    I was planning on doing the hardware cloth method, but this seems much easier! Now all I worry about are above ground predators like squirrels. They dug up all my in-ground tulips immediately.

    Ive tried this method along with a 3 inch gravel barrier as a mulch and they still make their way through and devour my heucheras
