Thank you. Glad it helped. Pls, like and share the video
Thank you Dr
Thank you very much
Thank you Dr.Okolie..
Multiple regression with a moderator, mediator, independent and dependent variable?
You will need to conduct a structural equation modelling or path analysis to achieve that.
I have a query. If I am performing binary logistic regression and there is a moderating variable in ordinal scale then do I have to do mean centered for that moderating variable (in ordinal) too before interaction. Although I have mean centered to my Independent variable which is in matric scale. Please enlighten.
Thank you. Maybe, this video can help you ruclips.net/video/5v30M_I5eQM/видео.html
hey! is it possible to run a multiple linear regression with 3 independent variables + 2 moderating variables? (one moderating variables moderates the relationship between one independent variable and the dependent variable, and the other one moderates the relationship between a different independent variable and the dependent variable). thank you
Yes. It is possible. But ensure that you make a strong case as to why you wish to employ any statistical approach to arrive at your findings and conclusions. The most important thing is that the processes that led to your findings must be clear, concise and unambiguous.
Should we keep the dependent variable part in questionnaire or simply we can get it with help of independent variable .
Thank you. Every variable in your study should be part of your questionnaire.
My oga greetings. Is it inappropriate to mean center the dependent variable? I realized it was the three independent variables (all the supports) and the moderator - (inflexibility). Abeg clear me. Using it on one of my objectives in my program. Greet you boss!
Thank you sir. You do not need to mean-centre the dependent variable because, it is the one receiving the effects from the predictors (moderator and independent variables).
Thank you Dr. I have a question. My model hast 5 independent variable and 1 Moderator and 1 dependent Variable.
I have to mean center 2 independent values because of the Moderator. (As you Showed in your Videos) but i do have still the other 3 independent Variables. Should i also mean centered them for the Multiple regression analysis?
All independent variables and moderator variables for Hierarchical Regression should be mean centred.
For multiple regression analysis, do not mean centre them
if my data not normal how can i test regression?
Not recommended to run a regression with a data that is not normally distributed.
What about smart pls for not normal data
Dr. How can you write the formula for this analysis?
SPSS has provided you with the opportunity to perform the analysis, now you ask for a formula to manually calculate the analysis? The video is not about manual calculation.
Doc I was asking because I have seen in some papers they include formulas in there write up. Y= bo +Bx1+e, up to the end..

The reason for using SPSS is to help you navigate the challenges associated with calculating the analysis by hand using the formula.
It is not vivid to see; it is blurred. Would you make vivid?
Thank you. The video is clear and clean. It may be internet issues. Thanks
What if none of the interactions is significant?
You report your results. A non-significant interaction results will not have any interaction results.
@@Dr.Okolie if the moderator is significant but negative, what's your say on this Dr?
@@kalalakanyanda8418 Then, there is an interaction. Plot the interaction graph to learn the interaction slope. Normally, it may show a decrease effect on the dependent variable.
As you see, inflex_x_friends is negative significant. I am wondering why you choose to move it out and continue to only consider and report the results of inflex_x_parents? Thank you for your answering.
Also wanna know why to knock out inflex_x_friends (negatively significant), then knock out inflex_X_teachers (non-significant), but only keep inflex_x_parents, I guess this part was not well explained.
Thank you Dr.Okolie..
Multiple regression with a moderator, mediator, independent and dependent variable?
To run a moderated mediation, you'll succeed with a path analysis or ProcessMacro rather than a multiple regression in SPSS
