    I have 2 Thermalright Peerless Assasin taming a 5900x and a 3950x running 100% load since the cold weather and they are doing a great job. Those were the first Thermalright cooler I ever used and surely not the last. • @evers6214
    @evers6214 Год назад +1

    I just bought one of these. I got the black non rgb version because the case it is in doesn’t have a transparent side panel but everything else about the cooler and included hardware was identical to what was pictured here. I got it because i was using the stock cooler on an old i7-3770 and was hitting 90c under load with the annoyingly loud fan maxed out. I needed something that fit the older intel lga1155 socket so went with this not expecting much for $20.
    First thing surprised me was the density of the fin stack…. Its much heavier than what I was expecting from such a budget price. Installed pretty straightforward no problem.
    Actually shocked by how well it works. Temps dropped from 90c to 51c and can’t hear it over my two case fans.
    Very, very satisfied.

      5800x is one of those CPUs that could use this and not be too bad, but the chips design and the single CCX means a lot of heat is generated so for me personally to really get a grip on temps i would be looking at a good 240mm aio really. But if you don't mind the temps peaking now and then this cooler will do the job most of the time

    With this cooler, the CPU gets a lot hotter and is not even under load...
    I wonder how much noise this much cheaper cooler makes. Not just what they say, it would be good if someone could actually measure it, with fan close to max speed.
    One of the reasons I still have destop PC's is that they are much quieter than (power) laptops.
