  • Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
Rainstorm just as I arrived, but it passed by quickly. This is the first Friday since the implementation of the new Production Shift Schedule, meaning no production today and we see visual confirmation of this from the parking lots, the factory new vehicle exit points and activity on the west outbound lot.
It is important to point out that the production shift changes and no production on Friday does not mean the entire factory is shut down ... rather many sections such as casting, stamping and the 4680 production cell areas are still operating and likely using this time to build inventory ahead of production resuming next week.

Despite the production shift changes, construction around the site continues , especially on the south end extension, both interior fit out & work on exterior features such as trenching, water pipe installation, grade work on the SW corner & work on the three tunnel exits on the south perimeter grade beam. Crews there were installing forms and preparing rebar for installation & concrete pours for a pile cap supporting receiving aprons for each of the three tunnels.
On the SE angled corner, a large ground slab inside the extension has been poured over the area where the large brown cooling water pipes and distribution manifolds were installed in trenches under this area. More work on the cooling water pipe installation at the cooling plant, with these large pipes fully installed across the gap between the extension and the cooling plant. electrical conduit for the cooling plant is also visible being installed in this area.
At the old east side testing and calibration lot, new signs indicate the north half is now an employee parking & charging lot for EVs only. Many employees are now parking their cars here and these are confirmed to not be new vehicles. On the south half, this section has been segregated by a fence and is being used for temp storage of Cybertrucks as they await final check s before they move to the west outbound lot.
On the east side of the casting machine section, we see a lot of progress with the bag house plant equipment, ventilation ducting & filtration units. Just to the north, the dirt area that received the mud base on my previous video now has a dirt excavation on the east half and visibly more conduit sticking up near the exterior wall. The large saw cutting operation has now been completed on the original concrete exterior wall, revealing another large receiving door located exactly where the screw-type piers were installed where a receiving apron/concrete loading ramp will be completed.
Finally, around Tesla Road just north of the factory, more conduit installation and running of wires into the conduit is underway today. We also see a trailer and additional equipment being set up on the south end of the electrical switchyard, possibly indicating offices for crews that will install the third transformer, but that is still to be determined if that is the purpose.
