Not going to read all the comments to find it. Having prefaced my remarks that way: And for anyone sorting by newest - Starfield is a menu bug. Anytime you use it, the performance tanks on ARC. For the A750LE I use A blend of low and medium with XeSS Quality. Then restart the game and don't go in the menu again. Otherwise performance tanks and you have to restart again. It is less than 30 seconds with a 5600X3D 32GB of 4000MT/s synced with FCLK/infinity fabric. Still annoying though. Considering the game was broken on ARC at launch it has come a long way.

I am planning to get the 770 or wait for the battlemage series. I really want to support intel in this market with Nvidia and AMD overpricing thanks to their duopoly.

I got the A750 for $180 (used deal on Amazon). It's fine for me. I use it for productivity (not video editing) and competitive gaming which usually have no performance issues. In fact, I capped it at 90W. My CPU, tho, is the 14900K which I need more than a fancy GPU, so, priorities...

I'm a cheapskate that quite early told my friends that the ARC Alchemist series most probably would have a hard time with the drivers. No matter what the quality of the hardware was the drivers would be crap when the cards were first introduced. Intel proved me right as the drivers were dog poop when they first was released.
Now my reason I said they would be bad was that this is a new software stack supporting new hardware. Compare that to Nvidia and AMD and the drivers they use has been developed for decades. Of course the code isn't the same but it has been refined over the years and supports all kind of DX versions and others. Intel on the other hand had to start from scratch and with a limited team of developers and time constraints that's a bad place to bee. Even the drivers for the integrated GPU in their computers has often been accused of being way worse than it should be.
Now Intel has proved to get their drivers improved a lot better than I had guessed, but what will really be interesting is to see how good Battlemage cards will be. Initially I guessed that the first cards that would be able to compete with AMD and Nvidia as far as performance and driver quality is concerned was the Celestial series that will come after Battlemage. With the experiences the development team has had seeing the problems for Alchemist they have probably learnt a lot of what the customers demands from these cards. We might just see a very good generation of graphics card with Battlemage. I think the big thing is the driver quality. The hardware is most probably quite good, but without well working drivers that doesn't really matter. I really doubt that Battlemage will be able to meet the fastest cards from Nvidia and probably not AMD. But they don't really have to as long as they can compete in midrange and low range and do so at good prices. Now I'm a bit old and slow. To me mid range should be RTX 4070, RTX 5070, RX 7700 and RX 7800 range. Now this last gen didn't really work that way. The RTX 4060 is about as mid range as Nvidia is concerned. But the performance difference between the 4060 and the 4070 is pretty huge. Not quite as large as the price difference but way too large in my opinion.

@PC Centric, On Fortnite you shouldn't be using afterburner for FPS you should use Fortnite's in built one. I'm using an I7 12700K with Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770 and I get 90-200 FPS. EDIT: That is on performance mode though. EDIT 2: On direct X 12 I get 30-40 but sometimes drops to 25.

I'm stuck between Asus ROG Strix G16 and Lenovo Legion Pro 5i. Can you help? Asus: i7-13650HX, RTX 4060, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM Lenovo: i7-13700HX, RTX 4060, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM. Which one should I choose? Both are similarly priced in my country. However, I've heard about Asus having a CPU heating issue. Could you compare them in terms of material quality, cooling, display, and performance? I am an architecture student, mainly using 3D programs and occasionally playing AAA games.

From only the information you posted here, the Lenovo has a better CPU, more storage, and everything else is the same. But, there isn't much information to go on from your post, besides the processor. Keep in mind that the mobile versions of the 40 series GPUs are NOT the same as the desktop versions, and will be limited on power to reduce heat and power draw so you can not look at benchmarks of a desktop 4060 and think it applies 100% to a laptop.

Your Fortnite benchmark was very flawed because of your graphics settings. The biggest problem with those was having Nanite Virtualized Geometry turned on the whole time (and even high virtual shadows with it), that makes a BIG impact in fps and if you are aiming for competitive experience it should be turned off unless you have a high-end gpu. Also I would prefer using native resolution with TAA instead of 66% scaling with TSR, but I guess that doesn't matter so much fps wise. But anyway that +100 fps target of yours would have been easily achieved simply by disabling Nanite.
