with passion and determination after some time, we can become better at it.
Great advice, I can sing in front of anyone and played in bands for years but if I do a presentation I can barely speak I’m so nervous! What’s that all about?😱
Best way to get your foot in the conversation is to ask a question 🤘🏽
Agreed! A great way to have your voice heard 👌
Yeah but then I feel guilty because what if the person you asked the question to has speaking anxiety 😅
Watching every video of Shade makes my life and personality more lovely. Thanks Shade
