been running the bifrost for a few months now (picked it up from currys during a sale for £299) and its been a solid purchase so far. Initially it was a buggy nightmare but with all the software updates - direct from intel, acer seem to have forgot about updating it - it has become one of my favourite cards.
The ray tracing performance is remarkably good all things considered and with each update the performance climbs to another level. Overclocking via the intel arc software is a doddle but the fans can be a bit loud.
for the money I can't see many better options and it saves you from giving Nvidia even more money or buying into AMDs buggy software
Glad it's working well for you. Yeah I'd recommend going straight to the Chip manufactures site for drivers over the AIB partner.
A good looking card if you ask me, not sure it'll be much of an upgrade from my 3060ti FE though but I'm sure the 16gb will give it some longevity
Yeah I don't think you'd see that much benefit. Maybe if Intel bring out the Battlemage series.
Had an Acer Bifrost for a few months. Ran hot and was noisy. Not sure if I had early thermal pump-out, but it was not an effective bit of kit. At all. This is in addition to the issues I had with the Arc drivers.

Used 3 of these in builds last year, including my main rig; solid performers for the games I play.

If you need DOSBox to work stay away from the Intel Arc cards. DOSBox quite working with Arc GPU's after driver 4676 almost 4 months ago, and Intel doesn't seem to want to fix it for some strange reason?

I got one it's definitely mid tier . Crashes when you use an ultrawide display and is buggy but I do like the image it produces. Not giving up on it yet.

did you enable ReBar ?
I believe rebar was enabled from a previous mobo bios update, so yes.

Привет. Гугл переводчик, заранее извините. Это довольно маленький вентилятор, поэтому увеличение числа оборотов только делает его громче. С включенной панелью гораздо лучше.

@@jordanash I'm from the U.S. On Amazon they are almost the same price, the Intel one is a little more expensive.
I'd watch my RX6650 XT video and compare to this, I can't remember how close they were really.

Wouldn't you need something more powerful anyway? A budget gpu isn't what springs to mind for VR.
@@jordanash I run VR fine still on a old 1080TI, the extra vram of this card would be nice though with all the vram needed for social vr games with lots of users in a instance.
To be fair the 1080ti is a beast, still comes out on top of some current cards

@@jordanashidk if it’s still the case but i think it’s because of dx 12 rather then dx11, I think the arc struggles with that still unless it’s been fixed, idk
It could have been, I've not had that issue on any other cards.
