I am so glad you clarified that for me, but what is the common name an American would call "football" in our modern society. Soccor, so Slash not being from the 1880 I presume, would only call "Soccor" football if he felt the British termination suited it better, or if he was part of a British heritage- Which is what I was pointing out.

They are both right, the proper name is association football but soccer was popular in Britain and then the rest of the world from 1880 to the late 1930's when it lost popularity everywhere but North America, S Africa, Australia & New Zealand etc so both soccer and football are correct shortened terms for its real name, i'm so tired of fellow European's who dont know the history of this sport and come out with this tired rubbish.
