In my opinion, the documentary includes so many details that can distract people from the main stream of the story. The series is suitable for someone who has already known about the main events of the war and wants to get to know more details about it, but not for someone who has no prior knowledge on the war. The documentary is comprehensive by the way, but it would be great if it concentrates on one aspect of the war (strategy) then you will create more documentaries about this war but on other aspects (soldiers, generals, military forces, weapons, etc.).

Heartbreaking ending for the Russian Empire and their hitherto gigantic war effort, but of course, it was in the same time a huge relief for Imperial Germany, and most of all, for the Dual Monarchy, which was on its last leg also. As for the Romanians, the series' assessment about them is unflattering, but well deserved. I know no other European entity, which is despised so much than this. All their neighbors dislike them, as well as numerous other countries further away, who had experience with them, and were on the receiving end to their customary unreliability and treachery. Not even their chief ally France, who they admire endlessly, esteem them much. Their undying love affair for France, is a strictly one sided affair. Hopefully these dogs' comeuppance, will happen sometimes in the future.

Amidst all the obvious russian propaganda (I mean, it’s a state-run television channel, even if they tried NOT to be biased it would be very hard, specially in a country like Russia), TIL that there was an expeditionary force to France

The comments here about the 'useless' Italian army which was in the war in order to give Austria someone to beat highlight the level of false propaganda in this film. At the time of the Brusilov Offensive, Italy was about to launch the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo and indeed at the beginning of the year, the front was entirely on foreign soil - unlike Russia which had lost a huge amount of territory. Austria had previsouly launched an attack on the Assiago Plateau but it was called the Strafexpedition and was not meant to be anything more than that. The claim that Italy was on the verge of going under is complete nonsense.

If you are referring to the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo then I doubt that they could have pushed much further than Gorizia. I know the area quite well, it is very mountainous. Gorizia is just the foothills of the Julian Alps. As for the Twelfth Battle which you mention, I am sure that will be covered very well this time next year.
