Very informative, thanks! Please do a video on overcoming the operating temperature limitations of the TAP module. Could it be mounted in a heated space and if yes, how far from panels? How close to the CCA unit is it required to be? Also, how does the CCA "log data"? Where and how is that achieved please.
This is an excellent suggestion! The TAP deserves its own tech tip video, but in the meantime our TAP datasheet answers some of your questions. The direct link is too long to post, but you can follow this link to our Downloads page and scroll down the Datasheet section. www.tigoenergy.com/downloads The TAP temperature range is -30 to 70C (-22 to 158F) which is very close to most of the TS4s. So, generally speaking, if the TS4s can be installed in your location then so can the TAP. Our Help Center articles get into more detail about TAP distance requirements, data logging, etc. You can always reach out to our sales engineering team by following this link: support.tigoenergy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4401866316307-Contact-Support TAP Basics: support.tigoenergy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4427970296083-TAP-Basics-What-is-a-TAP- TAP Layout requirements: support.tigoenergy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001532327-TAP-Placement-and-Layout-Requirements Mixing and Matching TS4s (TS4 Deployment) support.tigoenergy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024860193-TS4-Systems-Methods-of-Deployment
Hi, thanks for the clear videos. I have a question. With 1 CCA and 1 TAP, apart the quantity limity mentioned in the video, can I control the PV panel of two different installation? (the 2 installation are clearly on the same roof, but they belong on two different owner. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Question about the warranty. If there is downtime with the internet for whatever reason, it automatically becomes 5 years? Or is there like a time period in which it has to be reconnected for the full 25 years or do you to notify as soon as possible?? As it reads it is kinda impractical to have the 25 years warranty. It reads pretty much like a 5 year warranty.
Great question! Communication outages do not count. The intent of the warranty is to prevent people from installing the TS4-O or -S with no CCA and TAP. They call our support line because they think something is "wrong with the system." But without monitoring, we have no way to validate this.
@@Tigo_Flex_MLPE Ok, but what if the customer does not care about on-line monitoring and we have a contract to check the system for issues and maintenance every year. Could we bring the CCA and Tap and monitor the system? I understand that you can't see on-line what is happening, but after CCA were brought to the site? Because if let's say it is a small installation, there is a lot of extra cost and additional installation for the system.
The TS4-A-O must have a CCA and TAP for full warranty coverage. This allows full system visibility using the EI App and Portal. www.tigoenergy.com/monitoring

Do i need a cca and tap for each string of 8 panels i plan to add the ts4 optimiser/rsd to?

Your CCA 24V power supply is labelled "Output: 12 volt 1.25 amp". Why?
That is the rated output to the Tigo Access Point(s). Does that rating conflict with your application?
