This show is fully utilizing the staff and I like how the fight choreography incorporates the environment
Just wish the staff was a bit smaller because even when starman had it it looked way to long and it takes away so much mobility when it's 10 feet long or something
Huff productions I never noticed it’s size but I rather it be too big than too small I feel like that would be more awkward
@@bronzeabe7757 it would be definitely awkward if that was the case but I mean it COULD be a little smaller cause look at how much you're limited in a fight with it I mean it wouldn't hurt to take off a few feet or something

Kind of sad Crusher is a bad guy, it's pretty funny seeing him be so casual with Pat. You'd almost swear they were just buddies messing around.
Isn't Sportmaster is a bad guy though, was he different in the comics or the young justice league animated show?

I think part of him actually liked pat
I can relate to Barbara thinking the fight was amazing. Realizing your kid is truly amazing, not by a loving parent's standard, but on an epic standard would be truly amazing to a parent.

I love that Barbara did a pretty good job evading Tigress for those first few seconds. Impressive considering she's a civilian with no combat training.
The truth is that they both could've easily just killed them right at the start, but like they said later in the episode "where's the fun in that. They always like to play with their food first.
Mike stabbed sportsmaster on the back similar to how Rusell used a Leafblower at Charles Muntz face
Sportsmaster is just hilarious he is beating the shit out of pat while teaching him to throw a punch properly then compliments his robot and always calls him bud the guy is just hillarious

@@Huff-Productions I don't he has super strength. I think he's stronger than Pat maybe even other humans. And for Tigress she has incredible agility and durability. Such as she's doing these incredible acrobatics stunts that allow her to keep up with Wildcat and survive a blast from the cosmic staff

1. *_Comic-Pat vs. live-action Pat_** ~* My one major gripe with this fight-scene, and in-general with this series, is how live-Pat is portrayed in comparison to comic-Pat...
- a.) Comic-Pat (as Stripesy) was a capable melee fighter in his own right, going head-on with many foes, from criminal thugs, to Nazi agents & troopers (comic-Stripesy was a Golden Age hero), to even (low-tier) metahumans. It was only after comic-Pat retired from super-heroics, that he later took up the battle-suited persona of S.T.R.I.P.E.; because he knew he was long past his physical prime to be able to protect his (step-)daughter Courtney (as Stargirl). And yet, even as S.T.R.I.P.E., comic-Pat could still throw, and _take,_ a punch or three when caught outside his S.T.R.I.P.E. exo-suit. I really wish they had kept that (comic-)aspect for live-Pat, it would have positively added towards his _"veteran super-hero"_ theme.
- b.) The funny thing is, even if they _HAD_ keep that melee-capable (comic-)aspect about comic-Pat for live-Pat, Pat *STILL* would have gotten his ass handed to him by Sportsmaster. Comic-Pat may have been a capable melee fighter, but Sportsmaster was a melee fighter on a much higher tier than Pat's capability (example: comic-Sportsmaster is capable of, and _HAS,_ fought *Deathstroke* to a standstill.)
2. (2:01) *_Cosmic "Sidekick" (staff)_** ~* I have greatly enjoyed how the Cosmic Staff has a semi-sentience of its own, it really adds to Courtney's character, as Stargirl's _"sidekick."_ Likewise, it also makes fighting Tigress far more believable, because Tigress is having to fight "multiple" opponents (the Staff and Courtney); one-on-one, Tigress would have easily overpowered Courtney, and we were already getting that angle with Sportsmaster vs. live-Pat.
3. (3:19) *_Cliche_** ~* Conversely, I completely disliked how Barbara takes out Tigress with a vase to the head. Oldest cliche in the (TV media) book. Barbara may as well have been wearing an apron and oven mitts. *;
is sportmaster superhuman? i thought he was a trained fighters, the way he pushed pat to the wall i was shooked

No. I can only guess it’s technique
Sportsmaster is basically at the peak of human physical abilities. In a nutshell that means all his physical skills, speed, strength, reflexes and flexibility are at the same level if not higher than an Olympic athlete. As such he can do things the average person can't do.
*@Syed Azeen ~* In the comics, and reasonably certain for here too, Sportsmaster and Tigress are *NOT* metahumans, or enhanced humans (cyborgs, bio-implants/-boosts, etc.). On the other hand, they are...
- a.) Olympic-level physical fitness
- b.) Highly trained assassins
- c.) Combat-experienced fighters
But also take into account this is ultimately meant to be a Super-Hero story/series, so they also need to be pretty overt about showing over-the-top effects to push that theme, so adding _"kung-fu"_ physics to the non-metahumans combats is also needed. *;)*

I like that huntress didnt drop from getting hit with pottery in the head, she just flinched confused. It was more of a, "did you just hit me?"

- Stargirl is the star of this show, but Pat is the glue that holds it together.
- Barbara smashing that pot over the Tigress' head reminds me of what happened to (the alternate) Mr. Spock in the Star Trek TOS episode "Mirror, mirror" big fight scene, except that didn't quite stop the bad lady. Gave Courtney time to set up, though.
- Wonder how much Crusher's actor had to practice that "bat bounce"? Excellent touch.
- I, too, am rooting for Mike to become the next "(Whoever) Thunder". And I'd be surprised if he somehow doesn't have to do so against Solomon Grundy. Thun vs. Grun.
I think maybe he and Jakeem become a sorta Thunder Duo. Like both are Ytz’s master.
...though I definitely kinda wanna see Thunderbolt look at Pat and scoop him up in a big hug... and then drag everyone into it. Be kinda like Aladdin’s genie :P

If you watch closely a 3:10 and at x0.25, you will notice how the stuntman for crusher actually prepared to flip for the hit and how the drill hole on his back is gone, but otherwise, this is an amazing show.

Well against sport master his punches hit like paper but with Courtney’s dad he knocked him out in one punch
Im not gonna lie , the fight scenes in this series make me want to watch . all though the character that was jumpin off the day alls was movin way to slow , everything else was great

He’s in peak physical condition. Although I think they are going for a bit of a Metahuman angle with this version.
In the comic he is in peak physical condition, trained in most physical exercises including martial arts and has phonographic reflexes (can copy any physical move after seeing it I.e. if he saw do a back flip he could do it too without any training).
Lazy Shark He only looks good because hes going up against characters who aren’t even trained.
