You are a real person with real dirty dishes that have to be cleaned. And children’s book bags and lunch boxes that come home from school looking as if they’d worked hard all day. I live in western South Dakota in the Black Hills area. Our weather also has been very interesting. Today it is currently 95 degrees which is very warm this early, but last week it was only 45 degrees for a high and Memorial Day weekend is supposed to be 50s and 60s! South Dakota is known as the land of infinite variety which also refers to the rapid weather changes we experience. Love your patriotic porch!

Lauren your porch looks so inviting. I live in North Carolina and our weather has been so unpredictable also. We’ve had a couple days in the 90’s and then days in the 60’s. We spend a lot of time on our front porch also. We have wicker rockers,a love seat and six chairs all of wicker. The name of our little town is Faith. We are known for our Fourth of July celebration. The Saturday night before the fourth we kick it off with a street dance with a live band. That week we have amusement rides in our park and our civic clubs take turns cooking and selling food each night. Also different bands perform free of charge each night of the week. Then on the day of the fourth there is a parade. That afternoon there are old fashion games and a baseball game. Then it ends with fireworks.

For Memorial Day and the 4th of July, my husband places a lot if flags in the front yard, including flags for the POWs and the MISs. He is a veteran, so all the servicemen and women and veterans have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for sharing!
This cheered me up. Our friend passed away after her battle with cancer last weekend. She and her husband are US Veterans. We won’t be celebrating the holiday this weekend as my husband will be traveling to the funeral 😢but seeing your pretty decorations let me celebrate a bit.

I live in northern NJ and the weather is also up and down 90s then 70s. We have a wrap around porch connected to a 62 ft. Deck in the back. I love it. We have a barrel roof over our porch. I clean it everyday when I come home from work. Just tidy it everyday so it's not so dirty and it's kept very clean all the time. Very very much a neat freak with my stuff as well. We have several seating areas. With loveseat cushioned chairs in areas with outdoor rugs and fire tables. On my railings I have beautiful black long Winchester railing pots, about 20 of them all along railing from front to back on deck. They have beautiful supertunia of white and pink that spills over them. Love love decorating and cooking. 4 years and I'll retire and can spend more time doing all that I love. I know I’m a little late here, but I also love the Americana theme for summer time. I think it makes sense starting with Memorial Day and ending with Labor Day. I am similar to you where traditions and decorating for the seasons and holidays are so important to me! As a kid I remember going to school and loving how they would change the bulletin boards every month and theme them around holidays or seasons. I wanted that for my kids too.
Love how your front porch turned out! Just finished decorating our front porch with patriotic decor. We also had stumps from a large oak tree we lost during Hurricane Laura. My husband is dragging them to the front of the deck to plant some flowers in the hole that went all of the way through the center of the tree. He also discovered a partial cedar tree floating in the bayou. Perfect for planting flowers inside the large hole in the center of the tree. My husband also planted some white hydrangeas in two large white planters. We are having shrimp burgers grilled on the gas grill tonight. Tomorrow night I’m going to try to make homemade pizza on my new pizza stone.

68 degrees, slight breeze in Kennesaw GA (north GA). Humidity will be here soon, so I am enjoying this weather! I usually decorate with lemons and honey bees in my kitchen and dining (they are open to each other). The living room is done in a pineapple theme to signify our Southern hospitality. I had a cute porch at our previous farmhouse in Maine and a screened in building off our patio that we spent alot of time in. Now that we are in Florida it's the lanai and my pool :) I swim every day here. But it does get hot in Florida so we head back home to Maine for a few weeks with our lab Bella and rent a camp on the lake. Love going home. I miss my friends so much. Next week we head to your area for wine tastings! It looked warm there lately but temps going back to the 70s when we arrive so that will be nice :) Your porch always looks great!

Hi Lauren, I'm in San Diego, CA. Weather here has been nice in the 70's except same as up there, can be strange with temps in the high 80's/low 90's and then in the 60's and windy and raining. But love it here. Can't wait for summer and will be getting my backyard ready. We have an enclosed patio and pool so love to get everything decorated. I go with the blue and aqua colors for my backyard and patio. We don't have a porch so nothing to decorate but during Halloween and Christmas we decorate our front yard as well as indoors. I love your porch and your patriotic decor is spot on. I like the navy and stars mat on top of the red and white. It is perfect. Always get excited when I see you have posted. Hello from Miami, Florida. I’m a new subscriber and have been binge watching your videos. I love them. So summers in Florida are extremely hot and humid. We love to go to the beach in the late afternoon, have dinner there and watch the sunset. It’s amazing. We also take advantage of the mornings but from 11am to 4pm is too hot to do anything. We have an entryway, not a front porch and I decorated with flowers and potted plants for summer. I add flags and a few decorations for the 4th of July. My back porch is where we hang out and it is filled with plants, flowers and a porch swing. I love it!

And then a patio table and chairs. We have 2 huge, tilting umbrellas because it gets so hot and sunny here. South eastern Wyoming here! We have an older home as well and don’t have much of a porch (wish we did). I’ll be putting up a bunch of flags, patriotic wreath, and planting flowers here real soon. In our area we have a longer winter so I usually wait until June to plant. Almost that time can’t wait! I’ve been waiting for your Summer porch decorate - you always give us so much inspiration! It’s been so windy (and dusty!) in Houston this Spring that I didn’t even attempt to clean our patio till last week. I found a great cleaner on Amazon for my wicker furniture and got everything nice and fresh with new cushions and flowers. Timing was perfect because we had a little cool front this week and I was able to enjoy breakfast and lunch outside twice. Now we’re back in the 90s - ugh!!! Love how your front porch turned out! Just finished decorating our front porch with patriotic decor. We also had stumps from a large oak tree we lost during Hurricane Laura. My husband is dragging them to the front of the deck to plant some flowers in the hole that went all of the way through the center of the tree. He also discovered a partial cedar tree floating in the bayou. Perfect for planting flowers inside the large hole in the center of the tree. My husband also planted some white hydrangeas in two large white planters. We are having shrimp burgers grilled on the gas grill tonight. Tomorrow night I’m going to try to make homemade pizza on my new pizza stone.

I’m in East Texas and the past 3 days we’ve had unseasonably cool weather!!! Last week it was already 97 degrees , this week in the 70s and 80s. 😃 overnight it was in the 50s. I’m so happy!!!
68 degrees, slight breeze in Kennesaw GA (north GA). Humidity will be here soon, so I am enjoying this weather! I usually decorate with lemons and honey bees in my kitchen and dining (they are open to each other). The living room is done in a pineapple theme to signify our Southern hospitality. I had a cute porch at our previous farmhouse in Maine and a screened in building off our patio that we spent alot of time in. Now that we are in Florida it's the lanai and my pool :) I swim every day here. But it does get hot in Florida so we head back home to Maine for a few weeks with our lab Bella and rent a camp on the lake. Love going home. I miss my friends so much. Next week we head to your area for wine tastings! It looked warm there lately but temps going back to the 70s when we arrive so that will be nice :) Your porch always looks great!

Hi Lauren, I'm in San Diego, CA. Weather here has been nice in the 70's except same as up there, can be strange with temps in the high 80's/low 90's and then in the 60's and windy and raining. But love it here. Can't wait for summer and will be getting my backyard ready. We have an enclosed patio and pool so love to get everything decorated. I go with the blue and aqua colors for my backyard and patio. We don't have a porch so nothing to decorate but during Halloween and Christmas we decorate our front yard as well as indoors. I love your porch and your patriotic decor is spot on. I like the navy and stars mat on top of the red and white. It is perfect. Always get excited when I see you have posted. So far we have had early warm weather and the perfect amount of rain mixed in. 🌦 Right now we are moving to a new house with a similar porch and entryway, when our previous porch was too small. Hi Lauren! My decor pieces for summer is teal and white with summer florals. 🌸 Then I will decorate for the 4th of July and leave that up for July. Then go back to the teal and white for the rest of the summer till September and then I will do Sunflowers and darker Fall colored florals. 🌸 The porch looks so nice! 🌸

I particularly loved the white wreath with the pinwheels inside! How very cute! I do red/white/ and a purple blue on the porch for the summer....red/white geraniums with purple/blue lobelia and patriotic decor. I do more vibrant pink variety of florals on the back deck.

Hello from Miami, Florida. I’m a new subscriber and have been binge watching your videos. I love them. So summers in Florida are extremely hot and humid. We love to go to the beach in the late afternoon, have dinner there and watch the sunset. It’s amazing. We also take advantage of the mornings but from 11am to 4pm is too hot to do anything. We have an entryway, not a front porch and I decorated with flowers and potted plants for summer. I add flags and a few decorations for the 4th of July. My back porch is where we hang out and it is filled with plants, flowers and a porch swing. I love it!
Here in Minnesota it is currently 70 degrees. It’s been very cold here so loving it.
I absolutely love that huge rug on your front porch. Absolutely beautiful. We just purchased a new outdoor sectional for our deck. We have a small, gas firepit in the center. And then a patio table and chairs. We have 2 huge, tilting umbrellas because it gets so hot and sunny here.

I live at the the New Jersey Shore. I have two chairs with a small table in between and a large green fern in a black urn. I have a small black garden wagon with blue hydrangea and yellow flowers. The weather hasn’t been too hot yet but Memorial Day will be 90. Looking forward to seeing my son in Northern New Jersey. It’s the mountain area very scenic

I travel to Kissimmee Florida three (3) times a year to visit Hobby Lobby to buy decorative items to make my decorations beautiful as yours. My daughter in laws is delighted with it also. Next coming November we will be traveling to Michael's and Kirkland to see the beautiful everything they've have in the stores. South eastern Wyoming here! We have an older home as well and don’t have much of a porch (wish we did). I’ll be putting up a bunch of flags, patriotic wreath, and planting flowers here real soon. In our area we have a longer winter so I usually wait until June to plant. Almost that time can’t wait! I started following you because my style is very similar I love mixing antique Victorian inspired things with new things. I’m definitely not a minimalist lol. It’s been so windy (and dusty!) in Houston this Spring that I didn’t even attempt to clean our patio till last week. I found a great cleaner on Amazon for my wicker furniture and got everything nice and fresh with new cushions and flowers. Timing was perfect because we had a little cool front this week and I was able to enjoy breakfast and lunch outside twice. Now we’re back in the 90s - ugh!!!

I planted flowers on my porch and added small American flags to each container. My husband and I love to sit on the porch in the afternoon and enjoy a cocktail in our swivel rocker chairs.
