If the parent isn't your client it's not your job to get them to understand. The client is the one coming to you so help them period. And yeah, much of the time because the parent won't ever understand, your client may need to cut ties and go no contact. Lots of people out here going no contact. I'm one of them. Listening to this interview, I now understand that my ENTIRE family of origin was/is enmeshed.
