Thank you so much for posting this video. My husband & I will be visiting Labuan for a week in 2025, & it's nice to know what is there & what to expect when we get there. We're going over to search for my Grandfather's grave at the War Cemetery. We will be visiting Sandakan first, where he died on 6th June, 1945 at the POW camp after 3 long years of captivity.. He fought so hard to survive. His will be one of 288 specific 'unknown' graves that were exhumed from Sandakan and relocated to Labuan .. and I intend to respectfully kneel at the foot of each & every one of them and pay my respects - because one of those 288 graves is my Grandfather's final resting place. But we will be staying right in this area, so thank you!
That is such a beautiful gesture. I’m saying that as an ex British military man. The commonwealth graves are so looked after. I hope you have a genuinely lovely time 🙂
Good day, Stu! I’ve got a few videos of yours to catch up on! Hearing the plans, do you have plans to visit Laos and or Vietnam that one you had to leave early and one you hadn’t made it to from the previous travels? Hope all is going well in the meantime!
Unfortunately I haven’t been to many places with other people/backpackers. Plus after a full day of videoing, then a couple of hours editing. I want to forget about RUclips ha ha
Doesnt look like the most exciting place in the world Stu,but then I dont really rate Malaysia as a backpacking destination,Pennang and Cameron Highlands are nice but a whole bunch of more interesting countries in SE Asia as im sure you will show us.
So far my first impressions have been wrong :) so I’ll give the place a better look over with research lol… I’m looking forward to getting on the mainland :)

Doesn't matter. Malaysia is Still the second most visited country in south east asia. Thailand and malaysia are the king and queen of tourism.
