For me it’s the convenience- I was without a washer for a few months last year following a flood and HATED going to the launderette!
I have an apartment and I was just wondering if I purchased this Panda portable dryer and stuck the hose out of the window as it says to do will there be any lints or debris going outside of the window because I do have neighbors and I don't want them to complain about a lint problem
Sorry for all the comments, just one more thought or share I guess - this is the year that I've decided to begin changing out my wardrobe and linens to ones made with microfibers and lighter weight materials that can be dried much faster, including while hanging outside on a line. I think that I'll begin with purchasing bath and kitchen towels that are microfiber, and then switching my capris to polyester type materials like hiker's wear. I figure that during the Winter months, I can be much more strategic in the purchase of warmer articles clothing that can be worn underneath my lighter weight clothing, most likely thermals and flannels; I have found that thermals and flannels dry very quickly whether in a dryer or out on a clothesline in a good breeze with sunshine. Have you tried any of these things yet?
you can keep the hot air in your home (it's like a blow dryer), in the summer, probably vent it. I have a big storage room I use in the summer to dry and it vents into that, but in the winter, I allow it to vent in my home.
@Danielle B do you vent your electric hair blow dryer? It's the same. There are NO toxic fumes, like there are in a gas dryer, or a gas stove. Think about it. The electric plug in heaters don't need to be vented, nothing electric does.
Yes I had a panda washer didn't last more then 3yrs maybe 4yrs my issue with panda is customer service is almost none existent. I say buy the extra warranty with off brands.
Yes your right about 3 years with these machines as the portable twin washing machines tend to only last for about 1-2 years, whether deluxe or not. The spin dryer goes first on these machines. I love them but, have had 3 and all the spin dryers die roughly within a year or two no matter how careful you are with loading or whether you limit use. I don't think there designed to last with or without heavy use. I now have a small portable washer without a spin dryer, came this week. From experience the signal portable washing machines tend to last a little longer, if they tend to have one function. For me I saved lots by the time the previous machines packed up, sold my deluxe as is and the other two I binned, I know a waste, but too much bulk for one function and a lot of hassle to post as is. As people don't always want to collect. I like the look of the dryer but wouldn't invest in one, until they come out with one that lasts past 1-3 years. I live in a small apartment so understand why these are appealing also the amount you save at the laundrette. They just need to make all these portable machines more robust.
I've had the big samsungs, ge, whirlpool, maytags die in 2 years. I'm on 17th dryer in 25 years. I'm getting these little ones so I can start tossing them out the window when they die.

I bought mine 3.5 and I had it mounted on the wall . Love it. If none of this works it is under warranty for a year contact them , get a replacement asap.
Thank you for the follow up, I bought one last week after I watched your video and just got it yesterday. Haven’t used it yet I do have a question about the vent hose- do you vent it out the window? Also do you need to replace it about once a year?
Thank you for watching! Yes, I just vent it out the window and I never have issues :) I don’t replace the hose. I just needed to replace the filter because I accidentally ripped it (tried to vacuum it) 😅
Julia Caban I got it yesterday and used it today, I’m not sure if maybe I got a defective model or something - but I put in three small shirts and a small towel and put it on the hottest setting and it took almost 40 minutes 😢 is that normal ?
@@JuliaCaban - I have only ever used a vacuum to clean my filter, and after four years of weekly use, the filter is still like new. You just have to make sure you use the hose-only portion of the vacuum and make sure the filter is laying on a flat surface (just the filter, removed from the plastic casing) and that you use your other hand to hold it down so that it doesn't move.
Hi, Monica - If you can't easily put the dryer near a window to vent it, you can purchase an indoor vent that uses water (in addition to the vent hose). That's what I use, and it works great. On a nice day when it's not too hot, I do like to vent it out the window. But if it's rainy or stifling hot from the summer heat, I just prefer to use the water-filtered indoor vent, and it works great. You do have to be careful not to tip it over, or the water will spill out the little drawer. When I'm finished using the dryer, I disconnect the hose, empty the water out of the filter, and put the hose and filter (still connected to each other) inside the dryer, then tuck it back under my (home office) workstation/desk, where it fits nicely and is hidden behind decorative fabric.
@@insocal4891 yes, its only 700 watts.take that thick filter out. I have no idea why she uses that, then puts it on low and it has to run a LONG TIME. I took the thick filter off (that might have just been for shipping?), set it on high and its nice and hot and drys clothes great.
I didnt knowyou ad to buy filters. Im looking nto buying bth waher and dryer. How much are filters ? Please tell me. Also what do u use for a washer? Thank you for video!
I see mixed answers in your affiliated links in regards to what can be fit in this machine, does a queen-sized comforter fit in there, and if so, how long would it take to dry it off completely? Thanks !
@@JuliaCaban Thanks, my comforter is about I would say 3/8 an inch at most if compressed with hands, it fluffy its more like an inch or so. I believe. Havent measured it but that seems about right. Do you think it would work?
Hi Julia! Thanks for sharing...did you buy a higher capacity dryer than your washing machine the Black and decker? Can you explain why or how you manage the lower capacity in the washer and then use the dryer? Thanks.
Hi, Joseph - I have the same dryer, and all the portable mini dryers are pretty much the same size. So to answer your question - no, it would not be suitable for a heavy king-size blanket. I have put a fairly lightweight queen-size blanket in it for a few minutes to fluff it up after it is almost dry from hanging over my door. But I would not expect to actually dry the blanket in there from a soaking-wet state because it is just too crammed. It's great for pretty much anything and everything else though! See my note to Julie in my previous post regarding tips for shortening the drying time. :)
Lol save up for a house and sleep on a queen sized bed instead. It is a dryer suitable for apartment spaces, RVs and trailer homes...all of which would NOT even fit a king sized bed...?? What a dumb
@@shelle3944 how would an apartment not fit a king sized bed, and do you know some people may have a smaller bed and like larger blankets??? Why do you come off as such a jerk?!? Go sit down somewhere and chill TF out 😂🤣
I already bought a portable washer so I might as well go the distance and get one of these, too, to replace the clothesline I have strung across my bathtub. (My towels feel like sandpaper LOL!). One question: How do you vent the dryer? Is it noisy to run?
I’m trying to buy the same model portable dryer but I can’t find the exact one you have I only find the one with the buttons at the bottom please help.
I've been looking into the dryer and washer a lot. But I cant seem to find if this is good for people with kids and if so how many clothes per load? This would save so much money 😅
I just got a panda dryer and I put it on hot but it doesn't even feel warm. Does yours get hot or warm? Just wondering bcuz it isn't gas will it even warm up.
My machine does get warm overtime (if it's set on hot and running for a few hours). It shouldn't feel hot/warm soon after starting. The inside tho will be hot.
Just out the window - it comes with a dryer vent and I placed the dryer next to the window so it's super easy - I always keep the vent facing out the window.:)
Hi & wonderful video! We are “Empty Nesters”, ready to downsize to an apt that unfortunately, does not have washer/dryer in unit (even in building). Can you tell me the wattage? Just want to make sure typical electrical outlets will run it (and the Panda washer). I’m in Canada & I’m just starting to do my homework on these wonderful options! TY & ps...Do you think they would be real for RV’s too, b/c I think we’d take them on the road with us. 😂 Your video was awesome! TY!
Thank you, hopefully this is still available!!! Watched videos where products weren't available still, but still got a general idea of what to expect, just hoping to catch it available 😂
I’m happy to hear that!:) It’s not that hard to change the filter - just take off the plastic lid and filter is right there - you will find the exact instructions (with pictures) in manual that you will get with the dryer - so don’t worry, everything will be explained :)
Hi, vanh - The filter should last you a long time if you take care of it. My original filter is still going strong after four years. I just lay it down flat on the countertop (after removing it from the plastic case) and use the hose-only portion of my vacuum to clean it after every load. Works like a charm! I also ordered extra filters on Amazon when I first got the dryer, but I've not had to use them yet. You can find them easily on Amazon if you such search for Panda filters. Here's a set that is only $7.94 for four filters: www.amazon.com/Exhaust-Filter-Sonya-Panda-Dryer/dp/B00DYZ1P4I/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=panda+dryer+filter&qid=1591579245&sr=8-8
I suggest you take that heavy filter off and use the screen filter only. I dont understand why she uses that, it just limits the drying. I think it may have been just for shipping
2 o’clock to 6 o’clock and my socks and underwear are still not dry in the dryer and it’s only a couple pair of each. The dryer is not even half full. Something has to be wrong I’m sending mines back. My shirts and thermal pants I’ve dried on the vent in 15 minutes. It’s pointless for me to even have it especially in the winter time I can just put my clothes on the vents.
It doesn't look very 'mini' to me. I have a much smaller one. Why would anyone ask if it's still working after only 1year. Mine is still going after 27 years. It's White Knight a really cheap brand in UK from a well know cheap catalogue store, Argos. I certainly hope you dryer kasts at least another 9 years. 😊
they have a smaller size! but I wanted a more of a regular size - the difference is that you can plug it to a regular outlet, for other dryers you need NEMA outlet
I guess this is good if you permanently live in a small space, but for those prices...babaaaaaaay. I can save $100 to add with it and get me a good scratch and dent lol. But kudos to you and anyone else who can afford this because this one will not lol
I just did my math, I spend $30 a week for laundry. For the whole year, that's $1,400+. With that price I can buy a washer and dryer!!

where did you buy the filter inside on amazon? Can you send link? Thank you!
I linked it in the description:) ▸ Filters for the dryer

I didnt knowyou ad to buy filters. Im looking nto buying bth waher and dryer. How much are filters ? Please tell me. Also what do u use for a washer? Thank you for video!
I linked it in the description:) I use black and decker washer. Thank you for watching!
Hey, thanx for the review. Can you tell me the exact model of your washer, DONT want to buy the newer one.
The model is listed in the description and I also linked the exact dryer :)
So you just clean the lint filters or they have to be replaced?
I just clean them but when they’re no longer good I replace them
Does it take wrinkles out of clothes is it wrinkle free where u dont have to steam or iron clothes?
Yes it does! One of the reasons I wanted to get it in the first place :) thanks to this dryer I don’t have to steam or iron my clothes
I am ordering one!! Thank you!!
Yay! I hope you will love it as much as I do :)
I see mixed answers in your affiliated links in regards to what can be fit in this machine, does a queen-sized comforter fit in there, and if so, how long would it take to dry it off completely? Thanks !
It’s because it depends how thick the comforter it. I dried a king size quilt no issues but it wasn’t as thick as a comforter
@@JuliaCaban Thanks, my comforter is about I would say 3/8 an inch at most if compressed with hands, it fluffy its more like an inch or so. I believe. Havent measured it but that seems about right. Do you think it would work?

I wanted to see the set up and the connection too
This is just a one year review but I can record a setup for this dryer if you’re interested! Let me know :)
@@JuliaCaban yes please!!🥰🤗💛
@@JuliaCaban Yes I'm very interested in the setup video too please//
Very helpful - THANK YOU!
Glad it was helpful!:)
Hi Julia! Thanks for sharing...did you buy a higher capacity dryer than your washing machine the Black and decker? Can you explain why or how you manage the lower capacity in the washer and then use the dryer? Thanks.
Hi! I have a 3.5 cu ft dryer because it dries faster than the smaller models :)
@@JuliaCaban That makes sense! Thank you so much.
hi Julia. what's the wattage of this dryer?
700 watts, in retrospect, I wish I had purchased the other brands that are 1700 watts. I recommend you get one of them, they are the same price
Hi Julia, we just bought this dryer & our clothes come out smelling like grease. Does this smell go away?
Mine didn’t have that issue. I would contact the store or manufacturer. That doesn’t sound right to me.
Can this fit a king size heavy blanket ? I want one so bad after owning a magic chef smaller version .. thank you for the review
What a dumb
Michelle Gonzalez I was just asking no need to be rude
@@shelle3944 how would an apartment not fit a king sized bed, and do you know some people may have a smaller bed and like larger blankets??? Why do you come off as such a jerk?!? Go sit down somewhere and chill TF out 😂🤣
Michelle Gonzalez You’re being mean. In addition to being wrong. I live in an apartment and I have a CA King bed.
I already bought a portable washer so I might as well go the distance and get one of these, too, to replace the clothesline I have strung across my bathtub. (My towels feel like sandpaper LOL!). One question: How do you vent the dryer? Is it noisy to run?
I just place it right next to the window. It's not super loud - I can still work in the same room while its running.
Julia Caban Thanks, Julia. Just ordered one!
How do you clean the vent inside
I’m trying to buy the same model portable dryer but I can’t find the exact one you have I only find the one with the buttons at the bottom please help.
They get sold out quickly, but it should come back in stock very soon: amzn.to/2WDngZs / rstyle.me/+tWcwzwXinpIiDgeVNemJIg
I've been looking into the dryer and washer a lot.
But I cant seem to find if this is good for people with kids and if so how many clothes per load? This would save so much money 😅
Hey! In this video I showed how much you can fit in it: ruclips.net/video/rn7fuX33h_8/видео.html :)
@@JuliaCaban thank you sm 🥺💛💛
Where did you vent the dryer?
Out the window that is next to the dryer
Julia Caban could you show in a video? Please I need to have an Idea. Thanks
I vent mine out my window too
I just got a panda dryer and I put it on hot but it doesn't even feel warm. Does yours get hot or warm? Just wondering bcuz it isn't gas will it even warm up.
My machine does get warm overtime (if it's set on hot and running for a few hours). It shouldn't feel hot/warm soon after starting. The inside tho will be hot.
@@JuliaCaban thank you maybe mine is defective.
how do you vent the dryer?
Just out the window - it comes with a dryer vent and I placed the dryer next to the window so it's super easy - I always keep the vent facing out the window.:)
Can you dry blankets in it?
Yes you can!
@@JuliaCaban thank you so much for replying☺
Hi & wonderful video! We are “Empty Nesters”, ready to downsize to an apt that unfortunately, does not have washer/dryer in unit (even in building). Can you tell me the wattage? Just want to make sure typical electrical outlets will run it (and the Panda washer). I’m in Canada & I’m just starting to do my homework on these wonderful options! TY & ps...Do you think they would be real for RV’s too, b/c I think we’d take them on the road with us. 😂 Your video was awesome! TY!
120v - just like any other regular devices and small appliances:)
@@JuliaCaban aw, TY so very much sweetie! I sincerely appreciate that! :)
You made a very helpful video thanks
Thank you! ☺️❤️
Thank you, hopefully this is still available!!! Watched videos where products weren't available still, but still got a general idea of what to expect, just hoping to catch it available 😂
I recently updated links in description so it should be available - please check it out :)
How much is the power consumption of this Dryer?
I made a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/zvPQtLgDBdQ/видео.html
What kind of dryer sheets do you use?
I use Meyers dry sheets basil scent:)
Can you dry blankets/sheets
Yes you can
Do your clothes have a slightly burnt smell after?
No, never! Even when I let it run in the dryer for a few hours
Julia Caban how much can you fit into the dryer? Like towels or jeans? How long does it take to dry? Do you feel your electric bill is a lot higher?
How do u replace the filter I order the washer n dryer after I watched your video so excited wait til June to deliver thanks
Austria?
hm?
How many pounds of laundry can go in it who makes it what brand what model and I still can’t see the side the way you shot this video
I linked it in the description:)
That is odd! Sorry to hear that :( My portable dryer was working as efficiently as regular sized dryer. Is the dryer vent placed outside your window?
Does this make your electric go up ?
Not that much actually! I made a separate video calculating the electricity the washer and dryer uses: ruclips.net/video/zvPQtLgDBdQ/видео.html
Do you vent it
Yes
@@JuliaCaban do you have to vent it
Does it dry jeans ?
Yes!
Is anyone having a problem with water leaking from under the dryer??
How do you vent it??
Out the window
@@JuliaCaban okay, thanks
@@JuliaCaban do we have to vent if we only use air dry cycle on it?
Throw a wad of aluminum foil in there to speed up your drying time, and fluff towel.
You're so pretty!
Oh thank you!
True! Mine is probably one of the biggest models they offer, but still 2x smaller than a regular dryer :)
У нас есть такая машина? В Узбекистане?!
♥Julia Caban
Not only is lint build up eventually going to make the machine not work properly but it’s a fire hazard
that's why you clean it out
Yall dont have no scratch and dent stores where you from you can buy a normal washer and dryer for 500 600 dollars
I am not seeing how this machine is ‘mini’?!? It looks the same size as most dryers, just takes a very small load. 😳
they have a smaller size! but I wanted a more of a regular size - the difference is that you can plug it to a regular outlet, for other dryers you need NEMA outlet
When you’re a single parent and the laundromat has roaches, this is the way to go. Amazon will finance it for 18 months if you can’t buy it outright.
I guess this is good if you permanently live in a small space, but for those prices...babaaaaaaay. I can save $100 to add with it and get me a good scratch and dent lol. But kudos to you and anyone else who can afford this because this one will not lol
