I live alone. I think if some body came over to my house to bring me a plate I would cry.
Wow! This really touches my heart!!!
I hope everybody that reads your comment takes a sec to leave you some love! 2021 is your year!!! God Bless!!!
2021 be better!!!
Hardest thing I have ever had to do was to ask for help . Once I did, the flood gates opened and was blessed ten fold. I now help those that helped me with my own knowledge and abilities. (can't cook but can shovel snow) It's never ending if we just ask and pay it forward!!
What state do you live in?
Justin I understand I live alone myself. I am still able to go some places but not all what state do you live in?
His mom's ending message was so sweet
Amen
yep
Such a blessed family. Love how Robert and Gabe keep their parents very close to them. Blessed are they for sure 🙏
So deep, amen

Kids with father figures like this can only be successful, one day they will know how lucky they are to have a dad like this.
For reals, looking at how he is with his family just made me sad about how shit my father is. Wish I had a father figure I could actually look up to instead of having one that I despise.
There's always a great wife behind a great father
No doubt.
Hopefully that’s true. I have the greatest dad in the world but so far I’ve been pretty disappointing. I plan on turning that around and making him proud though :)
fr wish my dad would come back with that milk already
You brilliant teacher, you pitched at the girl's level of understanding. I loved watching another Arrington dad teaching his girls.
This man is an incredible father. His teaching is clearly good, and he's teaching his girls when they're young all about this way of life. I can't compliment him enough for this. You are a fantastic father and a good role model for anyone who intends to follow in your footsteps one day.
Sarah is a good hunter too. She just avoids the limelight.
Well you know there's plenty of fathers including me who do the same, we just ain't putting it all on the internet.
Mom had me in tears with her speech at the end.
Me too!
Robert, I could not agree more the lesson you gave with the girls. About knowing what meat is, when you understand what meat is, you understand what life is. And when you understand what life is you respect it! 100% on target.
Love you guys
No doubt the best video you have done. We owe so much to our parents for what we now have and instill in our children!
Bill, knowing what life is does not teach the respect of it...your parents do.
@@squirrelgunsmith1131 and my dad taught me how to hunt it was part of the teaching, which is the point I was taking from Rob, It's not all one lesson man, and people learn respect for life in a number of places not just their parents.
Well said.
Just watched this video while looking for squirrel hunting/cooking tips. I didn't expect to end up watching such a wholesome video with touching messages and values. Thanks for sharing you and your family's story with us!
First time shooting with daddy. This is a moment a child will never forget. That's what it's all about ; making good memories with your family. 👍🏻
Those kids are lucky to have such a great parents. Teaching them the true ways of survival. They gonna grow up having great memories
Those kids are lucky that the squirrel didn't have a bubonic plague..
Yes Sir 👍 You got it 👍
My little brother got bit by a rabid squirrel on a field trip at San Antonio zoo. Git too close
Family is everything
Teach them to survive 😂 ? haaa all got X boxes at home and eating at MacDonald's
You being such a family man is what makes your channel so special
He has high Charisma points.
Just gained a lot more respect for this channel. This reminds me of all the time I’ve spent with my grandparents. We mostly hunted with squirrels dogs but the simplicity and down to earth brings it all home.
My heart is full to see you teaching your daughter the safety of hunting and fishing. That little Aria is a pearl, so rare and precious. Thank you deermeat for sharing your family life with me and the world.
I'm glad to see you teaching your children safety. My younger brother was shot on accident 20 years ago and I missed him badly. ❤
my condolences ❤️
I’m so sorry❤️
I know a very similar story. Truly tragic. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I’m sorry about that may him R.I.P
These girls are going to conquer the world when they grow up. They just don't raise 'em like this anymore. Much Respect. God bless.
No they are going to be pushed out of society and most likely end up in an asylum, who the hell teaches a child to harm and kill any animal unless they want them to be psychopaths. God bless America, sure needs it with people like this. Get this man a straight jacket
@@carolined5923 I'm assuming you are vegetarian or vegan?
@@684shilmido most likely
@@carolined5923 you say god bless but If you knew the first thing about god you would know he made animals to be respected, hunted, and eaten by human, get facts straight and come again, god bless and have a wonderful day
How I'm gonna raise both my little girls gonna know how to do most of this even if there dad is learning a little bit before them but I'm gonna teach them
Awesome video. I love how you get your children involved and teach them where their food comes from. I love how you and your mother interact. You have a beautiful family. Much love to you and yours.
Those words at the end from your mother was truly inspiring and brought a tear to my eye no one should have to Eva go without sending my love and blessing from Australia
Those kids are getting the best kind of life possible. Good Job!!
Rob is an amazing teacher, father, son, husband, and everything. He is an inspiration!
This is my favorite video you've done, live humble and be thankful for the family you have.
Awesome show and graceful family. Exceptional family manners and fenomenal morals. 🙏
“When you really understand what life is, you respect it”. In deed. Keep up the good work.

My gosh Aria is the cutest thing in the world. I have really enjoyed watching her and Emma grow up. Who else has been here from the beginning and got to watch them from the time they were born?
Didn't realize I had been watching this long 😭
I remember when those rugrats were born too
That’s really awesome!!! They are the best thing that could’ve ever happened to us!!!!
I really wish I could have..this is the first time I've seen a video from this family..will follow from here on out tho..I absolutely idol this family!..
Omg so amazing prayer at dinner time..I LOVE THESE GUYS.."here take this bite right here".."haa no I got my own I'll eat" lol...love it
Thank you for sharing your Family and Faith with us all!!
May God bless strengthen and protect you and your family!!
Love you guys!
I appreciate your family praying together before consuming the food.
You folks are the best. Keep on!
Never underestimate the impact you have being a positive influence on RUclips. Great father and a motivation to others. GOD bless rob and I wish you a great 2021.
seriously, my dad never took me fishing, he still hasn't come back from the store.
Love you guys! Man I didn't get the salad when I was a kid.
I need to come down there with you. I would love to fish and or hunt but I just want to a part of what you're doing
@@soldierpit56 We had a salad for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. That's all.
@@edmartin875 Yep same here… But when we did have a salad it was a jumbo salad with ham, turkey, cucumbers cherry tomatoes, sliced boiled eggs, grated cheese, croutons, and always with moms homemade ranch dressing… Now I’m craving a good salad Lol…🥗🍴
It was so nice to meet your Mom and Dad and to see how she cooked for you guys when you were kids. This is how my grandmother cooked for us. I do have two comments on this video. Even your Moms dinner plates are the same ones my Mom had. We prayed too always. And we ate at the dinner table never in front of the tv! Thanks so much for sharing this video. People need to see this way of living. God bless
This man has the picture perfect life and family. God bless you and your family Rob! We all love you great people!
“squirrels are pretty smart animals.”
gets shot at and doesnt move.
😂😂
I was like that one must have missed class a lot 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not that smart. Highly instinctive though. If they were smart I wouldn't have eaten so many.
It’s like the police always say. Well we don’t catch the smart ones
you just brought tears to my eyes. I miss the family I had, We had a small farm and my mom was the best cook, We raised our food , we all learned to help with the chores. I was chosen to milk to cow every morning. I still hate plucking chickens, that is why I raise rabbits, much easier to clean. Thank you and God bless you and your family.
Love squirrel 🐿️
I watched this video over and over again and I felt exactly the same way. I do miss my Dad, we use to go hunting, fishing and a bit of farming too. Do you have images of when you use to milk the cows? I would be glad to know more about your farming skills too.
We never had a cow but I raised a couple hogs. Our neighbor had 3 little kids and a cow. They paid me 10 cents a day to milk their cow. All of us kids (4 boys) did most of the garden chores.
I'm so glad that you take and teach your wonderful kids ❤ about life , nature, food and ofcourse family . God bless you all 🌺🌺❤❤
This was a really great episode, those kids will remember that for the rest of their lives.
Wish I had a Father like this growing up.

Robert scaring his mom was priceless. Lol She should have smacked him with that spatula.
Great start to 2021😂
He couldn't do it in his younger days,,now he can,,
Oh she was about to let’er fly!!! She didn’t show it, but she wasn’t overly thrilled with my joking around!!! 😂😂😂

Love you guys! What a blessing to watch, so much respect for you! Blessings to you all.
What a sweet message your mom delivered! You are blessed.
Hands down a great dad and an example to a perfect role model

I mean id argue that purchasing a deadly firearm for your 5-6 year old daughter is incredible irresponsible and should be illegal.

We grew up on a farm and raised everything we ate. Hunted everything.

My mother is from Blackshear. Watching your mom make that gravy, and stew that squirrel down reminds me of how she use to stew chicken, and how she taught me to cook. Thanks for doing what you do. Blessings to you and your family.
Super awesome video..!! So amazing to see the kids getting out there and getting shooting instructions and hunter safety .. raising those kids amazingly.. and teaching them about the outdoors..
Robert is So Humble, I have so much respect for him ✊
Your daughter's laugh after shooting warms my heart. Beautiful
That was a lot of fun watching this I grew up squirrel hunting in Waycross Georgia in the woods with a 22 they were very some of the best times I've ever had thanks to my dad
Good for you,You are doin the things for your kids that a lot of people dont do anymore,I know they will grow up to appreciate that immensely
Anyone else laugh at Robert hightailing it out of the kitchen, after scaring his mom? He was waiting for that spatula to come! I grew up in a home with 2 indian parents and every meal was home cooked! We knew what happened when you horsed around while mom or dad was cookin’!
Oh you’ve obviously been there!!! I was expecting something!!! 😂😂😂
I got a heart and a reply?! This new year is gonna be good! Now I just have to learn how to fish and hunt so that meeting the DMFD crew seems a little less like a dream!
I see why you are so foundationally well put together inside. The last few seconds of your mom speaking says it all! May the Lord continue to bless your family!
Hey Robert, I've been watching DMFD for years. Back when y'all had the resort in Florida. I've loved watching you throughout the years. From captaining the fishing boats to hunting in the swamps. This video brought me back to my childhood and how I grew up too. God bless you and your family. Thank you sir. You are a great inspiration for Family, Faith, and the love for the outdoors!
This video was a heart felt for me. Though I’m a traveling construction worker, it brought me home. Thank you, excellent job, lovely family, God Bless you all.
Robert, if all children had parents like you and Sarah, there would be no delinquency. TGBTG! Have a great 2021!

Loved my mom's flitters, salmon patties, fried chicken and everything else she cooked and put on the table. Great video 👍
Gotta try squirrel one day. Looked soooo good. Glad to see a healthy loving family. You’re very blessed. Keep building memories. (I know you are because I’m watching lots of your more recent stuff lol). Thanks for all you share and all you teach. I learn a lot. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
I’ve been watching all of your videos and when you said blackshear it blew me away! I am from Waycross. 10-15 min away. That is so awesome!
I think this is one of my favorite videos you’ve ever made. This is exactly how I grew up. I remember the sound of the pressure cooker growing up. This really makes my heart happy.
I love your show . You teach your children about hunting and how to always be safe. Also eat what you kill!
I called my son today he is ready to go hunting and fishing with me now. It's been many years sense we hunted together.
My grandfather grew cane on his little 80 acres. We had the best cane syrup ever. This brought back so so many memories. My daddy hunted squirrels when he was a kid, and that was the first thing I ever hunted with my 16 gauge as a child. Good good memories. Thank you!
Yes pan fried cornbread in our home in southern Virginia with fried fish and baked beans, my grandfather cooked us a muskrat to taste once, beautiful days. Thank you for the reminder of loving memories. 😊
Rob is such a great teacher, teaching gun safety first
He is great all around
Well I like the way you teach you’re children little girls how to eat to survive and how to forage for food and survival skills❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹p.s you’re daughters are very cute
I grew up this way with catch clean cook and family.. nowadays its kind of a lost tradition.. I love that this is still being taught to the young ... I love this and I love y'all!!!!!
I wish more people on this planet, including myself were more like your mom! This was a great video, but once I heard your mom say what she said, kinda turned into a tear jerker! Love your videos!
His momma ended the video with a very humble life lesson we should all take to heart ❤ God bless
Our squirrels here in North Georgia sound like a heard of deer coming through the woods when you deer hunt. Funny the deer make no noise as the will sneak up on you before you know it. I still have my kids .22 Chipmunk rifle they learned to shoot with. ......Awesome Memories
You're so right. This is my first year bow hunting deer here in NJ and just as the sun comes up there is always a ton of racket; and it's always squirrels. The deer surprise me every time. The squirrels at least keep me on my feet --they fool me every time thinking it's a deer lol
@@RUclipsr1g I have never seen a animal so small make so much noise like they do. Sometimes I just want to unload my 7 mag on them for getting my hopes up then letting me down. Lol
Rhubarb crumble and custard - takes me home every time. Love what you’re doing Robert!
Growing up, my grandmother would make squirrel, biscuits and gravy. Us boys squirrel hunted all fall and winter, because we loved it! My grandmother also made squirrel and dumplings. Paw paw also hunted quail, we ate a lot of quail too.
In the summer, we worked the farm. I've shucked a lot of corn, and dug a lot of potatoes.
We grew almost everything we ate, our own pork, chicken and beef.
Watching this brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for sharing this!
He said "it's like taking off socks " 🤣
That's right, skinning is like taking off 🧦 socks
"75 yords, with the ol magnum cricket... he aint goin no where!" Lmao!! Love it man
Beautiful family, beautiful video. I grew up in the NE of England, very much with the same philosophy.
It was good to see Rob interacting with his mom in the kitchen. I miss my mom so much and miss talking while cooking the most. I remember eating muskrats & chitterlings she. I was younger.
My mom had those same plates boy I miss her and my dad enjoy them while you can life is precious god bless
Yes, those Currier & Ives with their blue pattern were exceptionally popular after WW2. I still have the set my folks first bought when they got married in 1948.
Now that's a good dad. Patient and calm teaching his little ones.
You're mom.. she's the wisest person I've seen soo far.. love her🥰❤️
Gotta be my favorite channel to check in with. I rock with y’all, keep up the good work! God bless.

i always love going to grandma's and grandpa's house and eating a wholesome meal after hunting and fishing. The cooking part made me feel nostalgic thank you
Loved this video! I grew up in Southeast Mississippi and you really took me back home! We ate more stuff that we caught or killed than store bought! Your mom topped it all off and touched my heart! My mom had regular people that she took plates to! In fact, when Ever I was home I’d end up buying more plates because she would give them away with the food! God Bless!
Absolutely my favorite video on RUclips… this is what family is about.. in every way..
13:26 im laughing so hard, my boy was like:
“YO WHAT WAS THAT ... **looks back sees nothing** MAYBE IM JUST CRAZ..☠️⚰️
Man I love how you are a family man !!! “Here you go babe” props to you.. beautiful family you have.
Outstanding video. I did the exact same things with my children and it was extremely beneficial. This is the best way to teach them respect and responsibility. Thanks.
I love how you were teaching Aria the ways of Life. It was beautiful very educational RUclips channel.
This episode made my heart smile. Wonderful job on raising your daughters brother. 💯👍
Funny watching this... watching this in my “office” beside my bedroom looking out the window and watching a squirrel run down the sidewalk. He better watch out I’m starting to get some ideas.
For me it's my moms Christmas baking, She'd always have to make about 10 tins of treats for the rest of our family! Eating one of her treats reminds me of being a kid in my old house having Christmas dinner with my grandparents. My parents split and I know they're happier now but I still like to remember the good times! God bless!
Robert it’s good to see you in table with your mum and you children, it’s very good not to forget the sacrifices done all the parents for their children, all the best for 2021 🍻
Hey Robert you’re mom needs to start her own youtube channel on how to cook southern dishes. 👌
Beautiful family. Glad to see the girls learning great lessons of life. Happy New Year
Love you and your family buddy. Seeing the girls remind me of my childhood. Such a wonderful family❤️❤️👍🏻
First let me say, Robert, you and your wife are great parents. NOW let me say that I'm so JEALOUS of these girls to have such an awesome father figure to teach them. As a man that had to grow up without a father this episode really hit home for me, To see the JOY & Excitement in her eyes when she hit the target you can tell these moments will impact her life for all her years to come, and knowing how it feels to not have had this in my life as a child I SALUTE you ROBERT. You and your wife are truly good parents teaching them all the things needed to be God-loving & good people in a world not so good. Keep up the excellent work, and hopefully one day god will make a way for me to come visit you & your family and experience the thrill of the hunt or fishing & the goodness yall give out. thanks, brother ......
Amazing what a “switch” would make us do as kids. Lol. That’s the reason you are who you are today and why I am who I am today. Nice video. Love it.
OMG I have the same Currier and Ives plates and Griswold skillets in New York City. Great videos, thank you for the learning experience.
My favourite channel by far. So many facets in life to learn from in one video.
