I'd say avoid it ... RGB u can just control with your mobo software or bootpage.. and temperature is not gonna be smart one.. meaning software won't matter as the cooler does not have any usb connection and the only way it's getting the temperature reading is from a thermocouple attached to the coldpate of the cooler..
Did you download the software? Half the bad reviews I read said that the display doesn't work and the other half of the reviews said it was too big, I figured the reviewers were dumb. I just got one and the last page of the instruction manual says to download the temp monitoring software.
Well my unit didn't have any usb cable just argb, SATA power, and pwm fan cables (as I shown in my video).. I guess they made a silent revision.. possibly after seeing my review (jk hehe) 😜
@@ronstechreviews hmm, these seem to vary a lot. Mine has the same name but different metal tubing and a solid polished plate that meets the CPU. No wonder the reviews are all over, I read one complaining about the 3 cables(guy had no room) and mine had 4.
Oh sorry, I really forgot to check specifically that if it works with asus aura, but i believe it does as it did as it will be detected an LED strip at least, so basically will follow whatever argb setting you will set in aura
Yep should be fine with the 12600k as I did test it with the all core overclocked 5900x.. you would be getting normal temps without any CPU thermal throttling with this cooler
Download and install Asus "AI Suite 3" if it is not already installed on your system.. after you open it, then you'll see "Fan Xpert 4" click that, then it will open a module where u can adjust the fan speed curve to your liking.. If you don't want to install any software.. just load into your bios and go to Q-fan control and adjust it there
The unit I reviewed had these cables as shown in the video.. i believe (pointed to me by a viewer) they have silently released a new version under the same name, which has a usb2.0 cable so that it reads the CPU temps via software. The SATA power cable is just to provide additional power in case your motherboard header is unable to run all the rgb leds in my model
It will be fine with a full sized ATX mobo.. but like I mentioned in the video if you have 4 RAM sticks just check out the clearance or that u have low profile RAM sticks. If you are using only 2 RAM sticks then you won't have any issues no matter how tall the RAM sticks are
Currently you don't get the latest lga1700 mounting bracket in the box.. and I think they haven't released a separate mounting kit for the 1700 either.. so if u want to use for the LGA1700 (12th+ Gen Intel) then go for the ones that have the kit inside the box.. or atleast the ones that they sell (mostly for free) mounting kit separately
Ahh.. TDP of 5900x is 105W.. however since I have done an all core overclock the actual CPU package power during testing is 150W.. so kind of an extreme stress test case.. in essence this cooler will handle most CPUs easily.. I wouldn't suggest this cooler or even most other air coolers for the latest high end Ryzen 9 and Intel i9 CPUs
Since your mobo is only a 2 RAM slot one I believe it will interfere with the RAM sticks.. But if you have low profile RAM sticks then you should be ok
The led(argb) 3 pin cable .. that will go to your motherboard's argb header.. your motherboard's argb software would be already installed on your Windows if not, download it from the website of your motherboard's manufacturer.
Thank you for making this video for all of us to see it.
Thank you for this video!
There is software that has to be downloaded from there website to have accurate readings and rgb control...

Quick question.. in your unit, does the cooler have a USB cable that has to be attached to the USB motherboard header?
@@ronstechreviews yes.

Good review, I always thought that fans are overprized as fuck and this showed me that. Have a good day. Is it compatible with Asus Aura?
Oh sorry, I really forgot to check specifically that if it works with asus aura, but i believe it does as it did as it will be detected an LED strip at least, so basically will follow whatever argb setting you will set in aura
Yes It is
Is it good enough for Ryzen 5 5600x while gaming
More than good enuf.. it will run cool.
Can I use this cpu air cooler with my 12600k?
Yep should be fine with the 12600k as I did test it with the all core overclocked 5900x.. you would be getting normal temps without any CPU thermal throttling with this cooler
how do you turn up the fan speed becuz my amoury crate shows the cpu can only going 600rpm

What RGB power strips are those?
Do u mean the RGB cable of the cooler and fans? If so, then it's the 3pin argb cable.
thxs
Does this cpu cooler can use on matx mobo with mini tower casing
Just make sure u have low profile ram (ram sticks with less height).. other than that the cooler will be compatible on any motherboard and in any case
i have "alseye m240 plus " , please help me , who to change the color of rgb , it's just green
Once you have connected to the motherboard argb header.. you can then open your motherboard's RGB control software in Windows to change the RGB..
where is sata power

@@ronstechreviews Thank you that's great to know
Does it fit in the lian li o11d with the glass on?
It doesn't... The cooler is a bit too tall at 160mm .. the O11D supports coolers up to 155mm..
Resfria bem um ryzen 7 5700g ?
sim, será capaz de resfriar facilmente um Ryzen 7 5700G
Does it work in asus tuf gaming b460 plus...?

Is this supported lga 1700?

How to change the rgb color?
If connected directly to your motherboard, the use the motherboards software to change it
@@ronstechreviews which one the cpu fan or the the led cable?

boa tarde , ele serve placa Am3 ? vi que vem um adaptador
Desculpe, não posso confirmar que um adaptador AM3 existe/funciona neste cooler.. Não testei nenhum
How to put 4 RAM on the motherboard ?
With this cooler u can't with the RAM I have.. you will need a low profile RAM like Corsair vengeance LPX or otherv similar height RAM sticks
can't use 4 ram memories?
You could use 4 sticks if they are low profile ram
agradeço
